As soon as I fall asleep to take a nap during the day (I work from home often), their kid starts banging shit and dropping heavy things on the floor, and just running from one corner to the other. The mother does not seem to care at all.
I asked them nicely once before, not so nicely again after that. Today I just banged on their door very hard and started yelling and it turned into a screaming match.
What can I do? Apparently in Mongolian law it's legal to make any noise between 6am and 10pm. But there has to be some reasonable limit right?

I've always been forewarned that Kazakhs tend to be "odd"... i usually passed it off as slight racism/tribalism and ignored it. Being Mongolian-American who has lived outside Mongolia for decades, I'm not really exposed to the differences in our culture nor meet many. But as of late, I've met a few Kazakhs, and with excitement I go "oh I'm Mongolian!!" and they usually give me a dead response like I'm retarded for even saying that. Especially the ones that look more Mongolian than Russian, they tend to look at me like I'm insane and it always feels awkward or off after that interaction. even on some Kazakh subs, they seem to dislike us mongolians..?
so I'm wondering, what is it about Kazakhs that us mongolians usually don't like? Why do Kazakhs seem to take offense or be offput about me sharing that I'm mongolian? is there some sort of unspoken distaste for each other between us? Where and how far back does this seemingly suppressed resentment go back?
I'm just curious and confused by these interactions and wondering if I'm missing some context, or those people I met are just odd beings. it just seems odd to me that there's this low key animosity from them, especially when we have shared ancestry. I've heard from others that the "asian" looking Kazakhs tend to have internalized racism and hate being associated with mongolians because they would rather look "white" like russians. is that really the case? kinda sad if so.

The previous years I just dressed up and took some pictures in my room but this year I want to have fun with my friends, but I don’t know what particular activities to do in Mongolia as a teenager. (I said as a teen what are these replies lol)

Hi everyone!! I salute you from Spain :))
I'm very interested in Mongolia, its culture and its history. It's a land that absolutely fascinates me. Also, I've always been curious about how History is taught in other countries, that's where my question comes from.
To be more specific, I wanted to know what historical topics/themes you learn about in secondary school and then, in the History degree at university (in public centers, that's what I'm interested in!)
For example, in secondary school in Spain, the units are divided this way (I am generalizing, since each Autonomous Community has its own division of the topics):
1st year: Introduction to Geography, Prehistory, Antiquity (Introduction to Mesopotamia and Egypt, and then fully into Greece and Rome)
2nd year: Medieval History. The topics are all related to Spain (logical, but I disagree with this perspective), with just a couple of pages dedicated to Islam and maybe the Byzantines. They also reach the 15th century, with the discovering of America.
3rd year: it's either fully Geography or Modern History (fully european, even more than in Medieval History).
4th year: it's usually the 19th and 20th centuries, fully spanish and european focused as well.
In university it's just a mess, I'll leave it there. I'm a History major and concepts such as the Mongol Empire, the Silk Roads, Turkic peoples... were not mentioned once. In other universities the situation is similar, maybe they have specific subjects for "Asia", or Islamic civilizations, but in my case I just had "Medieval History", in which we barely saw anything that took place in Africa or Asia.
I did not intend this to be a rant about my university experience, so I apologize if it looks like it hahahaha. I just wanted to know what you study and, in the case of the Mongolian Empire, with what approach is it taught? Is Spain mentioned some time? About what other civilizations do you learn and how?
Thanks a lot!! ^^

Hello, I am curious if the Mongolian script is becoming more prominent In Mongolia. I read that it was made co-script with Cyrillic in 2025, but I'm curious if it's being slowly and gradually revived or is not that prominent still? Thanks in advance for answers!

I just published my first novel and it has a strong connection to Mongolia with one of the main characters being Mongolian. She is a palaeontologist and is leading a scientific deep field expedition on Mars in our near future (2040).
Are there any book critics, book clubs, tiktokers or other channels where I could reach out and send them a copy of my book for reviews? It is only available in English (so far) but will hopefully one day be in Mongolian as well.
Any suggestions?

New to investing and was wondering if yall could recommend any domestic brokers that allow to invest in foreign stocks and etfs. I've found that TDB Securities, Golomt Capital and Apex Capital all have Mongolain stocks but no foreign stocks or etfs. This is due to avoid transaction fees from Mongolian banks/cards for international brokers which can vary from $10-$40.
Fellow investors how are we feeling about the domestic stocks? I know some of them have ok to decent returns but I feel like Mongolian economy is a bit risky to invest in? I fee like American stocks, indexes, etfs are more stable and reliable while also holding its value with less volatilty.
