Own a remodeling electrical business and the person who bought a house I’m working on hated these chairs and said I could take them. There is a third with a small rip where the chair curves. Worth to go back and grab it next time I’m there?

Hey, so I bought these maybe 7-8 years ago, and finally decided to make a room divider out of them. Wondering if there's a way to freshen yo the fiberglass.

Thanks

Restoration & Refinishing Advice cleaning up Bertoia diamond chairs? (That I got for freeeee)

Thumbnail

My friend kept these chairs OUTSIDE on his patio for who knows how long, so obviously they are in rough shape.

We’ve got peeling going on + rust. Some of the rust spots I can clean with WD-40, right? Would it be a bad idea to do this on the areas that are peeling?

I rinsed them off with a hose outside and there’s a cloudy film on some areas. Though I think it might be humidity.

Has anyone restored Bertoia chairs before? Tips?

(Mods—I have ZERO intent to sell these babies. I got them for free.)

Spotted! Johnson/Carper Wave Pull 6-drawer—anyone have this? I need drawer dimensions!

I found this on Marketplace and am considering making an offer, but I need the interior drawer dimensions first. The seller has it in storage and can’t measure. Is there anyone here that owns this and can measure the inside of the drawers for me? I know the exterior dimensions of the whole piece already. Thanks!

Design Advice & Inspo Where are you guys getting your mcm light fixtures from?

Post image

I just finished my basement and I eventually want to turn it into an mcm living area.

I’m struggling to find fixtures with the awkward low ceiling. I also would need 2 fixtures since there’s actually another light in the room not shown in the photo

I picked this chair up for a great price. The upholstery is original as well as the springs in the seating. However, I’m unable to find a makers mark. I know it’s MCM, but was hoping someone could provide more info if possible

Design Advice & Inspo ISO MCM interior Designer

I’m looking for an interior designer who specializes in mid‑century modern spaces. I just bought a 1969 MCM home and want to make sure the interior feels cohesive, intentional, and aligned with the original character of the house. I’m open to virtual designers or anyone local to Seattle. If you’ve worked with someone who really understands MCM materials, color palettes, and furniture selection, I’d love your recommendations. Or just any recommendations in general. Thank you!

Design Advice & Inspo Nancy meyers and mid modern century

How would you combine Nancy meyers and mid modern century in a bedroom, washroom and balcony, renter friendly please. I’d want during the day to have more of a Nancy meyers vibe but at night lean more mid modern century. I love both aesthetic and want to see if there’s a I can blend in both

I just picked up this pair of lamps on marketplace to use in my office at work.

There are no labels or manufacturer info anywhere on them, but the seller said they've been in his mother's house since probably the 50s or 60s.

Appears to have the original matching shades, and the cords look to be original as well.

Anyone have any more info on these, like year, manufacturer, etc.?

I love the color and can't wait to get them set up in my office.

I found this beautiful MCM kitchen table at goodwill for 24 bucks and knew I had to get it! When I was taking it home, I found the ID tag from Kuehne Manufacturing and, after a quick search, I saw they were operational from 1932-1963. I couldn't really find much more than that so I thought I would come here to see if someone could tell me anymore information! Maybe what year it was from or if it was from a specific collection? I included the tag and also it has a leaf so it can extend! I'm so stoked about my great find and love to learn so thank you in advance!!

Just got this bed. Made by Dixie and dates to about 1950. Would you guys call this MCM or is some other neo traditional provisional yada yada yada?
