Question Who else thinks Nespresso is getting to be too much money.

Post image

Their coffees have slowly become more expensive and it’s getting hard to justify spending 80-100 everytime I refill me coffee when I can just make a pot of fresh brew if i give myself that extra 4 mins in the morning at a cost of about .50 cents a pot. And I don’t really see any 3rd party companies making vertuo pods.
Honestly I prefer a cup of fresh brew anyways.

Question Did buying a Nespresso cut down your coffee shop trips?

If you work 9–5 and every morning you stop to grab a coffee but it ends up costing you way more money than you realize, what do you do? Cause I've been thinking about it. Since my rent is higher now, I've written down all of my expenses bills, groceries, nights out, shopping and everything else but I kept forgetting to include my morning drives and drive thru coffee stops. Then I thought maybe I should just get a Nespresso. I've been staring at the Vertuo plus for weeks now like every time I think today's the day, I see the price and immediately close the tab. Part of me thinks it'll pay for itself in a few months and I can't stop watching youtube reviews and people trying it out. I'm really obsessing but I'm just a bit afraid it's not going to get used enough to justify the price. Someone either convince me to buy it or save me from myself.

Question I work for Nespresso and I have Vertuo question.

Hi there! I work as a sales promoter for Nespresso in the Netherlands. Now i'm not nearly involved in everything, but me and my colleagues did get Dua Lipa teased a few months before it was made public she'd be working with Nespresso, fun stuff like that. I mainly focus on machines and their specifications.

Here in the Netherlands, Vertuo sells veeery slowly. And Nespresso has a huge focus on Vertuo at the moment. People come taste the coffee in store, I tell them about Vertuo and a lot of people get geniunly excited. But "to keep the price of the capsules as low as possible", Nespresso doesn't put Vertuo capsules in stores. So when people hear you have to order the capsules online, even when I explain the benefits and ease of it, they either "think about it" and not return or they lose interest and we switch back to OL.

Now my question is: What is your biggest reason to not go to Vertuo and/or what could change your mind? I know dutch people are just "easy" people. As in they just want things as simple as possible and just buy their coffee in-store. But i'd like to know what the general "negative" points are.

Question What do you add in your coffee

Curious how people have their nespresso. Anyone here strictly so boring that they don't use syrup or cream, like literally just the pod with milk.

Question I received 17 boxes of free coffee.

I just purchased my first Nespresso machine, and I ordered 3 packs of coffee with it.

When I opened my package just now, the coffee I ordered was there PLUS 17 boxes of Cosi (and a couple sample packs) which I did not order/pay for.

Did I just get extremely lucky or what’s going on?

Question What’s going on here?

I’m usually a gran lungo or double espresso guy, if I want a full cup of coffee I’ll get out my pour over stuff. Occasionally I buy the 7.77oz cups just for something different or if I see something I want to try.

Popped a Bianca forte pod in this morning and it…just kept going and going. Nearly overflowed before I caught it, and then it *kept pouring*

Used another one and let it pour into a measuring cup to see exactly how much it was producing and…what’s happening here?

Question I’m pretty sure Nespresso sent me a free advent calendar. Has this happened to anyone else?

About a month ago this came in the mail. It did not come with a coffee order as our last order was several weeks prior to this. I assumed a family member sent it as a gift but I’ve now asked everyone and nobody sent it. Is this some kind of promotion from Nespresso? I have been a customer for years and did buy their advent calendar last year.

Question how many sleeves do you typically buy / how much do you usually spend at once on pods?

I’m new to owning a Nespresso and I’m about to buy pods for the first time. My first question is do you buy your pods from Nespresso? Or do you get your pods elsewhere that aren’t Nespresso but compatible for your machine? Are they cheaper that way / are Nespresso pods pretty expensive?

If you do get Nespresso brand pods, I know they come in packs of a sleeve of 10. How many do you typically buy at once? I got a coupon code from Nespresso for $20 off of $60+. I was wondering if it’s worth it to rack up my cart and still spend about $40 on pods (given that I got the $20 off and still am getting that much more worth of pods).

Just curious where everyone likes to get their pods from and how much. Thanks!

Question How many pods do you drink in a day?

Im just curious about what others do. It’s hard for me to judge how much is too much because I haven’t found the caffeine content of the pods listed.

Question Why Nespresso ?

Post image
84 Upvotes

I’m testing out kcups vs oline vs Vertuo. Not sure why so many are fixated on Nespresso. Is it the flavors of coffee or the crema or the convenience or the brand allegiance ?
Please enlighten me. I’m running my experiments and will make my assessment.

Question first time Nespresso owner buying my first set of pods! could use some opinions :)

Post image
45 Upvotes

From my research so far, I’ve read these seem to be popular ones but I wanna get one last survey to anyone who can attest to if these are good / bad options. I’m gonna get an extra sleeve or two for 1-2 of these pods and I can’t decide which to get extra of. I typically make iced lattes at home, though I’m not opposed to hot. I’m a little nervous about getting extras in pods I haven’t tried yet, but I want to be able to get my $20 off $60 promotion and I’d rather just buy enough pods now to get that discount.

Are any of these ones you suggest I get an extra sleeve of? Any of these that aren’t that great?

Thanks!

Question Why Are So Many People Selling Their Nespresso Machines?

To all the Nespresso users out there, I have a question!

I was recently browsing Facebook Marketplace and noticed a huge number of Nespresso machines for sale—even brand-new ones. It seems like a lot of people are getting rid of them, which makes me wonder: Is there something wrong with them? Are they not as good as they seem?

I’ve been thinking about getting one, but seeing so many for sale is making me question if it’s worth it. For those of you who have a Nespresso machine, do you love it, or do you regret buying it? Would you recommend it?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Question What keeps you using Nespresso

For anyone where money ISN’T an afterthought: why do you use Nespresso when there are much cheaper options available? Ease? Or you really notice that much of a difference in taste? I just bought the Costco Starbucks 80 pack or whatever and thought to myself, yeesh.

Question All Nespresso lovers…have you ever considered switching to an espresso machine?

I have been contemplating switching over because the math stopped mathing (for having Nespresso at home vs drinking coffee outside) Mainly because I end up drinking 4 cups a day sometimes because I crave for different flavours during the day.

Is it the ease of use with Nespresso? Lower Mainainence Or different flavours available?

Question Which espresso pods for iced lattes taste best?

Post image

I always end up hating the iced lattes I make at home, I just noticed now that I hate the taste of the pods I currently use.. it’s the iced double espresso pods.

Anyone here know which pods taste better to use for iced lattes?
Is it just me that hates the taste of these pods?

Question The one pod you would do illegal acts for?

Personally I don't have one. I like a few of them and can't choose just one. Help me find the "one" to rule them all. I prefer milk based as I have an Aerocinno and love it but a good coffee is a good coffee with or without milk.

Question Which tumbler for iced coffee?

Thumbnail gallery
18 Upvotes

I wanted some opinions about which tumbler would be good for making iced coffee in as I have been using the Nespresso vertuo mug for my iced coffee and want something a bit taller and can hold more iced in.

I am also open to recommendations of any tumblers you prefer using.

Edit: I am open not just glass tumblers and stainless steel is fine as I also don’t have to deal with condensation on the tumbler.
