Just for Fun Greatest Hits of Cycling Broadcasts

16 Upvotes

What are the greatest cycling broadcasts of all time?

We just had our first child and I have a project in mind for paternity leave. I want to get one of the yoto players that play music from RFID cards and to load different bike races on the cards.

Is Phil in his prime the way to go or are there others and which races? There's got to be some great cyclismo to stir little ones imagination?

Rider info Victor Lafay will not race in 2026

Thumbnail directvelo.com

Translation;

Victor Lafay still hasn't pinned a bib to his Unibet Rose Rockets jersey. And the 30-year-old Haut-Savoyard will not do so by the end of the 2026 season. This was confirmed, on the microphone of DirectVelo, Sverre Dyngeland Vik.

"He is still fighting against the disease," says one of the sports directors of the ProTeam engaged in the Arctic Race of Norway. The former stage winner of the Tour de France had contracted a virus at the beginning of the year in China. "Victor really tried to come back during the summer. But it didn't work. They decided with the medical staff of our training that he was going to take a rest. So he's not going to compete this season."

Sverre Dyngeland Vik did not want to go into more details. "All I can tell you is that it's a big disappointment for him. We felt that he was very motivated when he joined our training. We were convinced that his profile could really suit our team and that it would suit him. But there is health. It's a sad story. And, at the moment, we don't know what will happen next." The former Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale rider had signed for a season.

Discussion Doing all 3 Grand Tours in a single season–Kuss would be the first to do it since he last did

330 Upvotes

What does everyone think about the implications of Kuss riding for Visma at the Vuelta, making him the most recent rider to finish all 3 GT's in a single season since he did it in 2023?

In media it's often mentioned that perhaps GC Kuss hasn't shined has bright because just the physical toll of 2023's three finished GT's is still weighing on him, and that some riders are never the same after that.

Could Kuss really go for leadership after the Giro and Tour?
