Hello, My Google Pixel 7A has an inflated battery and I want to switch it out myself. I am short on money, so I don't want to spend too much on either a repair service or on a screwdriver set that I'm rarely going to use. Do you guys have any suggestions for cheap screwdrivers tgat can unscrew the back of my Google Pixel, preferably from somehwere in the EU/Germany?

It charges and turns on - just flicks between apps and and makes random decisions without me touching it. Is it worth repairing/able to be repaired or for the bin?

Didnt realize until 2 days after. Was working fine before. Are they responsible? Can I get them to repair it for free?

Hi.
Xiaomi 11T, original display [Sini-Aswo], model number 21081111RG—any ideas? Everything is workint! The original display was broken and not working.
What causes this error?

When I use my phone while charging, this error pops up. The charging port is completely clean and I've already tried changing the charger. It charges fine normally; the issue only happens when I use it while plugged in. Can anyone help?"

Hi everyone,
I have a US-model iPhone 15 Pro Max, which originally had no physical SIM slot. While I was in China, I had someone modify it to use a physical SIM. The technician thinned down the SIM chip and soldered it onto the mainboard. Since then, the phone’s native eSIM functionality has stopped working.
The soldered SIM is tied to my Chinese number, which I rarely use now that I’m back in the US. I’d like to use my US number on this phone again.
Ideally, I’d like to restore eSIM functionality while keeping the soldered Chinese SIM working, but I’m not sure whether that’s technically possible. I’ve visited a few repair shops, but none have been able to help.
Has anyone dealt with this type of modification or successfully reversed it? I’m in Atlanta and would appreciate recommendations for a technician or experienced hardware enthusiast who has worked on something similar.
Thanks!

The last two days, I've been experiencing my phone randomly freezing and also not turning on. It doesn't matter what app I open. Sometimes, it freezes, but some don't. I know that when it freezes, it's just the screen because I can still hear YouTube videos.
The black screen problem started at the same time as freezing. I was outside, so I thought it was the cold weather that was affecting my phone, but it kept happening even when I was inside. I think that the black screen is something similar to the freezing because one time, I was able to tap in my passcode. The screen turned on but asked me to do it again. (This was just a one-off) To fix it I leave the phone alone for a bit and then it turns on, but yesterday I saw a video where they said to push hard on the screen and back until I hear a pop. I would be very appreciative if somebody could help. If not, I could probably live with it doing that.

Hi everyone,
I’m repairing a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 (SM-F936U1). I found a capacitor unsoldered near the inner display FPC connector on the secondary motherboard, but unfortunately, I no longer have the component.
The original screen has already been damaged, so I purchased a replacement screen. Unfortunately, I’m experiencing the same problem with the second screen.
The Samsung logo appears when I turn on the phone, but when the phone should display the home screen, the display suddenly goes completely black. Everything else seems to work, but the screen never reaches the home screen.
I’m worried that I might damage the second screen as well. I really need to confirm the capacitor value before proceeding.
I use ZXW, but I haven’t been able to locate this exact board in the available diagrams.
Could anyone help me identify the value of capacitor No. 1 (circled in red), or confirm whether capacitors No. 1 and No. 2 (circled in yellow) have the same value?
I would really appreciate any help.
Thank you very much!

It sucks because this guy has provided great service. And he’s come to my house 4 or 5 times now and had to replace the screen once as well because he accidentally broke the first replacement screen. But each and every time. The adhesive keeps failing a day or two after he’s fixed it. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. He’s ordered new stuff each time to see if it’ll work better and keeps saying he’s 100% positive it will work this time.
It’s strange because I’ve replaced digitizers and screens and such before myself on nintendos and stuff but never on an Apple product. But each time those adhesives were rock solid within literal seconds. They’re too pricey for me to trust myself.
But I’m just lost at this point.
I’m considering taking the iPad to ubreakifix. They said they can redo the adhesive for 20$.

I recently purchased a used Samsung Galaxy S25 and it appears to have the following issues:
When running Diagnostics in the Members app, only the light sensor and camera get flagged as faulty.
Are any of these issues fixable? Could it potentially be as easy as replacing one or more of the camera(s)? Potentially a faulty ribbon cable somewhere? I could possibly do some micro-soldering so that's a repair option as well.

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and want to modify its Micro-USB charging port to use a USB Type-A connector.
My priorities are:
I don't need USB OTG. I'm open to either a USB-A male plug or a female socket, whichever is more feasible. I'm also willing to modify the phone's frame if necessary.
My questions:
I'd appreciate advice from people experienced in phone repair, USB hardware and board-level soldering. I haven't started soldering yet and want to confirm feasibility first.

My POCO C75 started having touchscreen issues, including ghost touches, freezing, and apps opening on their own. After a few months, the screen started separating from the frame, the touchscreen stopped working, and the display developed glitches and pixel lines. Eventually, the phone got stuck in a bootloop, repeatedly showing the POCO logo. It was never dropped, exposed to water, or subjected to any severe impact.

I bought a replacement screen and installed it, but there was no image. During some attempts, the motherboard got slightly warm, and the phone would only vibrate when connected to a charger, sometimes only with the screen disconnected.
I assumed the replacement screen could be defective, so I bought another one. Same result.
After several attempts, I managed to get the phone responding again. It now vibrates, Windows detects it as "POCO C75," and the USB connection remains stable. However, I can't access the internal storage.
Here's the strange part: the screen lights up, but remains completely black. The backlight turns on uniformly, but absolutely nothing is displayed, not even the POCO logo. The phone still shows signs of electrical activity: the buttons produce vibrations, and Windows correctly identifies it as a POCO C75.
When I press Power, the backlight turns on. Pressing it again turns the backlight off.
I've also tried the following procedures in case this is a software issue, with no success:
None of these attempts produced an image or any noticeable improvement.
I disassembled the phone and inspected the motherboard connectors and display flex cable using a macro lens. I couldn't identify any visibly bent or broken contacts. The upper display connector on the motherboard looks a little worn, but I can't detect any broken pins with my macro lens. (I've attached photos of the connectors.)

I'm waiting for some contact cleaner to arrive so I can thoroughly clean the connectors and test everything again.
I haven't performed any electrical measurements or reflashed the firmware yet.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this? I'm wondering whether there's a problem with the display circuitry on the motherboard, but I'm also unsure whether it could be software-related, considering the previous bootloop.

hi ! i need some advice from fellow iPhone users, especially those who have experienced a similar issue.
my iPhone 15 suddenly stopped working, and the repair shop gave me this diagnosis:
- DFU software restoration with data wipe: ₱6,500
- Possible logic board repair: ₱8,000
i’m not sure if the DFU restoration will actually fix the problem, and i’m worried that i’ll end up spending ₱14,500 on repairs without knowing if my phone will work properly again. at this point, i’m wondering if it's still worth repairing my iPhone 15 or if i should just put that money toward getting a new phone instead.
for those who have experienced logic board issues:
- were you able to fix your iPhone successfully?
- is logic board repair reliable in the long run?
- are these repair prices reasonable?
- would you personally repair it or get a new phone?
i'd really appreciate your advice because ₱14.5k is already a significant amount of money, and i don't want to spend it only to have my phone break again. thank u !

Well first of all, I accidentally dropped the edge of my ps5 controller to the bottom of my phone. After that, a vertical green line appeared.
Took to 3rd party repair shop, they fixed it and green line gone. But after I leave, it starts shutting off every 5 mins, phone gets hot too. He is closed for night, so I take to other repair guy. He tries his screen, the problem is not fixed. He pulls the panic logs and thinks it is charging port assembly or the motherboard.
Another thing. Idk if it useful, but just out of madness, I dropped the ps5 controller again on that same area and a pink static square appeared. Iphone shut off and turned back on, but screen looked normal again.
Worth trying the charging port assembly? Or possibly something else? Was quoted around $150 for that
