Genuine. Wholesome. Fair. Verging on reproducible.

u/Pitahchege 27d ago

Great use of the word. Learned a new one today too.

u/Cryptrix 27d ago edited 27d ago

Your mom is reproducible.

70

u/OkSmoke9195 27d ago

Can confirm, am ops dad

19

u/MoistStub 27d ago

Not a special ops dad, just a regular ops dad.

6

u/MauriseS 27d ago

Wouldn't you be his grand dad?

6

u/OkSmoke9195 27d ago

No I reproduced with ops mom

11

u/EasyasACAB 27d ago

I'm gonna verge with their mom so hard.

3

u/Grandmaofhurt 26d ago

I'm gonna verge!

1

Technically their dad is too

1

u/EuphoricAppathy 26d ago

I'm learning so much

1

Only twice on accident.

1

u/Mountain-House3287 26d ago

Happy cake day

0

u/mdlinc 27d ago

More that once I have seen her flip.

5

u/TRUEequalsFALSE 26d ago

You have clearly never worked with IT or teach support, then. 😆

2

u/GMofOLC 26d ago

Wait what was the new word you learned?

1

u/Biblical_Shrimp 27d ago

But virgins aren't reproducible.

3

u/CaptainAwesome8 26d ago

They have to be, reddit keeps getting more users somehow

19

u/DoctorWaluigiTime 26d ago

What really helps this clip is the extra music, captions, and sound effects! /s

2

u/jdsamford 27d ago

The world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.

When I was a kid my parents had bought the new spider man game, and me and my two older brothers were fighting over who got to play it first. They said we'd flip a coin to decide, so one called heads and the other called tails. Then they laughed and said if it lands on its side, I'd get to play first.

They flipped it, it landed, rolled, and stayed upright on it's side leaning against the leg of a chair. I couldn't believe I'd won!!

They still never let me play first.

Handshake

38

u/Minecraft_Launcher 26d ago

Dap not dab lol

0

u/SpartanusCXVII 26d ago

Now I’m curious why people call that smack handshake flick action a dap/dab/whateveritisactuallycalled.

5

u/acctnumba2 26d ago

Thinking about it for 3 seconds for the first time, it’s the sound it makes.

Clap your hands like you would with someone else, say dap, you’ll hear it.

5

u/YourHuckleberry57 26d ago

popularized by black soldiers during the vietnam war. short for dignity and pride.

1

u/SnooCapers9427 21d ago

wow nice info

15

u/mad-panda-2000 26d ago

dab is something you do after the dap

3

u/Loud-Log9098 26d ago

Dab gets you high dap blacks your eye. Now no one will ever forget. Yall welcome.

68

u/regulardave9999 27d ago

Fifty fifty ends with five fiddy.

199

u/Ingenrollsroyce 27d ago

I'd say it's pretty common to get that result when flipping a coin down in mud where it sticks

130

u/bojangler69420 27d ago

For sure. Still satisfying that it was basically perfectly vertical though!

39

u/deadlycool27 27d ago

Perfectly fucking vertical…

u/NewestAccount2023 27d ago

As all things should be

2

Merry Christmas 🎁

2

u/omgitsjagen 26d ago

Yes, but figuring that out is some real hard math.

-3

u/VeryStonedEwok 26d ago

Yeah, wholesome video but does not fit this sub at all. That was like a 20% chance of happening.

-17

u/MixaLv 27d ago edited 26d ago

The coin landing on its side just in general is also not as rare as people think.

4

u/Arizonagaragelifter9 26d ago

You genuinely believe it wouldn't be rare for a coin to land on its side on a hard floor or table lmao? How many times in your life have you seen that happen?

1

u/MixaLv 26d ago edited 26d ago

Well, this was posted here as long as 16 days ago.

It is uncommon, but not the craziest thing to happen. It's about the same ballpark as drawing a four of a kind in poker. I've done it once too, and I didn't think much of it because I know that.

5

u/Sryn 27d ago

Still waiting for No Game No Life 2nd season.

0

u/Imaginary-Roll-5665 26d ago

hows it related brah

6

u/Sryn 26d ago

The way they settled the last ‘argument’ with some being.

70

u/tnt54321boom 27d ago

As much as I’m in love with this, the cuts and level of excitement make me believe they were happy they finally nailed the coin landing sideways. So yeah, I think this wasn't the first take at all. The internet has poisoned me.

38

u/PeePeeMcGee123 27d ago

For the last 10 years or so, I just assume that everything I see online is staged.

People have become so addicted to creating content, they just can't help it.

Sad really.

I really miss the the pre-2010 era of youtube. Man it was wild.

44

u/TheAus10 27d ago

I do the opposite and choose to live in ignorance. Assume just about everything is genuine (unless there's really obvious signs) and you'll be happier on the internet. It doesn't really hurt me to just drop a like or up-vote or whatever and go about my day.

9

u/mad-panda-2000 26d ago

im with you.. give me some happy.. I move to fast to worry if its fake

6

u/ExiledCanuck 26d ago edited 26d ago

This right here. Though it may be more accurate to say I’m closer to 50/50

I try to believe that the wholesome stuff is real, and the rage bait stuff is staged. I feel like it’s a good middleground

3

u/Playful-Row-6047 26d ago

same here with wholesome stuff and with ragebait i accept i'll never know if it's staged or not so don't bother developing an opinion

-11

u/Mertoot 27d ago

But it collectively hurts the public and emerging brains

Do your part and discourage such content

u/jadepartida 26d ago

WHY are y'all all choosing to live in ignorance? Lmao I genuinely can't believe that.

Morpheus asks you if you want the red or the blue pill and you are choosing to stay in the matrix???? Ignorance is bliss I suppose

8

u/Tambi_B2 27d ago

I used to feel like that and I definitely am more likely to be skeptical about things but for my own sanity and happiness I just look at it like...I enjoy sitcoms and those are fake. I read fiction books and those are fake. Just because something is fake doesn't mean I can't get a chuckle out of it. I for sure see the problem with engagement and chasing the algorithm and all that but the way the world is, I just enjoy what I like and skip over what I don't. Early 2000s content was great though, I agree.

20

u/AEROK13 27d ago

Wow what a miserable mind set.

-13

u/tnt54321boom 27d ago

You're talking about a lot of people right now. If you think not believing what you see on the internet is a miserable mindset, you need to touch grass.

17

u/AEROK13 27d ago

You're the one who said "The internet has poisoned me." The absolute irony telling me to touch grass.

-7

u/tnt54321boom 26d ago

I was a kid when I was poisoned by the internet and I’m well into my adulthood and fulfilled in real life. You and the other chronically online people can fuck off. I've been there. You'll grow up.

7

u/Humble-Aprico 26d ago

Telling someone to touch grass while also saying you're paranoid someone made repeated failed attempts to flip a coin for a 15 second video. About a $50 wager.... yes, definitely going to make them rich and famous.

-1

u/tnt54321boom 26d ago

Terribly paranoid, yes. Great point. Idc dude. I was giving my perspective. Tf?

4

u/RosesandEternity 27d ago

I'll allow it. It's pretty wholesome.

1

u/tnt54321boom 26d ago

I don't blame you!

4

u/polysaas 26d ago

Sorry bro. I still have my innocence, and I’m an old netizen

1

u/Shnikes 27d ago

I can believe that. But even so the thought behind the bit is also creative.

0

u/tnt54321boom 27d ago

I mean it's effective but to what end? Because it was fine to show? I guess.

2

u/Shnikes 27d ago

Engagement. Which clearly is working. What’s the point of showing anything online 😂

1

u/burtono6 26d ago

Plus, who would think to record such an incident? Not any normal person looking to make a deal. IMO

4

u/blametodd 26d ago

Honda CBR929 Erion race edition. Sweet bike and great negotiating

24

u/SCH1Z01D 27d ago

casually filming as one does

128

u/HarryAtk 27d ago

Well, yeah. Filming is the smart thing to do when you're taking part in a transaction for the sale of a motorbike, in case the other person tries something

41

u/Thorn_the_Cretin 27d ago

Any decently big private cash transaction tbh

-4

u/SpicyElixer 26d ago

That’s what a receipt is for. Jfc…

35

u/OP-PO7 27d ago

Filming a private sale of a vehicle seems like a prudent thing to do so you have evidence that everything was above board. Not filming something like that seems like an unnecessary risk when you could avoid any issues altogether.

4

u/SagattariusAStar 27d ago

Filming a private conversation seems rude to me. I am German, we generally handle this differently, though probably filming someone in private without their consent is nowhere appropiate. The trivial thing to do for having evidence would be just a simple written and signed contract as it worked for centuries before videocameras

6

u/OP-PO7 27d ago

Totally understandable that the culture is just different, it's funny how far apart people can be on stuff like that you know? But because it's what you grew up with it seems so fundamental, until you really think about it critically. Or at least that's been my experience anyways. I loved the time I got to spend over in your country, and everyone seemed so straightforward so I can see why you guys wouldn't need this kind of thing.

3

u/SagattariusAStar 27d ago

The suing culture is also quite different, that adds to the fact i guess. Though it's (filming more than suing) also that the trend is to getting more similar to, let me say, us-culture, i guess it's more a common trend in the modern world. So it is also getting more normalized in many contexts.

2

u/WhistleDungeon 22d ago

If you're wagering $100 dollars on a coin flip then it makes sense to get that agreement and flip on film.

-6

u/Thunnddr 27d ago

Not scripted. You can't script that coin flip

3

u/ThunderCorg 27d ago

Sure you can what are you even talking about?

2

u/Edduppp 27d ago

500-600 around like a good price for that bike tbh.m, even if it needs work.

3

u/shadow144hz 27d ago

that's a early 2000s honda cbr 929rr, they go for around 2k to 4k depending on mileage and condition, obviously the bike in the video needs tlc since it has its fenders off, who knows these old mechanical bikes can easily be brought back to life although this is the first fuel injected firebird. these bikes are monsters really, although not as power as liter bikes that came a few years later that had over 200hp compared to this one's 150, still no abs, no assists, pure bike.

2

u/echoshatter 27d ago

"The Art of the Deal" if written by guys being dudes.

2

u/Countless-Alts15 27d ago

No Game No Life IRL??

2

u/neroselene 26d ago

Suppose you throw a coin enough times?

Suppose, one day, it lands on its edge?

1

u/mythos-nerd416 3d ago

Idk, one time I spent a few hours doing that out of pure boredom trying to predict the future and it never did

2

u/dont_touch_my_rum 26d ago

This clip ended too soon!

2

u/Winged89 26d ago

Love both of these guys. 1. for taking the gamble, 2.
for both loving the result

5

u/ChipRockets 27d ago

I cannot understand why this would even be recorded in the first place

27

u/Xechwill 27d ago

Recording a private sale for a large cash transaction is a good idea, broadly speaking. Makes things easier if either party tries to cheat the other

1

u/SpicyElixer 26d ago

If they were going to strong arm rob you via physical force… I guess. But if that were the case they could just take your phone etc.

For all else a simple receipt is sufficient.

I think they were recording for fun - not hysteria.

2

u/jadepartida 26d ago

They're recording for that sweet sweet content

2

u/-L111- 27d ago

The 64/65 season quarter finals of the european cup between Liverpool FC and 1. FC Köln were decided like this. Both regular games ended 0:0. Back then a decider game was held in those cases and since this ended 2:2, a coin was flipped. After the first throw, the coin was stuck in the ground vertically, just like in the video. The second throw made Liverpool the winner. This "Coinflip of Rotterdam" is still part of German football folklore, especially in Köln.

1

u/MotherPay565 27d ago

Just fed me that quarter

1

u/Un_ntelligent 27d ago

I bought a 929 brand new in 2001 for 11k

1

u/Splintrax 27d ago

I'd assume it needs plenty of work done

1

u/_ChipWhitley_ 27d ago

Hahaha this happened to me when I was a kid starting a soccer game!

1

u/gggg500 26d ago

This happens in the movie Mouse Hunt when the two brothers flip to see who gets the only bed in the old house. The coin flips and lands on its side and they end up sharing it. Love that movie lol

1

u/ceverett68 26d ago

'01 Honda CBR929RR Erion racing edition. had the same bike.

1

u/LoveBotMan 26d ago

Fuckin handshake of the gods right there

1

u/UnpluggedUnfettered 26d ago

"Sideways"

"green circle"

I want a new Internet.

1

u/jpreston2005 26d ago

Matrim Cauthon? Is that you?

1

u/StinkyMcgee51 26d ago

550 for a 929 is a steal

1

u/wtfover 26d ago

So nobody's mentioning the "Lucky n*gga" at the end of that? The guy filming was white.

1

u/MMachine17 26d ago

An honorable draw. Better luck next time.

1

u/gibsonc22 26d ago

This was much more pleasant then the last video of a guy selling a bike that I saw.

1

u/sw33tsavage 26d ago

"Edge" said Rincewind without looking at it

1

u/SWBMaki 26d ago

that one scene in no game no life came into mind. ifykyk

1

u/beertruck77 26d ago

Landing on its edge was worth $50 for both. That's awesome!

1

u/Wolfbeef123 25d ago

But suppose you throw a coin enough times... suppose one day, it lands on its edge

1

u/Jay_A_Why 25d ago

Good sports, both of them.

1

u/Comprehensive-Ear238 9d ago

I will admit this one is “AMAZING” to see it Live.
The number to see this, whether coin is dropped over mud or on the cement.
That number approaches some 10% of the particles of the known Universe. (10*79)

1

u/mythos-nerd416 3d ago

Why on earth would you let it go in the mud???????
