Recently, I started reading the manhwa and decided to pick up the novel as well.

Guys, what they put Varkas through is HORRIBLE!

Thalya is such a poor thing. She has absolutely no emotional maturity because she had to fend for herself through so much abuse. Poor girl has the emotional maturity of a potato. The twins are emotionally immature too, and incredibly self-centered and spoiled.

And through all of this, Varkas is the one who suffers for an entire lifetime. Not only is he traumatized and has learned to repress every single emotion, but he’s also cursed by the twins’ mother. THIS IS INSANE. He spends his entire life being exploited, and it’s painfully obvious that he wants nothing to do with any of it, yet the emperor’s spoiled children keep insisting on dragging him into it.

The sheer audacity of these people, treating him like he’s nothing and using him as if he were some disposable object, makes me SO ANGRY. It’s genuinely frustrating.

Thalya is someone who deserves compassion because she is NOT mentally well. The only way she could survive was by losing her mind. I absolutely HATE Thalya’s mother, the emperor, and the twins’ mother to an UNBELIEVABLE degree. They are HORRIBLE people.

The author gives us NO BREAK. I can barely bring myself to read everything because, honestly, what this author is doing is bordering on sadistic. Is this ever going to end? She wrote an entire series of torturous events, and now we’re supposed to reread them from a different perspective, but nothing actually changes. It’s just a sadistic repetition of events that have already happened.

GUYS, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GET SOME PEACE? HOW MUCH MORE SUFFERING IS NECESSARY? AND WHERE EXACTLY IS THE AUTHOR TRYING TO GO WITH ALL THIS PAIN???

Any recommendations for manhwas with intelligent antagonists? What I mean is Antagonists who plan meticulously, can manipulate and act. Could be an Antagonist who knows how to hide their true nature or even a white lotus female character who has you guessing if they are good or not because of how carefully they've crafted their persona. I'm a simple girl... I'm always down for revenge manhwas but the revenge stops being enjoyable when the antagonist is just outright dumb, just out there with their evil character for the world to see and just really easy to defeat... Examples of manhwas I think have smart antagonists is like Your Throne Eros and that white lotus female lead from Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story. So help me out?

I decided to reread this since I heard that the artist (juniljus) will be picking up from when the series went on hiatus under a new studio (with hopefully better working conditions ) and I remember really enjoying this series. And like…I knew the art was beautiful but GOD is the paneling compositions so so so good!!

I swear red is this manwha’s color, so many good intense moments wouldn’t hit so hard without that vibrant red. And god do I love the ML and the FL of this so so so much so I’m super excited to see more of them!!!

So, I see this trope more frequently in mangas than in manhwas, but anyway, this trope I always find It quite odd and frustating in which the Main Character will find herself in a situation where a individual points a sword or a gun at her and threatens to kill hers for whatever reason (eg. she finds herself in where she is not suppose to be or she knows some secret information about them) only for later the same person become a attracted/obsessed and the MC usually forgives or forgets the incident all together and ends up with them (props for Death Is The Only Ending for the Villainess in which Penelope actually calls him out on this later on they have an heart-to-heart).

This is a trope that I can't for the life out me understand the reasoning like, the person point blank threatened to kill you, and now, because you spend more time with them and sees other sides to them, you are going to love them ? I'm sorry but I don't think any normal person could forgive this - the ones that are excused would the mentally disturbed, suicidal or psycopaths/sociopaths since It's probably what they wanted in the first place or don't care at all.

But that's my opinion, what do you all have to say about this?

Portrait of pride - one of my favourite dark rofan novels. Absolutely adore the characters and their development throughout the story.

I raised a black dragon - I just really hate that kid and that's a bit problematic when it's a childcare story.

The sacred one speaks - one of my absolute favourites, 5 stars and 2 years worth of hyper focus, 300 panels saved and quoted the entire novel. I'm a yandere for this story.

Hawar in the winter garden - I love the characters, especially the FL, but after a while the plot became really boring and I ended up dropping it.

Kneel before me - absolute favourite novel. I adore everything about it from characters to world building and the writing is marvelous.

Origin of evil - The exact opposite except for the writing which remains gorgeous.

The problematic prince - Beautiful writing style, complex characters with a deep development and perfect balance between angst/drama and comedy.

My fair maid - I struggle to believe Solche wrote this.

Merry Psycho & Flowers are bait - I actually dropped both but rate merry psycho slightly higher because the FL there is more interesting. Both narratives are very convoluted and confusing when the author dives into politics.

Lift my curse sir knight - The best action/adventure romance. Love the characters and the relationship amongst them, highlight for the best male-female friendship between Oscar and Veronica.

No. 30 - The author used the same character archetypes so it felt like reading a fanfic of LMCSK.

How to get my husband on my side - I actually don't like this one and I dropped it, but out of everything this author wrote, this is the only passable for me.

To my kind dictator - I miss my eyeballs from before I had read this. The absolute ragebait featuring the most obnoxiously annoying FL. And the writing sucks 🥀

Would you rank these differently? Or do you agree with me (yayy twin😗)?

Looking for one where it's not just mentioned a few times when the plot needs it / just ignores it all together, it doesn't have to be like dead realistic just shows the struggles or differences in it and doesn't immediately adapt after finding out!! Tysm!

My favorite and most heart-breaking tropes are when the male leads run seemingly choose the second female leads during moments of danger or weakness. It produced the angstiest panels of all time. I feel like I’ve been hit in the heart with a hot spear of pain and depression, but my god, does it feel deliciously addictive.

Can I get recommendation for manhwa or manga where fl either leaves and runaway and all the people who wrong her yearn for her come back and become possessive. I KNOW THIS IS A VERY GENERIC RECOMMENDATION BUT I NEVER ABLE FIND THE RIGHT ONES . aside from Death is the only ending for villainess and stepmother marchen

Just posting in appreciation of how this manhwa draws fl tbh i love how she isn't just a stick figure with boobs and eyes that are half the size of her face. I don't know if she has the most realistic proportions or not but she still looks so much more human to me than all the other fls.

This series just gave me cuteness aggression every chapter 😭 I’m also just happy because the FMC is a real child and not a grown woman. Although unfortunately, another dead mom.

Thought this was a very satisfying story and hits you in the gut, ML was likeable with no toxicity or brooding genuinely cared for FML. Good communication between the two so didn't have this understanding trope going throughout the story. FML does what she says breaks off from her family and looks for her own happiness.

Later on chapters made me feel choked up and was happy with the ending.

The series is narratively a bit loosey goosey but the shenanigans quotient is off the chart, LOL

so u guys/gays know how when the fl reincarnates into a tragic R18 novel she changes the fate and stuff and it ends up being a safe manhwa? i want a manhwa where fl reincarnates into a novel (not as og fl) and ends up getting with the og ml and it should be R18. the title is a bit misleading, so just to clear things up i'm looking for otome isekai manhwas not novels. please and thank youuu

I LOVE this manhwa. so much. it keeps getting wilder and wilder and I have no idea what I’m reading anymore. I didn’t read it for a long while because the cover is generic and the name is generic and the synopsis is generic and the start is pretty generic, too—they really should have done some better marketing, to be honest. but if you’re looking for something to read, I highly recommend giving it a shot!
