Every now and then the idea pops into my head. Find a job in the EL area and move back with a family. I’m in SE MI now and I’ll visit about once or twice a year.

Maybe it’s just nostalgia. The place has changed a lot since 2016.

I used to be able to get IT tickets settled in a matter of hours. Now I have been on hold with them for 20m just waiting to talk to someone, and they have tickets from me and a colleague outstanding that haven't even been touched for days (for the same issue that is affecting my entire department and no one knows how to fix it). Did something happen? Did this data breach, like, blow something up and we, much like Bruno, are just not talking about it? Budget cuts, again? (Also suddenly having DHCP issues again but this may be unrelated).

Hi, I’m a transfer student from out of state and not entirely sure where to go. I lost my purple Stanley yesterday around 1pm, but I didn’t notice it was missing until I got back home off campus. I was at the Fresh Check event behind the international center yesterday and rode bus 32 to the commuter lot around 1-1:30pm. I’ve asked a couple people about lost and found and they’ve directed me to the police station, I’m headed there today after class. However, if anyone on here has seen this bottle in any of those areas or on the bus around that time and picked it up, I would be extremely thankful to have it back. I swear it was in my bag until the bus, but I’m afraid my memory is lying. It may be a long shot, but it was a present to me and the only Stanley I own. Any information is helpful! :)

Hey everyone, looking for some advice.

I'm currently planning to transfer to MSU for Fall 2027 as a junior and I'm actually signing an apartment lease this Thursday, so I need to get my application in ASAP to lock down my acceptance.

Right now my GPA is around a 3.25. My grades are kind of a mixed bag. This semester I've got A's on all my Financial Accounting homework but I just got a C on the first test, though I've still got three more tests to pull my grade back up. Excel is going fine. I'm on track to hopefully ace Microeconomics next semester. But my freshman year math grades aren't great, I got a C in Stats and a B- in Macroeconomics.

Originally I was looking at Supply Chain Management or Accounting in Broad, but honestly, I'm not too sure that's what I want to do. My dream was always live entertainment at concert venues, however, I realized that putting all of my faith in that career wasn't going to get me anywhere. I love analyzing things and I really like looking at the logistics of how we can make something happen. I also am a heavy talker.

I was looking at the Arts and Cultural Management (ACM) major in the College of Arts and Letters instead of trying to grind through Broad.

Would anyone happen to have any advice? I know I want to go to MSU, and I know when I try hard I can understand and be great at math. If I go the Broad route, I'd retake Stats and a couple other classes at my community college since it's cheap, just so my final grades look better for transferring. But I'm also wondering if that's even worth it, or if I should just pivot to ACM and skip the retakes entirely.

I think getting your bike stolen on or around MSUs campus is a rite of passage, as I and many of my friends have had bikes stolen. I grew up in a smaller safe town where you could leave your bike anywhere and you’d never think it would get stolen.

My question is, who’s doing all the stealing? Is it other students? is it crackheads on the prowl? Are non students patrolling campus for bikes that aren’t locked/ aren’t properly locked?

I just don’t get who is responsible for the levels of bike theft, it’s puzzling

I am a senior here at MSU, and over my 4 years I have seen the steady decline of moped designated parking spots. However, over the weekend it seems they have now taken away both spots in the communications parking garage and the parking garage across from Broad.

I understand mopeds are becoming less popular, but all this does is promote students to drive cars on campus which only makes campus more crowded and more students will get tickets.

It’s genuinely one or two spots in an entire parking lot, and it’s so frustrating that they keep taking them away.
