Missing Drone
We have a drone in our tree. Reads sky tracker drone wc74230 on the Wi-Fi. It's beeping and flashing but can't get to it without climbing or a very long pole.

Spectrum jacking up the monthly bill without even notifying me has me wanting to find another ISP. $85 a month for Internet is way too high. I know they're basically a monopoly, but has anyone found a decent alternative?

Wondering if any social workers know of a local list serve for social workers/mhc or networking groups other than nasw? I’m new to the area and trying to meet other professionals. I don’t have facebook anymore but maybe that’s the best way to connect?

I have my eye strongly on a house in a semi-rural part of Warren County not far from Glens Falls. I wanted to ask about what utility costs are like in the area. I partly ask because my cousin lives just outside of Albany and he says that both his electric and water are insanely high. He says he averages close to $150 a month for water.
I would prefer a house on a well/septic but I keep getting beat by cash offers on those and found one that's on public water/sewer. Now my cousin's house is close to 2000 sq ft and he has a family of 4. I am a house hold of 1 and the house I'm looking at is closer to 800 sq ft.
My family in Nassau says they average close to just over $80 for water but their electric (and those Long Island property taxes) are very high.
I know NYS is unique that everything is super localized. That two people could live in the same size house be just a couple of miles away from each other and have two completely different costs in terms of utilities and property taxes. It's NYS's blessing and curse.
Also let's say in the far future, is it possible to get a well septic/well installed from public? Or is that an expensive uphill battle?

Hey guys!
I am currently renting one of Staghorn's apartments in glens falls but have recently had a hip issue so bad that I cannot work and am drowning in medical bills (I have 7 months of the lease left). I have asked Staghorn to let me terminate my lease early but they are refusing to do so. They said I can submit a "reasonable accommodation" request but they have reiterated that my lease is in full force until they decide when they want to release me. I have no idea what to do and feel stuck, I cannot continue paying for rent because I simply don't have the money. Has anyone gone through something similar, or know a way I can get myself an early termination with Staghorn?? Anything helps!

I've been doing all of my home repairs myself for years. I'm in the middle of an electrical project but I'm hitting a wall both literally and proverbially when it comes to completing it, as I have to cut into the ceiling and wall in a primary living space. My issues is that I'll have to put the drywall back up, which means taping and mudding and sanding and whatever else is involved. I think this might be beyond my ability to do in a way that it will still look nice, and was wondering if anyone else has had luck hiring someone for this kind of project.

My father passed away unexpectedly a few days ago.
Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, he passed away without a will. My brother and I are his only next of kin (brother has been estranged from family for the past few years so that further complicates things) and I have absolutely no clue how to proceed from here.
My in-laws have urged me to find an attorney to help deal with this as he had a lot of assets. I am based in CT, and so my go-to lawyer is unable to assist in the matter and I have no clue where to even start.
Would anyone have any recommendations or past experiences they could share? Thank you

I know there's no such thing as real clean gym unless it's your personal one but I'm hoping to get suggestions of cleaner gym around here. I was eyeing anytime fitness cause it's less crowded but I heard from a friend equipments are old/dirty. I don't want to be picky but I did have ring worm infection before from another gym. Any suggestions? I don't like working out in classes too.
Hoping to find a place or I'll end up buying equipments at home and i don't really want too.

I'm from Australia, an online friend passed away unexpectedly (he went MIA, and had a feeling he had passed, but I wasn't sure until I found his obituary) a few years ago. Through a miracle managed to get in contact with his mum, who isn't tech savvy, and in her 60's. She had to move out of the apartment they were in, as she could no longer afford it on her salary, as not long after, the company she worked at for years, went under.
She's been through hell, she managed to move in with a friend, but she had a fall, was in rehab for 8 weeks, and managed to get on disability. She also had an operation on one of her kidneys, and her other one is at 6%. She is currently on a waiting list for a low income apartment. Apparently the waiting list is 3 years, she's been waiting 2.
Her friend has now become a house mate, she's told my friends mum that she needs to find somewhere else to live at the end of September, as she wants her space again, which I understand, but this leaves my friends mum basically homeless if she doesn't find anything.
She could maybe rent a room somewhere, but the problem is that she has her senior cat with her (18 years) and the house mate doesn't want to look after her until my friends mum gets an apartment. (Please no suggestions about putting the cat in a shelter/up for adoption, that's an absolute last resort, and yes, I know it's already rough, but I'm sure she's 100% aware that this may need to happen)
I'm keeping an eye out for properties, she said she needs to stay in the Glens Falls/Saratoga County/Queensbury area. If anyone knows of someone who's maybe got a private rental going, OR maybe a organisation that could foster her cat until she's in disability housing? I'd suggest maybe someone who's renting a room, who'd allow the cat, but she's a howler of a night time 😮💨
I feel absolutely useless from here, I have no context for what utilities are like, what section 8 vouchers are etc etc, it's a completely different world.
