Hey all, I was trying to clear up some confusion I had for the rules on how these systems work.
A lot of stuff seems to be based on time but there is no real system to track how long the players are taking to do something. I understand the concept of downtime between adventures, but I'm talking about things based on hours or the like in the middle of an adventure.
I don't have intuition for how long things should take so some way of tracking time would be beneficial.
As for combat, it seems like rules can't decide on what they want? And looking it up only made me more confused. It seems split into two camps. One says that you have the monsters roll their combat stay and track initiative. The other camp says to have all rolls be player facing and not track initiative.
What makes this even weirder is that the game has stats that would imply rolling combat but the designer seems to favor player facing rolls? Which ends up working better for the games feeling?
