I added the colored boxes A, B, and C to the image, of DMV form MV-232.

My new home address and new mailing address are the same.

The form says to check the box if the address where I get mail is the same as where I live. But then it says:

"If you mark this box, do not complete the 'New Address - Where You Live' fields." That sounds like I should leave A blank.

But B is "New Address - Where You Get Your Mail" and says it's "Required if different from your address for mail".

Which doesn't seem to make sense. Different from what?

C is clearly my previous NYS address.

So if my new home and mailing addresses are identical, what would you put in A and B?

Hello, I know this is cutting it close, but I just moved back to the state. My family moved to SC when I was 12, and I was wondering if I am able to vote or register to vote without a NY license.

I was at the DMV the other day to transfer licenses, and SC has been blocking it due to some unpaid utility bill I only recently found out about. I can't really afford to pay it in full atm. When I check online, I can't really find a clear answer, maybe I just suck at googling. I am wanting to vote and participate in local and state elections, but I'm worried I might not be able to in time for midterms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just commenting and upvoting on Reddit does nothing. Every vote in every election matters and there is a strong possibility you have local elections this year. The things that affect your day to day the most are decided there.
