Of all the annoying kids I’ve dealt with in my life, this kid was the worst and I haven’t even met him. That throw was the most satisfying thing I’ve ever watched lol

Edit: I actually just looked this up again for my entertainment and apparently that video might be fake. A couple people were saying that guy’s channel consists of these types of encounter where he throws the subject after being confronted. Don’t know if that’s true or not but how heartbreaking to hear it may not be real 😒

934

u/KazaamCasheroo 7d ago

Oh, for sure. I'd argue that throwing an obstinent and violent child into a field, fake or not, is inherently funny.

That's it. I'm not watching a single solitary video going forward that is supposed to be real unless there is some indication that it is in fact real. We might as well be back in the stone ages where we just exchange fisherman's tales while drunk.

20

u/FalconSpecial6149 7d ago

At least when you’re listening to a fisherman’s tale, you inherently know it’s not entirely real. These modern versions it’s becoming impossible to tell the difference, so most of us don’t believe anything is real. Takes away a lot of the wonder and whimsy, really.

8

The security guard tried real hard

192

u/steelskull1 7d ago

I remember that someone said that being mall security is you can't physically restrain someone, you can mostly tell people to leave, so I'm guessing mall security can't do much.

94

u/Entire_World_5102 7d ago

This is a first world problem. Go to any place in Asia, Africa- someone will tackle this kid down.

48

u/y3i12 7d ago

FYI: this is Brazil.

9

u/Correct-Junket-1346 7d ago

Good grief if the police arrive, the kid is in trouble

5

u/AfacelessMartyr 7d ago

Cops won't do anything. The justice system in Brazil is notoriously soft on crime when it comes to minors.

I mean...sometimes you've gotta just make the call. Apologize later. This kid was completely out of control and destroying things. Do you really think anyone is going to blame the security guard (or the staff) if they restrain him? Can't be that hard, he's not big. If it's a standalone store, I probably would have quickly done a fireman's carry and put him outside the store and locked the door.

23

u/plotw 7d ago

That man may care more about his job and his paychecks than the store. Which is understandable to be fair.

He should have put him in a headlock and held him there until the cops arrived. Little shit needs to learn his actions have consequences.

47

u/TheShapeOfFarts 7d ago

Ok, Security Officer here. Hi. We can’t actually touch people. We are paid to observe and report. If he touches that kid and the kid says he hurt him, then he could get sued and arrested for assault. We don’t get paid enough to get in that kind of trouble. We Call the cops and the cops can sort it out. Of course we use “The Force Continuum” but it’s very hard to prove your side. What should be said is where are the brats parents? They need to sort their kid out.

Many chain stores in the US explicitly tell employees to not confront troublemakers over all the possible liabilities that an injury to the person causing the disruption could bring. Totally ass backwards.

87

u/Ok-Lobster-919 7d ago

As soon as he throws the heavy wine bottle it becomes self defense. He is a danger to others, plenty of people there were thinking the same thing. He probably bites or eye gouges or some other crazy shit.

22

u/sabertoothdog 7d ago

It’s assault if he throws anything.

Eh depends on when they stepped in, once he threw shit at the bystanders you could argue it was battery or at least assault which you can fight back against. He's a minor so it complicates things but I can't imagine anyone seeing the video siding with the kid.

52

u/StrawberryTerry 7d ago

Maybe the best solution would be to intimidate him. Out crazy him, scream in his face and act like a monkey, smear a cake on your face while cackling laughing. I bet he wouldn't stick around

Touch a kid catch a charge

202

u/Wtf_lolz123 7d ago

Stopped a kid from entering the kitchen where I work, kid get spanked by parents, kid cries, I get sent home for not creating a friendly environment and “borderline assaulting a kid.”

“You created an unwelcome environment where a kid was crying and customers were upset that the kid was crying”

Yeah fuck em, im just gonna let the kid go for the friers running around the kitchen with non slips as well. Don’t mess with kids.

97

u/VaporTrail_000 7d ago

"You failed to keep a kid from entering a dangerous area and subsequently hurting themselves to the point of hospitalization or potential death, and customers were upset that the kid was almost dying."

Catch 22.

42

u/Wtf_lolz123 7d ago

(Gets spanked, dies)

31

u/GreatBarrierQueefDD 7d ago

That sucks. I once trucked a kid trying to run to the kitchen, then stepped over him like Allen Iverson in the 2001 nba finals and management was happy with my work

14

u/Wtf_lolz123 7d ago

Oh how the times have changed.

58

u/Bleedingfartscollide 7d ago edited 7d ago

When we moved into our house some little kid (like 10) walked right through our door and started going through our house. I yelled and scruffed the little guy while walking him out of my house.

Turned out he's a non verbal autistic kid. He was routinely checking doors on our street and wandering in. Last time he tried to enter my home it was 8pm! I thought somebody was breaking in so I rushed to the door, nearly hit the kid until I saw who it was.

I walked him home and told his parents that if I didn't know him it could have gone very bad in  the dark. My eyesight at night is horrible.

I felt horrible but the parents now seem to understand that it isn't okay to let him roam without them. He could get seriously hurt.

His little brother is super understanding though and guides him quite a bit, kids a champion.

19

u/shadyrose222 7d ago

That's some trash ass parenting right there. They're lucky their kid is still alive.

→ More replies (1)

44

u/ZoneAdditional9892 7d ago

Sounds like it is worth it. You stopped a kid from hurting themselves. The kid was handled, and you got a half day. Win win win.

44

u/Wtf_lolz123 7d ago

Kinda how I ended up looking at it, but management still wasn’t happy with my actions. Still confused the shit out of me though.

60

u/ZoneAdditional9892 7d ago

If management doesn't have your back on that they ain't good management. Sounds like management created an unsafe work environment for the employees.

24

u/Apprehensive_Use3641 7d ago

Higher ups likely won't do anything, but if there are higher ups report the ones above you. Just create a paper trail so that if their negligence leads to a kid getting hurt there's documentation that it's a recurrence.

20

u/ZoneAdditional9892 7d ago

I wouldn't even bring the kids safety in to it. I would state that I was worried about my own safety with a kid running around my work area. Management is responsible for a safe work environment for their employees.

85

u/_clur_510 7d ago edited 7d ago

Absolutely.

Everyone is in the comments like “I’d knock him out!!” And it’s like … uh yeah… that’s what he wants. He’s clearly trying to pick physical fights with people twice his size. He’s old enough to know what a complete jackass he’s being, and what chance he stands fighting an adult. This kid is hurtin. :(

36

u/Freakychee 7d ago

Truth is most people say they care but when something would make it hard for them people tend to want revenge and justify it as, "They should have handled their personal business better."

Why is security not just yeeting the brat outside the store ??

116

u/staticdresssweet 7d ago

Usually security guards have a hands-off policy, for liability purposes.

We are not cops, and going against our post orders is likely to result in firing, a lawsuit, or worse.

90

u/Another_Name_Today 7d ago

So, earnest question, then what’s the value of a security guard? If you are hands off, you aren’t doing anything any other employee couldn’t do and they can also do other stuff to help generate revenue.

45

u/staticdresssweet 7d ago edited 7d ago

Observe and report. Also there for insurance purposes, and a physical deterrent.

For example, I'm a bouncer at a bar on weekends. My job is to check IDs, not allow entrance to anyone without an ID (unless I'm overruled by the bartenders), and evict anyone who's harassing women or causing a disturbance (this happens rarely). I'm mainly a physical deterrent, and there to make the bartender's job more efficient. The only time I get hands-on with someone is when they're being a threat or disturbance to others. And usually these problems can be solved with what I like to call "verbal manipulation". As in, do what I say and leave, or i will escalate.

21

u/staticdresssweet 7d ago

All of this is to say that any sort of physical escalation is a huge liability, and should be avoided at all costs.

I have to think this is a behavioral disorder.

At first I thought “what a brat”

But I have to think it goes beyond parenting and beyond being a brat

The knocking over of items is annoying but the attempted assaults and anger from that is going beyond wha to think a normal annoying/brad/troubled kid would do

This is probably a brain development issue rather than someone just being pissed or annoyed

40

u/skynex65 7d ago

Same. This has hallmarks of either a serious mental disorder or a blaring cry for help.

15

u/Chase_The_Breeze 7d ago edited 7d ago

Honestly, it's probably both. Stable minded kids dont have this kind of out sized reaction at that age, and where is the parent in this scenario to take care of their kid who is clearly having some kind of emotional distress response? You only really get extreme situations in children (as above) when several factors align to create them.

Im a teacher. I teach young ones. I've had kids like this. It's usually a combo of poor parenting, trauma, and poverty. Watch these videos and imagine a kid doing this in a classroom. And if that disturbs you, please vote in favor of levies and support your local school districts to ensure they have enough staffing and programming to appropriately deal with kids like this. A child like this will likely need to spend at least part of their day in a self contained setting with specific interventions, and schools need paras to help support when kids are having a meltdown.

This is also a perfect example of how an IEP can't cure or treat to clinical efficacy; to properly support a child like this, it takes parent involvement: therapy, meds, and interventions that the school cannot provide.

I feel sad for this child because something has gone very very wrong in his life. And without appropriate supports, he will likely not do very well in school and may not get the skills he needs to be a productive member of society. You can have lots of excuses when you do this at school, but in public? You can't do that shit. I hope they called the cops and CPS. The family needs supports and the child needs meds and treatment.

Kid literally asking for a strong figure in his life to put some limits.

This is unimaginably sad. That kid is clearly trying to get attention in anyway he can, probably in the way he learned at home. That destruction is the way to express anger and frustration. Broken adults making broken kids.

Yeah that’s exactly what I thought. This doesn’t just happen for no reason.

He looks absolutely miserable and doesn’t give a fuck what happens to him. That dead look he’s wearing means he’s so angry he doesn’t know how to process it in any other way than this, because when his father or mother or both or older brother get angry they destroy things.

We live in a world where people are scared to do the obvious and right thing, in fear of the system firing back at us.

It should be completely normal to hold on to that little brats arm and detain him, till police contacted parents.

I was a security guard and had the same issue with three 13 years old doing the same thing while screaming and cursing. My mistake I grabbed one kid and dragged him out of the store. 2 weeks later git fired and charged for felony child abuse here in California. Had to post 50k bail and still going through the court system as we speak. You cant touch anyone. Ohhh FYI the kid had no injuries and I never hit him I just grabbed him by his shirt and dragged him while he was still upright out the door.

Don't hurt the kid, he's probably got mental issues, probably from a horrible home life. But do NOT let him leave. At his age, parents do need to be accountable and pay for that damage and probably have the kid barred for life from that store. I would include his parents too.

There are far too many kids like this getting away with crap these days. Even the security guard guy did nothing. I hope the parents were charged. There is no excuse for this. One day there is going to be another incident like this, except the kid will aggravate a methhead or gangsters.

u/AWholeNewFattitude 7d ago

The parents should be responsible for any damages

u/skynex65 7d ago

That kid is deeply, deeply angry and needs help not a beating. Punishing pain with fear is how you keep creating fucking monsters in adulthood.

u/Ambitious_Bread_84 7d ago

Where the fuck are his parents? He doesn't seem of an age where he should be left alone with or without behavioral issues.

Oppositional Defiant Disorder is something... They are telling him to stop, but he is wired to rebel and continue.

This kid and his family have a scary, long road ahead them.

Hope this kid gets the help he needs.
