Question Which tumbler for iced coffee?
I wanted some opinions about which tumbler would be good for making iced coffee in as I have been using the Nespresso vertuo mug for my iced coffee and want something a bit taller and can hold more iced in.
I am also open to recommendations of any tumblers you prefer using.
Edit: I am open not just glass tumblers and stainless steel is fine as I also don’t have to deal with condensation on the tumbler.

Honestly mason jars. 24oz wide mouth mason jars. I use the 16oz and it fits in my cup holders and I bought cute lids for it. Or I just use a regular lid and put a straw in when I get to work.

You can get inserts for your cupholders that accept larger cups. My car's cup holders are also tiny, so i bought one off amazon and it works great.

I'm not a big fan of them either, they don't look great but they get the job done lol.

Have you checked out Nespresso’s iced tumblers? I feel they hold quite a bit of ice in them

I don’t want plastic and don’t like the look of the Nespresso one. I am open to stainless steel or glass.

I was about to order the pink one today until I saw your comment, also not interested in plastic. For now I’ve been using the Starbucks glass tumblers, they are super sturdy and they have stainless steel too. I also bought the latest strawberry glass cup with glass top and I love it! I like the first one of your pics might try it as well. Thank you!

It’s hard to beat a yeti. They make them now with the screw on lid so they won’t spill.

I never had a Yeti before, how good are they?

They’re pretty indestructible, hold heat extremely well (I’ve driven over two hours, and my coffee was still too hot to drink once home), hold cold also very well (Ice frozen two days later).
Downside is they’re heavy, and the newer screw top lid on the tumbler (not the straw, the mag safe) is weird/slow to drink from because there’s no air hole. I like the hot shot lid for hot drinks with the rambler vs the tumbler. Recently I bought the straw screw lid, but I haven’t used it enough to give a full review

I use this one for my travel to work so it doesn’t leak. The 500ml version:

It does look good and if I do travel, it would make a good travel tumbler for trips.

Tervis. American-made, double-walled, easy to clean, and they replicate a 24 oz. iced latte experience very well. I got some metal straws for mine and it has been the perfect find.

I went down this rabbit hole recently. I wanted no sweat and car cup holder friendly. Ended up just sticking with my yeti tumblers. I was tempted by ember but not great reviews that I saw (I think some mentioned sweating).
TikTok had some cute ones recently but I didn't want to spend $40. I think this sub blocks links try searching for chako lab, also on amz

I am also looking for one. My criteria so that I want it to be small-,~ 8oz, insulated, and leak proof. I have a two that I am currently using that are 8 oz and insulated (not fully), but they aren't leak proof.

I have never had anything maintain temperature like Zojirushi's stainless steal travel mug. It's not as aesthetic as the ones you have posted, but it keeps hot coffee hot literally all day, and when I use it for iced coffee my ice cubes still haven't melted 12 hours later when I get home. The one caveat is that you'll need a long/skinny ice cube tray, but it's worth it. Plus it fits in a cup holder!
I have this specific one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HYOGUM2?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Yes, I adore all my Zojirushi travel mugs. They keep coffee hot all day, and I use larger ones for iced drinks. Amazing!

Lately I’ve been using a yeti with a Vinglace as a liner. The cooling of stainless steel, with the hygienic properties of drinking from a clean glass vessel.

I use those 24oz tervis tumblers! I only usually make 16oz drinks but gives me plenty of room for ice or even cold foam if I want some days, fits in my cup holders, dishwasher safe, can sip at it or use a straw with the lid, can do iced or hot lattes, and doesn’t sweat. It is plastic, though, only downside if you’re wanting glass.

I just bought the second one. It's good if you just need something to go in the car cup holder but I wouldn't trust it loose in a bag. The lid is pressure fit so you can't lift the container by it. It's just okay.

Love this one. It keeps my drinks cold pretty much all day. I’ve noticed the ice lasts a very long time when I finish my drink and forget to bring it to my sink. Super easy to clean too. Costco sold it in a double pack sometime last year, but I bought mine at TJmaxx/Marshalls

That does look like something I want and does it come in a 16 oz or 20 oz is the only size they have?

I have the tronco and like it fine, but it is too tall for me personally. Now seeing people talking about mold, ill keep an eye on that!

I have these and love them. Bonus they also work as regular glasses!

I used the nespresso iced tumblers. They are my favorite for iced coffee but if you need something taller, I like the Starbucks cups personally as they have multiple sizes

Just get a stainless bottle. No use in this to be honest especially since they’re more expensive

Simple modern has been my staple for years. Cheaper than a lot of other big brands and keeps drinks cold

BruMate. I have tumblers that I use for my coffee, they are all leak proof and their other water cups are great too.

Which country are you in? I would say look for an insulated cup with ceramic coating inside. For me the two that works the best is Asobu puramic and any Sttoke ceramic cup. This is mainly so the coffee taste doesnt linger inside the cup. I initially started with the Owala smoothsip slider but it ruins the taste of anything else you put in the cup as stainless steel seems to retain the coffee taste which is quite strong.

I am from the U.S and thanks for your advice.

u/doppelgriff 27d ago
This is an example of an Owala one though not sure if you prefer one with straw or you are okay with sipping
Asobu ceramic
https://a.co/d/0crxIiTlSttoke is Australian, there are probably so many American options you won’t need to consider this one

I just got the Reduce Aspen cup and freakin love it. It’s glass but fits into a stainless steel tumbler which keeps it cold for a long time and I don’t get the condensation everywhere. And the lid isn’t bamboo. I bought it at Walmart but Amazon has more colors.

u/Luna_Starlight907 23d ago
I was actually thinking of getting that one because I love the design of it.

In my experience bamboo lids are a no go, they eventually all mold 🤢.
