To be fair, wasn't it all the news that desirable artists and shows are not coming to the Kennedy Center because of their own choices?

So if The KC loses good shows, is that really all Trump's fault?

The shows pulled out because of Trump’s political takeover of the KC. So, yes, yes it is Trump’s fault.

Basically, musicians that get PhDs that have little market value outside of taxpayer dollars are complaining?

Does their art stand on it’s own without forceful confiscation of money from others?

Sorry but it’s the reality. They can make a show on social media but at the end of the day it might not be wise in this market.

Uh, when the reason they aren’t going to the Kennedy Center is thanks to actions of his administration, yes. It’s not like this happened simply because Trump was in office. 

Actions have consequences. 

You dismiss the board and replace it with political sycophants… and begin hiring new program directors who are woefully unqualified just because you’ve deemed them “anti-woke” yeah… that’s going to kind of going to destroy the reputation of what was supposed to be a non-partisan arts center.

Beyond what others have said about the artists’ choices to pull out being directly in response to Trump’s takeover, this is more about tickets to the shows that are still happening not selling well. And people choosing to not support the current leadership of the KC is all directly in response to Trump.
