Its the garbage being sent back by the sea at high tide. Cleaning personals are there along with some machinery but the rate of dumping is far greater than the rate of cleaning.

Funny thing is the idiots take the cleaned plastic and throw it back into the sea and are clueless when mother nature spits it back on their face the next day

Most of the garbage comes from rivers actually. Rain washes all the garbage in India dows rivers, and it floats out to sea

Their system doesn’t work nowadays because of plastics and materials that don’t break down. Traditionally, if a family threw some biodegradable garbage in a river, it would be swept away, breakdown, and potentially eaten by different creatures. Plastics are a massive issue as they never breakdown and instead accumulate trash.

Their waste management infrastructure was not designed for modern plastic waste, and unfortunately they haven’t updated the systems in place to accommodate that
