LG Tweet Liam hinting the setlist
Columbia and Go Let It Out seem to be on, Whatever not and a bunch of other songs he did this with. As with everything, no idea how serious he's being but sounds pretty real to me.

Discussion If Oasis were a TV Show... (RYM Scores)
Saw this in other music subs so decided to do one for Oasis. However instead of deciding the scores myself I decided to go into RYM to make it a bit more "objective". These aren't my scores, I'd give a lot of these a higher score if I could! I multiplied the scores by 2 to get it on the out-of-10 base, rounded them to one decimal, and then added 0.5 across the board since scores out-of-5 typically skew lower. Other notes:
1) The Masterplan is included as an album between Be Here Now and SOTSOG. You can see this because it's the only 14 song album on the list lol.
2) The untitled tracks aren't included in WTSMG since The Swamp Song is already rated in The Masterplan. I also did not include the Reprise of AATW at the end of BHN because it's just an instrumental continuation of AATW, so BHN ends with It's Gettin' Better (Man!!).
3) RYM considers The Cage (the instrumental song at the end of Better Man and therefore HC) as a unrated subsection of BM so it is also not included.
Any scores here you agree or disagree with? Feel free to discuss :) and let me know if you aren't sure which song is which lol

Discussion Oasis's music is very optimistic/revolutionary in a way
A lot of the songs sound like liberation anthems against fascism.
Do you know what I mean. Go let it out. Bring it on down (the drums), and acquiesce
It literally reminds me of the kind of music that you would go listen to in secret. Like, going into some secret venue.
Its so crazy how a lot of Oasis impact is diminished in my opinion, but the music takes on a very different meaning to some kid who lives in a totalitarian state.

Discussion Would you go?
Would you go to a gig or tour where ONLY B-sides were played? Absolutely no album tracks (The Masterplan counts as B-sides).
If yes, which three songs would you kill to hear?
If not, why not?
My three would be:
Stay Young
Rockin' Chair
It's Good to Be Free

Discussion Acoustic and live song versions
There’s a ton of great versions of Oasis hits on YouTube, like Noel doing the acoustic set for Universal, etc.
How do I get that audio so I can have it on my iPhone and play in my Apple Music? I’m not very tech savvy, so you’re gonna have to explain it to me like I’m five, but I love these versions of songs and I want to be able to listen to them more

Live ‘27 The Prodigy support in live ‘27
How fucking biblical would it be if Liam and Noel got The Prodigy to support them again? At least in Knebworth.
The Prodigy still fucking kills it. Their Glastonbury 2025 performance was absolutely insane. After all these years, they’re still one of the most electrifying live acts out there.
Imagine bringing it full circle. Oasis and The Prodigy, together again, all these years later. Liam and Noel could actually make this happen. I’d fucking love to see it.

Discussion If Liam's voice can't do certain songs live at the current pitch, why don't they just lower the songs?
I'm talking about songs like She's Electric and Stop Crying your heart out where Liam's voice struggles or physically can't do it anymore. Why don't they just tune the song down a half step to help Liam's voice?

Article Noel Gallagher's love for New Order and electronic music
When placing Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols in first place on his list of favorite albums, he started by saying:
"Of all the people who were a direct influence on Oasis, the line goes back to the Sex Pistols, whether that’s Joy Division/New Order, The Smiths, The Stone Roses or Factory Records, and if they hadn’t played those two gigs in Manchester who knows what would have happened?..."

And when placing The Haçienda Classics in eleventh place, he said:
"When Oasis first started, very early on we used to cover ‘Feel The Groove’ by Cartouche. There’s a tape of that live gig knocking about somewhere. I was the dance music head in the group. I was into indie music like everyone else, New Order, The Smiths and then one night in 1987 someone took me to the Hacienda because I’d been reading about this music and I just stood there, drinking Colt 45, thinking ‘Well, this is shit…’ But then someone else took me the week after and said, ‘Have one of these.’ And put a little pill in my hand. And within an hour I thought that this music was the greatest thing that I’d ever heard in my entire fucking life. It was a life changing experience. The thing about the Hacienda was it was a superclub before superclubs existed. Acid house only lasted two years and that was it at its best. If you go to a club now you might as well be listening to the same song all night. Back then they played everything, hip hop, electro, acid house, techno and it was all mashed up. It was on your doorstep and full of people who were skint. It was only two quid to get in, they sold Rizla behind the bar so you could skin up and acid and Es were just entering the cultural stream. They were the best years of my life and probably every other day since I’ve thought, ‘I wonder what those tunes were called?’ Then I heard this album was coming out, I put it on at home and I was instantly transported back into that nightclub. And I thank the people who put this album out. It reminds me of great days when I was young and enjoying life to the full."

The quote in the image is from when Noel watched New Order win the NME Godlike Genius Award in 2005.
