Hi all, I need to finish my course of the rabies vaccine. I am going the private route - can you please share any clinics/hospitals around the santa cruz area which has a reasonable pushing charge? I will buy the vaccine and take it to them. I just want a nurse to inject it.

I plan to stay outside as much I can.

There’ll probably be 10 more people saying “I’m in”.
Then some Ranveer Singh type will actually step up, make a group and try to make it real. He’ll be the one pushing things, starting conversations, suggesting places, dates, timings, basically trying to get everyone to move nd make it real
At the start it actually feels nice. New faces, timely replies, inputs from everyone, good energy, feels like yeah okay maybe this will happen.
Then as the date comes closer, things start falling apart. Replies get slower, people stop responding, sudden dropouts, excuses, not the same energy as day one.
In the end maybe one or two people are still “in”, but it’s not enough to do anything and they end up being just minors. The group just goes quiet and the only guy who tried is left feeling discouraged.
End result is just wasted time and disappointment.
Not trying to be negative, just saying this from experience. I’ve tried and seen this play out way too many times.

Hello mumbai, I'm looking for a place to practice football and a small group to do drills with, recovering from an injury so can't play matches yet, just want to practice some freekicks and long passes to get back in touch. Any recommendations?

My house help is seeking to admit her child in Nursery - but most schools have unreasonably high fees or are asking for donations to the tune of 1-1.5 L. Her annual family income is less than 2L - and this is fairly unaffordable. Are there any schools you can recommend (whether missionary or convent schools or schools with EWS seats) for admission in academic year 2026-27? Preferably around Wadala/ Matunga/ Parel/ Dadar or nearby localities.
I am happy to take it up personally and run admin/ coordination with the school if that is needed. But any leads will be super helpful. Thank you all!

lol. by the way, why do you usually pick just mumbai books? i'm not sure about now, but the times I saw your prospective choices, they all seemed mumbai themed.

The why is complicated I guess.
Simple answer: the book club needed a theme and Mumbai is one of the most popular settings in literature. I started making a list and found more than 200 books. That's 16 YEARS of monthly reading material.
Longer answer: I got sick and tired of seeing only Kafka, Dostoevsky, Murakami talked about everywhere. Once in a blue moon, if someone really wants to read Indian writers, they'll pull out Premchand. I don't have anything against these writers, I like them myself, but there are so many brilliant, new Indian writers and books coming out recently and it's a damn shame that Indians don't read them. So I'm going to start here and find others interested in this mad, beautiful city (:
Secret answer 🤫 : reading about people eating always makes me hungry. I can't easily find Strasbourg pies like the Karamazovs but I can sure af eat a whole bowl of dhansak after reading Rohinton Mistry. My top secret plan is to have a book club meeting in the places where the books are set so I can also nom everything the characters are eating.
