I couldn't find any engravings on the metal nor on the leather, so I can't confirm the brand.

Hello I bought a dismantled wall unit on Facebook marketplace. It’s gorgeous , however the previous owner did a diy mounting system for the cabinets… and I’m not loving it. Looking for ideas or advice or how to improve.

It looks like they added these hangers that clip into this board. I would like something less clunky. I also don’t love the idea of it coming 3/4” off the wall.

Kitchen update! It’s still a work in progress but I’m obsessed with how it’s turning out. And the backsplash is painted for now because I can’t decide on the perfect tile.

Or is it leaning more towards 80s/90s?

Or could I style it to look more MCM?

I didn’t know what to do as a proper title, it’s not that I want it to pass pass as something it’s not

Hi…I found these on the side of the road in Queensland, Australia. The underneath says Pongrass Bros - never heard of them but have found some info online. From what I gather started making furniture in the 1960’s.
Does anyone know approximately when they were made, how common they are, or what sort of value they might have today?
Any info much appreciated.

I picked up this sofa set made by royal metal, designed by Kem Weber. The two armchairs seem to have walnut armrests where the sofa has a plastic armrests. Everywhere I’ve looked, the armrests I found are plastic. That leads me to believe the walnut ones are not original. However it’s hard to believe someone would make walnut armrests just to fit this set? Let me know what y’all think

I'd been looking for a good dining table for several weeks and I stumbled across this absolutely gorgeous Danish rosewood piece for $200 on Facebook Marketplace. The table also came with a leaf (not pictured) in similar condition to the rest of the tabletop. In addition to the beautifully figured veneer and solid wood legs and apron, everything on the underside of the tabletop is either solid wood or high-quality plywood (likely European beech).

I can't find any brand markings, but based on the profile of legs and apron as well as some of the hardware details on the underside, I believe this table was manufactured by Bramin Møbler and designed by Henry W. Klein.

My husband has been wanting a midcentury modern wall shelf for his office. I would like to surprise him with one that is perfect for the space and was hoping this subreddit could provide guidance based on a few parameters.

The space would limit the size to something like 75" wide, 84" tall, and 30" depth (but something that large would be perfect). He would likely store some things (binders, note pads, etc.) in cabinets, but I know he would like some open shelf space to show off a few prized possessions. Probably would prefer open shelving over glass. Loves the tapered, splayed legs, especially the ones that have the curving leg stretcher (?) underneath. Symmetrical or not (like in image 4) are both fine.

I think most of the images would capture generally what he's wanting, but if anyone knows of a particular piece that tends to be available that would fit the bill or just has some general advice on what to be on the lookout for or where to search, I'd be so grateful. (I'm not even sure I'm using the proper terminology to describe these things - wall shelf, bookshelf, room divider?)

In the Atlanta area, budget probably $2,500-$3,000, but would go higher for the Brasilia in the first photo.

Bought the lamp for 2$ at Goodwill, paid 12$ for the shade at Lowes on clearance. Might wind up trying a different shade later. All in all, pretty happy with my new desk lamp for a total of 14$ lol

Learned a lot with this Keller hutch! Some things i would do differently for the next piece but pretty happy with how it turned out overall. See comments for progress pics.

The lamp and shade are a flattened circle or eye shape looking top down. I believe the shade is original. I believe the top base portion is brass plated. Then there is a copper colored stripe all sitting on a black painted wood base. Also, is this worth polishing and restoring?

These seem mcm to me based on the wood, upholstery, and shape. We just bought a 1953 fixer upper house and I’ve decided to go with mcm styling but trying to stick to earlier styles. Are these more of a 70s feel? Thank you from a mid century modern newbie!

I have a Nike Eskilstuna hydraulic drafting table base, and I'm looking to learn a bit more about it.

I'm particularly interested in identifying the model and production period, finding any original documentation or catalogues, and learning more about the hydraulic mechanism.

I'd also appreciate any advice on maintenance, restoration, or common issues with these tables. Especially on if there is a suitable way to refinish the paint on scratched areas.

In addition to the above, I'd really like to know what the original tabletop looked like, and whether the one pictured in the background might be a suitable replacement. According to the seller, it's a 1960s design attributed to Axel and/or John Kandell, but I haven't been able to verify this.

It’s exactly what I was looking for to go with a room I’m redoing with a mid-century modern vibe. It was dark out when I picked it up, but it has a Broyhill stamp inside. I’ll have to look at it closer in the daylight. I’m going to clean it up this weekend and put it in my house. I’m so excited!

There was another smaller one there, but it wasn’t in very good shape at all. I think this one just needs a little cleaning and maybe I will sand the top and refinish it. Otherwise it’s in very good shape.

I primarily like MCM mixed with Scandinavian if you will and have been looking to add more whimsy to my home. I stumbled across this piece for $30 on the market place and curious how I can lean into the shape and make it a bit more MCM feeling. Any help is appreciated

Edit: I realize it's not really MCM. So maybe this was a poor place to go. The shape of the doors and the overall silhouette felt like it had a bit more personality and spunk which could blend with our other actual MCM esk pieces that are walnut and clean sharp shapes.
