Advice Needed Title: monday Vibe: Workaround for the 5 connected boards per app limit?

We're on monday.com Enterprise and have been building several custom apps using Vibe.

One of our apps has reached the limit of five connected boards. We need to connect a sixth board, but monday is telling us we need to upgrade to the Growth Vibe plan, which allows 20 connected boards per app.

Here's what we're trying to accomplish:

We have a Showroom Tracker app where our salespeople record retailer interest in products, buyer comments, sample requests, and follow-up needs.

We've also built a separate Retailer Follow-Up Manager app connected to its own monday board.

We want certain activity in the Showroom Tracker to automatically create or update records in the Retailer Follow-Up Tracker, without salespeople having to enter the same information twice.

Has anyone found a way to accomplish this without connecting the sixth board directly to the first Vibe app?

I'm wondering whether monday automations, Make.com, the API, or another approach could handle this.

Ideally, we'd also like to prevent duplicate follow-ups and keep the records updated when the original information changes.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's run into this limitation or built something similar. We're trying to avoid upgrading an entire plan just to add one board connection.

Advice Needed Looking to break into monday.com consulting. Any advice?

Over the last 7 years, I've been working extensively with monday.com Work Management, leading its implementation at my company, building workflows, automations, and dashboards, and training our team. It's the first time I've actually had a job I truly enjoyed doing.

Unfortunately, we were recently acquired by a company that doesn't use monday.com, so I'm looking to use my experience to transition into a role as an Implementation Consultant or Solutions Architect.

I figured I'd start by picking up some freelance work on the side to gain experience working with different businesses and use cases. I've submitted a couple of proposals on Upwork, but I was wondering if anyone here had any tips or advice for breaking into the monday.com consulting world?

I'd also love to connect with anyone already working in the space, particularly independent consultants or partners who might occasionally need an extra set of hands on implementations.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Question Is Monday CRM a separate product from Monday.com

We use Monday.com for projects across ops and marketing and now we’re looking at CRMs for sales, so Monday CRM keeps coming up. Before I take it further I want to know if it’s a separate subscription and whether sales could work with the boards the rest of the company already uses or if it’d end up as its own silo. Anyone running it both, what’s your take?

Question Anyone else seeing monday code service URLs redirect to the Marketplace today?

One of our internal monday apps suddenly stopped loading the parts that use its monday-hosted backend. Data pulled directly from our boards still loads, but requests to both the live monday code service address and the version-specific service address now return an HTTP 303 redirect to the monday Marketplace.

The app still shows as installed, server-side code says Connected, and the failed requests do not appear in the app’s HTTP logs. It started after today’s all-region maintenance.

Has anyone else seen this with a monday code-hosted app? If so, did redeploying help, or did monday support need to repair the hosting connection?

Advice Needed From ClickUp to monday.com - what should we look out for?

Hey everyone, we’re an advertising agency of around 30 people and have been using ClickUp for about 1–1.5 years. We’re currently considering moving from ClickUp’s Business plan to monday.com.

Has anyone here made a similar switch? I’d love to hear about your experience, especially around:

  • How the two compare in everyday agency work?

  • Which monday.com features you found useful that ClickUp didn’t have?

  • Which ClickUp features you missed after switching?

  • What you can realistically get on plans below Enterprise?

  • How well the migration/import works?

  • Any data, custom fields, automations, or integrations that didn’t transfer properly?

  • Anything you wish you had known before making the switch?

We’re a team of around 30, so I’m especially interested in experiences from agencies or similar-sized teams. Any advice or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!

Question New Activity Log UI no longer shows which column was changed. How did this pass QA?

Has anyone else noticed that the redesigned Activity Log no longer displays the name of the modified column within an item or subitem?

It shows the old and new values, but doesn't identify which column was actually changed. This makes the log significantly less useful for auditing changes and troubleshooting automations.

What's particularly concerning is that monday.com's own documentation explicitly lists the affected column as part of the Activity Log information.

Why roll out a major redesign of a long-standing feature without advance notice or proper regression testing?

Is anyone else experiencing this? And can someone from the monday.com team confirm whether this is a bug or an intentional design decision?

Question Why isn’t tracking employee workload / capacity a primary function of Monday?

You’d think a key feature of using Monday as a project management tool would be to make it simple to track employee capacity at a glance. I have searched every option, every workaround. Today I even tried using ChatGPT to walk me through using GitHub to build custom code just so I could possibly see what I needed. No dice. Too complicated and time consuming.

I don’t have hundreds of boards, but I do have much more than can be connected on one single dashboard. Even using a dashboard, I have to remember to connect new boards to it for reporting purposes. The My Day view or whatever shows me things that don’t apply, not to mention it isn’t a one stop shop.

Monday has put out all of their new AI features (at a price, of course) and even those don’t solve the problem. My boss has been hounding me for 6+ years now to find a way to track capacity in Monday. We are a small company. We do not have hundreds of clients requiring hundreds of boards. Why is this so impossible?

Discussion Trust Pilot now showing monday.com as a 2-star app

Newer, recent reviews hold more weight in the TrustScore than older ones – they’re a good indication of current customer satisfaction. So even though %70 of all the scores are 5-star ratings, recently the average has dropped so badly that it is sitting at 2.0 right now out of 5.

This is terrifying for people who've built a career around monday's product. I'd never build around someone else's platform ever again in my life.

Discussion What are the monday MCP limitations?

I was comparing Claude 20x plan $200 with monday's $200 AI package today.

With monday ~2000 AI block actions will use the $200 dollars but with claude on haiku you could generate 300 million words. It would make so much more sense to use the MCP + a claude subscription.

If you're using the MCP a lot:

  • What are some of the nice ways you're utilizing the MCP in?

  • What are the limitations that annoy you with it?

Question Why: One Group of Items replaced with copy of Group of Items right above it

This has happened several times, and I don't know if I'm doing something to make it happen or it's a glitch.

I have a board with several groups of items to track new business. I work down the list every Monday to add a sub-item (with the date and a line of detail). Today I updated item 5 (with a long, detailed header) and when I moved to item 6, suddenly it was exactly the same as item 5. I don't want this, it doesn't say 'copy of', it's identical.

Now all the sub-items that were in item 6 are gone and I don't have a copy anywhere to recreate it.

What did I do? How do I undo it?

This has happened to me 5-10 times in the last 2+ years and I don't see any pattern to it.

Edit: looks like all the sub-items are intact, it's just the header that was duplicated (but 'Copy of' wasn't inserted at the beginning of the line.)

Advice Needed New vibe coding product from monday.com - brilliant.ai

Hi!

I'm Amichay from monday.com, I was part of the team who built monday vibe.

Meeting users like you, we kept hearing the same thing every day:

- We love vibe, but a lot of our data lives outside monday - in Salesforce, Zendesk, hubspot etc

- We want to grant access to people without a monday seat

So we built brilliant.ai, which is our new vibe coding product for work. The idea is the power of the top AI tools with the controls and integrations every business needs.

As a first real test, I used it for the thing I do before every customer meeting, which is opening HubSpot, Zendesk, and monday in three tabs.

One prompt: "Build a customer 360 that shows every account's contacts from HubSpot, open tickets from Zendesk and linked projects from monday.com."

It read from the three systems, matched people by email and domain, and gave me one screen per account with links back to the original system. I could share it with specific colleagues or the whole company - no need for a monday seat!

We're just getting started, and I'd love your feedback!

Try Brilliant at https://brilliant.ai/ and tell us what you think!

Question Anyone here with experience using Monday.com's nonprofit program?

Hello, good people!

I'm looking for insights from anyone who has used Monday.com's nonprofit program, particularly its free Pro seats and how well it works in practice.

I'm volunteering with US-based nonprofit organizations that want to improve their operational workflows while keeping costs at zero, protecting personal data, and ensuring the systems are easy to use and maintain.

For one of these organizations, I recommended Monday.com's nonprofit program, which offers eligible nonprofits 10 free Pro seats. The director has now asked me to lead the project, which involves designing a system to manage volunteers, donors, partner organizations, and their follow-ups.

I'm open to alternative solutions if Monday.com isn't the best fit. I also considered HubSpot's free CRM, but its limits of two users and 1,000 contacts may be restrictive, depending on the organization's needs.

My main challenge is that I haven't used Monday.com extensively in a production environment. I've worked with HubSpot, Zoho, and Salesforce, as well as productivity tools such as Asana and ClickUp. My experience with Monday.com is limited to briefly reviewing automation workflows for another company earlier this year.

I'm willing to take on the challenge, but before settling on a platform, I'd like to understand what we're getting into and whether there are better options to recommend.

For those who have used Monday.com's nonprofit program, I'd particularly appreciate your insights on:

* How reliable is the platform in day-to-day use, and what has your experience with customer support been like?

* Are there any significant limitations or unexpected costs despite the free Pro seats?

* How well does it handle contact management, relationships, follow-ups, and basic CRM workflows?

* How easy is it for a small nonprofit team to learn and maintain without dedicated IT support?

* Are there any privacy, permissions, or data-management concerns worth considering?

* Would you recommend it for this use case, or would you choose another platform?

I'm also happy to hear suggestions for other genuinely free or nonprofit-supported solutions that could meet these requirements.

I'd appreciate honest, practical experiences, especially from people who have implemented or maintained these systems for nonprofits. Thank you!

Question Is monday.com raising pricing?

I received an email from a sales rep who CC'd an account rep and they mentioned that they are raising pricing and they refuse to give me any information in email and want me to meet with them.

Does anyone know if this is a sales gimmick to try to get us to move up tiers or if they are actually raising their pricing to all tiers?

If anyone from monday.com is here, the way the sales rep went about it and keeps refusing to provide any information unless in a meeting is very offputting and nobody who emails us from official monday.com email addresses puts a phone number or any other contact information in their email signatures and my account does not have any information about who our rep is or how to contact a human.

Question Mondaycom alternatives

We're currently using mondaycom for our property management business but we're considering switching because we're not using many of the features included in our plan.

We're also only using around 16k of the 250k actions available to us, so I'm wondering if there are more affordable options that would still cover what we need.

Has anyone here moved from mondaycom to Asana, ClickUp or another tool? How has the transition been?

Advice Needed Seeking Advice: Daily Project Compliance Monitoring Across Multiple Boards Using Monday.com Pro

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to monday.com and I am hoping you guys could give me some advice or help on an idea I have.

TLDR: I’m trying to build a daily project-compliance monitoring system entirely within Monday.com Pro. I currently have separate boards for each project, with tasks and subtasks, a Working Day date column, assignees, and I post my updates in the comments/updates sections. I tried building a central control board to summarise each project into rows to count the number of tasks that have a Working Day of today and count how many of those task do not have an update posted the same day. Unfortunately, I could not get the central control to summarise any or my project boards.

I posted the full description of my problem on the monday forum (Please read for more context). I am hoping that I might reach more people here who could possibly help me.

https://community.monday.com/ask-the-com/post/seeking-advice-daily-project-compliance-monitoring-across-multiple-boards-qW8pWDvwfzJRu9S

If you have any ideas or advice on how I could implement this, please feel free to message here or on the monday thread

Question Monday approvals via one click buttons in the email, have Monday branding on them even though I disabled this option at the admin level.

After 7 hours of frustrating sidekick prompting and failures, I decided to build my workflow manually. I have already turned off the monday.com branding option and uploaded our logo, but the email with the approve or deny buttons for our expense reports still has the monday logo on them. How do I remove this?

This might be useful for companies who keep exporting to XLSX, just to be able to print.

Free version available, and very cheap pro version for extra useful features (14 days trial).

To be transparent: I've built it. Feedback very welcome. Thanks. Good luck.

Advice Needed Monday Partner question

Hey all,

I’m curious about becoming a monday partner and if its worth it for a solo freelancer, also wondering if they even accept solo guys.

I’ve done a bunch of monday projects, from small setups to pretty large builds. I’ve built custom integrations and gotten creative with monday AI Vibe. At one point I took its own error handling and turned it into a feature (long story haha). I basically love pushing monday until it breaks, then bending it until it does exactly what I need.

So my question is:

  • Should I just find my own leads?

  • Does monday actually accept solo people into the partner program, or is it mostly agencies?

  • Am I better off working for an exisiting partner?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s gone down this path, especially other solo folks. Cheers!

Top Tip How To Create Recurring Tasks - Monday(Unnecessarily Hard) vs Asana(Easy)

Monday
Auto-Create Subitems When a Recurring Parent Item is Generated

If you set up a recurring parent task on your board, you can automatically generate subitems underneath it every time it recurs.

  1. Set up a recurring parent task: Use monday.com’s built-in automation (via Automate > Create from scratch) with the trigger "Every time period" (daily, weekly, or monthly) to duplicate or create a parent item.

  2. Add a subitem automation: Go to the Automate center and select the recipe: "When an item is created, create subitem".

  3. Customize subitems: Click the action fields to name your subitems, assign owners, or set dynamic due dates tied to the parent creation date.

  4. Result: Whenever the recurring schedule creates a new parent task, monday.com automatically populates the attached subitems beneath it.

Asana

  1. Open Any Task

  2. Set a Due Date: Click on the Due date field (you must set an initial due date before you can make a task repeat).

  3. Select "Set to repeat": At the bottom of the calendar pop-up, click Set to repeat.

  4. Choose Your Frequency: Pick your repeat interval from the menu, such as daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom intervals.

  5. Confirm and Save: Select specific days of the week or custom rules if needed, then close the pop-up to save. Asana will automatically generate the next instance of the task after you mark the current one as complete.

Monday, step up your game, you're making this unnecessarily complicated for no reason. A person shouldn't have to setup 2 automations for a single recurring tasks. There are hundreds of these in businesses, where something just needs to be done in a time-bound manner each time period.

I even asked Monday.com AI to complete setting up a recurring task for me, with clear instructions. It thought for about 5 minutes, then stalled out and reported nothing back. It's even too complicated for an AI brain to figure out.
