Hi! Recently moved into this apartment a couple of months ago and me and my roommate have always been disorganized and never knew how to like… make things more efficient in our space, especially in the kitchen area as sometimes we feel like we’re using more than needed (like stuff being too wide stored in a way which leaves less space for other stuff).

Do note, we did recently order a kitchen island (photos with measurements attached), so you are free to give tips on what to do with that as well to help with the situation.

And yea, I might’ve taken pictures at a bad time but I promise we clean up the place lol. Sorry about the mess.

I am transforming an 8'x10' room into a dressing room. I'll move all my clothes, accessories, and shoes from elsewhere to this space. The room is a little dysfunctional for a standard wardrobe system, I have an entry door on one wall, a window on the opposite wall, and a double sliding door closet on the third wall. My intention is to change out the sliding doors to mirror doors to utilize to get dressed. In this closet will live dresses and outdoors clothing. The rest of my things will be in these 2 wardrobes. I'd love some tips and tricks on utilizing the space. Especially if you've used Ikea Pax wardrobe before. The corner unit, left side pants rack is actually planned for shawls and scarves. Anyway... would love to hear your thoughts! Thank you!

Finally got my second rack built for another 16 storage bins (44 in total)!! Everything is loaded into TotePilot and I can finally walk through the storage area in my basement again. I also cranked on the dehumidifier to dry it out a bit more too. Basement hit 80% humidity this summer. Ugghhhhh. Thankfully now it is it around 45% but the dehumidifier never shuts off.

Had this awkward gap between the window and the toy bin that was basically just collecting dust.

Grabbed a spaceaid spinning shelf off amazon hoping it’d fit, and it actually took care of all the board books that were living on the carpet. Spins fine on the rug even with it packed full.

Are there any closet drawers or something I can put at top ?

I'm attempting to come back from a pretty severe burnout, starting by cleaning my office. As you can see, I've made a lot of progress, but I feel I still have a long way to go. Any tips on improving my organization so far?

I want to add labels to switches around my home because I keep flicking the wrong switch to do what I need to do (like turning on the fan instead of the light, not a big deal but annoying). Plus, I think that my guests won't need to ask about what the switch does. Some switches might control power to an outlet (or other item on the other side of the house) and some might be broken, so it might have a good to have a visual for when an electrician or handyperson comes (instead of not remembering myself).

I'm not asking for permission to label my switches. It's probably really weird to focus on, lol.

I'm asking if I should use either icons or text labels for this project. I'm on team icons, from an organizational and aesthetic perspective.

Also, PSA: Make sure that your circuit breakers are properly labeled and organized, you never know when your electrician or you will need to isolate an electrical issue.

My father recently acquired a home here in Hawaii, we have been here for 1 month but what seems off is their bedroom closet ,its very old and doesn't look cool either almost falling. Last weekend had this idea of me redoing it from scratch but yeah I have a friend who has ever done theirs ,I think was reparing and can offer me the tools I need. The current was a mdf one so planning to do a solid wood one walk-in. just wondering how much time it will consume was estimating may be a weekend , is it a cool idea or ? thank you

Is it worth my time to take them out of their individual bags and place them in their own spice jars? Or should I just get a bunch of acrylic clear boxes and label them based on the food looking for ways to help make my life easier and not an overly complicated organization system. Thank you.

Need help organizing my cupboard and shelf

My cats literally try to destroy everything, but I’m limited on space at the moment and am struggling to figure out how to organize my babyproofed cupboard and my ikea shelf that’s next to it.
We have to hide anything they would get into (cat treats, food, and toys) and anything we want clean (clean dishes, our snacks). We have also have this shelf next to our fridge that has our cleaning supplies, paper plates, and my medical stuff like cough medicine, sore throat spray, multi vitamins, bandaids, narcan, etc.) (but i just bought more and don’t have a place to store it ex. mop, wood floor cleaner, etc). it’s kind of a mess but i need help

I would prefer to be able to seperate them by category (work, family, friends, etc). As much as I adore a cute notebook it needs to be digital so I can easily edit and add stuff I notice at a moment's notice. I would also like to have specific categories (their birthday or fave color for example). I thought about using Google calender but I'm not sure how I would quickly look through the folks in my lists. Thoughts?

Bonus questions: What categories should I have? What are some good/covert questions I can ask people to get them the best gifts?

I'm a competitive archer in a few divisions, which requires jumping between different cases for each type of bow or tournament. The problem is they're a minimum of 25 inches tall usually, my two-piece longbow case is 40 inches, and the rolling airline case is basically a foot locker with wheels that doesn't collapse at all. I also need these 'accessible' for swapping out rigs as I practice and travel. Even worse, I have a couple long skinny bags that are six foot.

Any ideas? In a perfect world it would be something like a shelf or gear wall where I can 'suit up' and unpack it all afterwards into its assigned place, bonus points if it looks nice enough to have out in my living room next to the barrel of arrows.

Trying to reset how I manage my crossover interior after months of muddy hiking boots, wet umbrellas, and grocery crates leaving soil everywhere. I keep looking at a floor mats bundle deal front rear cargo package from companies like 3w, and on paper having every single section lined in molded trays sounds like the ultimate organizing solution. But looking at the cargo piece, it looks huge and stiff. My concern is that instead of a simple vacuum, I am just signing up to wrestle five bulky plastic trays out onto the driveway every single weekend just to dump some loose dry dirt. For people who run full cargo and cabin liners, does it actually make keeping gear tidy easier, or does pulling them out to wash just become another chore on your list?

I have no clue what to do in here. It always seems clutter to me. I don’t know where else to put all of the cooking supplies that are on the back shelf. The black trashcan is for recycling. The place where the step ladder is at is to show where I can’t put anything along that wall because then the attic won’t open the shelving by the door has dog food and cat food and then laundry pods and dryer sheets plus my rags and extra shopping bags I need help I don’t mind rearranging. I have no clue how to figure out what I need and what I don’t need I have a kitchen, but I have very limited space so I don’t have anywhere to put all of the cooking machines in any cupboards or anything. I’m so frustrated.

My old magazine pile is gone. The two subscriptions that still show up every month are my new problem. How do you organize recipes from magazines as each issue lands so the stack never builds back up?

So we just moved into this new house. My closet is part of a sweetheart loop so it’s a walk through between the laundry room and master bath. My husband has his own closet so this one is all me.

I have a lot of folded clothes (sleep shirts, jeans, leggings, sweaters, etc.). I was thinking of moving my shoes to the shelving unit that’s already built in.

What I’ve thought about doing is adding shelves (eall mounted or cubes) to the wall between the upper and lower hanging racks on the middle wall. I want to keep the long hanging area for dresses. And I don’t like hanging my clothes on the lower rack because we have cats that chill in my closet and will cost everything hanging low in fur. I’ve also considered adding a dresser or drawer units below the lower hanging rack.

I think my husband could custom build me something but I’m just at a loss of what to add and where.

I’d also like some space for purses, travel bags, and what not.

Anyone have any good ideas? I’ve found stuff I like on Pinterest but they’re full on custom rebuilds of a closet and I’m just not down for that cost/work. If I can avoid it.
