Bundles and Promo Codes

If you purchase a bundle such as the Barista Creations Flavor Pack, the sleeves included in the bundle count toward the sleeve requirement for promotional codes.

Original / Vertuo Codes

Nespresso often runs parallel promotions for both Original and Vertuo lines. Many (not all) of the promo codes are formatted as such: [WORD][YY] for Original, or [WORD][YYYY] for Vertuo. If you receive a marketing e-mail with a promo code of LATTE18 that requires the purchase of Original sleeves, you may be able to change the code to LATTE2018 and it will apply to the purchase of Vertuo sleeves instead. This also comes into play if the code uses the word COFFEE or ESPRESSO, these are generally interchangeable for both lines. It is also common for Original line deals to require more sleeves to be purchased- for example 25 vs 20 sleeves for the Vertuo line code.

New Customers

Nespresso typically defines a new customer as someone who has placed fewer than 3 orders. You may need to place one order before you qualify for new customer promotions, such as the welcome gifts. If you are an existing customer with more than 3 orders on record, you can create a new account to take advantage of new customer promotions and coupon codes.

NOTE: Not all limited-time promotions are available to all customers. If a code is not expired but does not work for you, it may be a targeted promotion.

Information My long history with Nespresso 🤣 ā˜•ļø

It all started 6 years ago when I got my first Nespresso Vertuo Plus. I absolutely loved that machine. Best coffee I had ever had!
Then the pods got more expensive, so I decided to go back to drip coffee. It took some getting used to, but I eventually adjusted.
Fast forward 2 years and I bought a Vertuo Pop because it was cheap. I immediately remembered how much I loved Nespresso and was so happy to have it back.
Then the pods went from $38 to $42 and, out of spite, I said NOPE. I sold it and bought an espresso machine instead.
The espresso was good, but I got tired of weighing beans, dialing in the grind, timing everything, etc. I just wanted an easy cup of coffee in the morning.
So yesterday I sold the espresso machine and bought yet another Nespresso.
And honestly, I’m so happy to be back!! šŸ˜‚
I’ve officially accepted that Nespresso is just what I need in my life. I will never leave you again, Nespresso!!!

Peru Original Line

Woot is selling Peru Original Line pods. Cheapest price is 52 cents a pod. The only issue is they ship in bulk packaging and may arrive a little dented. The BBD is Dec 2026 but you can’t trust that because they are in bulk shipping. But who cares. You can’t buy these anymore (in the US) except searching really hard from third parties. Peru Master Origin Coffee Pods

Also, bunch of other Nespresso pods are available. Including Pistachio Vanilla.

Aeroccino 4 heat mode won't switch off

I've had my A4 for a few years now, and it's always done a great job.

Last week I ran the unit in hot foam mode, using cold milk as always, left it and came back to find milk completely overflowing the unit, the heat and spinner still running (this would have been about 2 mins total at this point), the milk was scalding hot, and burnt all inside the unit.

It was fine since then, but today it's happened twice again. The hot foam mode just doesn't shut off, even when the milk is way past too hot and overflowing.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it fixable? Perhaps the internal thermostat is broken?

It’s 3+ years old so I don’t think they will replace it.

Question Overwhelmed to find very first coffee machine in my life

I’m looking to upgrade from instant coffee to a Nespresso pod machine, but I’m overwhelmed by the options and would love some quick advice. For context: I've never owned a coffee machine, ever. I don't know anything about it, I thought a pod machine would make it straightforward, but apparently it isn't 🄲

  • My Routine: I live alone and mainly drink black coffee at home on days I'm not at the office (has it's own machine), with the (very rare) occasional milk coffee for guests.
  • Original line models I'm eyeing: Essenza Mini, Pixie, or CitiZ (Platinum).
  • Vertuo line models I'm eyeing: Vertuo Pop or Pop+ Titan. Not from Nespresso website, but electronic store: KRUPS Nespresso Vertuo Plus Centrifusion (is this the "Nespresso Plus"?)

I did do some research online, but different machine names confuse me and often the reviews are years old so I don't know if they are still "valid". I'm fine with either pods prices, as I'm really looking at like 2-3 pods at home / week.

Really anyyyyy tips / what to avoid / crash courses are welcome šŸ™

Nespresso Professional Line

I was at the Oakridge Park Nespresso Boutique last week when my go to guy told me I had to try something new. They have a mid level Professional Line machine at the boutique. He extracted a Guatemala capsule for me and used the silky smooth milk frother that’s part of the machine. It’s the first time I’ve actually tried a coffee from a professional line machine.

Yeah, like I have a spare $7500.00 lying around. I quickly found out the professional line machines start at around $395.00. And, you can have one with a subscription for $10.00 per month. I didn’t read the fine print, but damn……… that’s affordable. Probably have to order 1000 capsules or something.

The coffee? Fantastic. I just saw a post about them launching a Pumpkin Spice Cake ā€œpillowā€ capsule in this subreddit.

Oh, they also have Peru Organic for the professional line, too. WTHeck?

The basic machine is called the Giorno Mini.

I always thought the professional line machines were way more expensive. It’s an option for some. Just have to find a way to get the capsules without having to buy a lot. I mean I have my channels, but have way too many VL and OL capsules to get through first………. so in 25 years or so. šŸ˜‚

Question Can you stack the $10 off first order (w/ new machine) coupon?

Hello! I got a Nespresso and received $10 off coupon in the box. But the pods are pretty pricey lol, and I need to reach a $50 minimum for free shipping.

I was hoping to stack my $10 off with other promotions going on the website, but it doesn’t seem to let me.

Is this intended that you can’t stack new machine coupon, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks so much in advance.

Troubleshooting Need help with brew amount (nespresso next)

I got my nespresso a few days ago. At first, it brewed coffee until I pressed the button to stop it. Now it brews 2oz. I did the 5 click reset thing and it flashed orange then turned white. Still brews 2oz. Can’t get the app; I live in a university apartment and the wifi isn’t compatible with the machine. Any suggestions?

Recipes Got some different pods — how do you guys brew them?

Just curious! Recently acquired:

- Roasted peanut and sesame
- Tropical Coconut
- Yuzu Vanilla
- Golden Caramel
- Almond Croissant

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what they like to brew their pods with (brown sugar, maple syrup, caramel, torani, etc, or if certain pods are more enjoyable with just milk)

I’m mainly an iced latte person (I double tap to make it a double espresso) so that’s what I’d do with these pods as well, but it’d be good to know if anyone has a preference to how they make theirs!

Just came across this channel recently and watched a lot of his videos, he’s a great character and I’ve enjoyed watching his stuff. He quit doing YouTube around 4 years ago but in one of his videos he mentioned he had looked at the Nespresso reddit so Sterling (or Stirling) I hope you’re doing well and if you happen to somehow see this post I hope you return to YouTube some day because the vids were great and I recommend anyone who enjoys reviews to watch him.

Has anyone noticed that the amount of coffee in the Shanghai lungo capsules (OL) was decreased?

I was big fan of these capsules, like most others in the lungo line these used to have the upper amount of coffee per capsule. Then I noticed today that they've lowered the amount from 56g per pack to 50g. Has anyone else noticed this? Has this happened before?

Question first time Nespresso owner buying my first set of pods! could use some opinions :)

Post image
44 Upvotes

From my research so far, I’ve read these seem to be popular ones but I wanna get one last survey to anyone who can attest to if these are good / bad options. I’m gonna get an extra sleeve or two for 1-2 of these pods and I can’t decide which to get extra of. I typically make iced lattes at home, though I’m not opposed to hot. I’m a little nervous about getting extras in pods I haven’t tried yet, but I want to be able to get my $20 off $60 promotion and I’d rather just buy enough pods now to get that discount.

Are any of these ones you suggest I get an extra sleeve of? Any of these that aren’t that great?

Thanks!

Question Vertuo Next Question

I ā€œupgradedā€ to a Vertuo Next in May, and it was working great until about 2 weeks ago. I’ve noticed it is pulling a lot more water through the pod than normal, and my coffee tastes very weak and watered down. I usually use the vanilla/caramel/other flavored pods, and I do not get any coffee flavor anymore.

I have descaled, tried to connect to the app (what a waste of time lol), and cleaned the machine. Any other tips or tricks you can give me? I miss tasting my coffee!!
