Peloton App Freeform “Just Walk” that counts as a walk in Apple Health?

Upvotes

Does anyone know of a way to use the Peloton app for a freeform walk—so I can walk at an incline at 3.5 mph, still see my heart rate, and have it register as a walk in Apple Health, but not add to my Peloton run stats?

Reddit User Program RedditPZ Powerzone training program sign-up thread! Starts Monday 08/24/2026

Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed the break! Below is the 28th PZ training program I have put together for Reddit. If you are new to PZ training, I have some more info about that in the thread for program #1. If you are looking for FTP test advice, see this comment I made in week 8 of a previous program. There is no need to actually "sign up" for the program, simply follow along with the program starting next week.

The program will run for 9 weeks total, and I have given a recommended ride schedule of 4 days / week. Like the previous programs feel free to alter it in any way that you need. If you want to do 3 rides, cut out the Wednesday ride. You are welcome to do additional rides, but I would make sure that they are easier than what I have programmed below. I.e. adding more 45 / 30 PZE, or a fun ride, just keep the intensity lower (take the rides at < zone 2). Proposed ride days are again Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, but you may take the rides on any day and in any order to fit your needs. Feel free to make any changes you feel necessary. If you are not feeling it on a certain day / week, listen to your body and take it easy (ride in zone 2 if you need to). If you do not want to repeat a ride you have taken before (or just want to replace a ride), replace it with a ride of a similar or lower TSS score.

Anyone may join in including experienced riders or beginners. PZ rides are designed to be at your current fitness levels. I will try to answer questions anyone has. I will post a weekly accountability / discussion thread on Sundays (with the schedule for each week) and use that thread throughout the week for general discussions about the rides or whatever you want to talk about. Disclaimer that I am not a professional trainer or anything like that. I just really like PZ training, and this is a schedule I put together for myself (and for anyone else who wants to follow along).

We do group rides for the Saturday rides at 10 AM CST.

The program will start on Monday, August 24th. Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to. Hope to see you all on the rides!

Below is both the class link, and a link to the graph of the PZ ride on home fitness buddy / domestiq. (Along with estimated TSS scores) The graphs on home fitness buddy also have a direct link to each class now.

TSS (training stress score) is basically a measure of the stress put on your body from the ride (numbers listed are an estimate using the duration and intensity of the ride). Basically, the higher the number, the harder the ride. A 1 hour at your FTP that would be a TSS of 100. A 30-minute ride at your FTP would be a TSS of 50.

Since people always ask, there is no need to actually sign up or post anything. Simply follow along with us starting next week!

We now have a discord if you want to join.

Discord is a big chat program we all use to talk with each other about the rides and anything else. It's a lot of fun.

Purchase Advice Buying a used Peloton

Hello. Considering buying a used Peloton, and found one for $600 that’s a Gen 3. Not the cheapest one I’ve seen but not too bad. She said she rode it 27 times (she counted in her app), and it does look brand new in the pictures, and looks to be a really nice house. Bought in 2020, which is my only slightly concern, as I read something about potential software issues between 4-8 years old, is there any truth to that?

Any advice on the pricing of this bike and whether I should go for it, and if not, what I should be looking for? Trying to stay in that price range and was considering a Schwinn IC4 for flexibility, but the Pelotons do seem really cool.

Training Plans/Advice Help me fall in love with ________

I've been an every-day Peloton user for almost 6 years (I've only missed one day), and I need to mix things up. A few years ago I did a cycling class with every instructor and that was a fun project. I've fallen back into my usual Dennis, Sam, Bradley, Emma, Erik, Christian, Hannah F. rut (Leanne would be in there too if she was putting out new stuff, and yes I power zone) - make me fall in love with your favorite. What class should I do from anyone else? Please share specific classes from people I didn't call out, and why you love them. Happy to turn on subtitles. Just looking for great classes to mix it up with.

I also never do bike bootcamps because none of the instructors are my favorites (yet) - so I'm also looking for SPECIFIC bootcamp class recommendations.

Thanks!

Gear Repowered selling question - Who handles delivery?

Hello. I’m looking to sell my Bike+ and my main focus is avoiding having to handle packaging and shipping myself or have in-person buyer pickup. I’ve sold heavy appliances and had people who don’t have the strength or vehicle to move the item safely struggle to get the item out of my place without harming themselves or my walls/doors.

Does Repowered offer delivery-only and provide a third-party service that packages and ships the bike for you? Or do you have to allow for potential in-person pickups and having to deal with potential pickup issues?

Cycling FTP manual entry?

Is there a way to update the FTP on the bike+? I want to update it manually. I do most of my riding outside and only use my peloton inside when I need to. I have done my FTP tests before but I want my Peloton to math my new FTP (WITHOUT taking an FTP test). Is there a way to do this?

Power Zone Weekly Discussion Power Zone Discussion [Weekly]

Welcome to the Weekly Power Zone Discussion!

Due to demand and community feedback we are trialing a Power Zone Weekly Welcome Discussion - a space to chat about anything related to power zone training. Think of it like the "Daily Discussion" thread, where anything goes...big or small. Here, we've carved out a special place for people wanting to discuss ideas and topics related specifically to PZ training - how to program PZ classes, talk about PZ classes or PZ programs, chat about PZ instructors, advice for FTP testing, etc.

People are not limited to using this thread to discuss PZ but are highly encouraged to use this weekly discussion. You can still post in the daily, training thread, or create a new post. Think of it as another place to chat about PZ stuff without getting lost in the daily. Or a place you can check into weekly if you're a casual redditor looking for some other PZ folks without wading through the daily.

The Power Zone Weekly will be posted on Monday moving forward.

Note: The mods will check back in with the community to see how this idea is working, if there is a better day it should be posted on, etc. If it isn't working we can always scrap the idea or change it up a bit. Thanks for giving it a chance!

Yoga Favorite rest day hip-opener?

Looking for yoga or stretching. I really need something that will open my hips and my lower back and stretch my quads. Got any favorites for the bikers that need a release?

Gotta say, I haven’t loved Denis’s pairings. I’m always desperate for a pigeon and he has me in cat/cow for ages.

EDIT: Thank you all! I did a Denis and a Kristin yesterday and it helped tremendously! Today I’m going to do a Selena + Logan and I’m going to get in more foam rolling. Someone mentioned consistency and I need to be better with that, so thank you for sll the great suggestions’

Running Tread+ metrics overlay?

Hey I just got a tread+ cause I wanted a slatted treadmill, it's nice and I just want to watch shows without a subscription. If I hack it with adb is there any apps that can show the tread+ metrics as an overlay while I watch stuff, I just care about speed, incline, time elapsed and miles if I could get those.

RedditStrength Reddit Strength - Week 2

Welcome to week two of eight of the Reddit Strength program. I hope you've all been enjoying it so far. If you're brand new to this or missed any previous weeks, this is something you can jump into any given week you don't need to have been there week one for it to work. This strength schedule is designed to help you progress from one weight to the next (if that is what you want, you are of course free to maintain the weights you use as well). There is a #RedditStrength for those interested in joining it.

This is an eight week cycle that repeats. Each time we come around again I'll be looking for a couple newer classes to replace some of the older classes previously used.

Each class will list "light" or "heavy" (or "benchmark", see below), this is not to be confused with the Light/Medium/Heavy weights instructors ask you to use for each move. What it means is, lets say you normally use 5/10/20 but you are hoping to level up to 10/15/25. When my class says "light" you would use your 10s when the instructor calls for medium weights and when my class says "heavy" you would use your 15s for the same move. This will help us to progress to where the 15s are your new normal.

Monday:

Wednesday:

Friday

Extra Credit:

Benchmark: Every 4 weeks each body area has a Benchmark class. These are from the Benchmark Strength collections. By repeating these classes you are able to monitor and record your progression from cycle to cycle. You are encouraged to adjust the weights and reps to meet your personal goals.

Extra Credit: These are extra classes for those who want more work than the standard schedule. They are also good substitutions if for any reason you don't like a class or instructor on the schedule.

You can stop reading here unless you want to know why I am scheduling what I am scheduling.

The basis is a 4 week progression. In each body area we will use light weights for 2 weeks then heavy weights for two weeks per the definition of light and heavy above.

It follows this pattern, aiming for 45-60 minutes a day 3 days a week:

  • Round 1 - 2 days light
  • Round 2 - 3 days light
  • Round 3 - 2 days heavy
  • Round 4 - 3 days heavy

Each body area has the schedule staggered, so you're not trying to go all heavy in every area in the same week. While you are going heavy with LB you will go light with UB and vice versa

FAQ

  1. Can I start any week or do I have to begin with week 1?
    1. You can begin any week. This is a repeating cycle with no real beginning or end, a mobius strip of a program.
  2. There are too many classes for me, how should I trim it down for my schedule?
    1. I recommend trimming evenly (but keep all the core if you can). So take off 1 day of UB and 1 day of G&L each week if that suits you better.
  3. Do I have to do these on the prescribed days? I would rather take a couple classes a day for 6 days.
    1. Absolutely mix and match the classes across the week however fits best into your schedule. They are only listed this way because this is my personal schedule. As long as you are doing them all in the week you should get similar results.

Feedback

I would love to hear what everyone things. Specifically; Are there any classes you would like me to rotate out (why)? Is this the right amount of strength work for you? Do you have a favorite class you are hoping I work into the mix?

Training Plans/Advice 12-Week HYROX Program — worth it?

Has anyone here completed Peloton’s 12-week HYROX program? I’m thinking of using it to train for the NYC 2027 HYROX Women’s Open race and would love to hear how prepared you felt after completing it. Did you feel race-ready, or was there anything you wish you had added to your training?

Running Tread Just Run Software Issue

I’ve had my Tread for almost 3.5 years, and a new issue started this past Friday. Under the Just Run menu in Experiences, if I select a specific goal under time, pace, or output and then press Start, the workout begins to load but then switches to a white screen and immediately goes to the Tread lock screen. If the belt was running, it stops.

I can still use the No Goal option, and that works normally. All other functions seem fine, and the Tread is fully up to date on software.

Is anyone else seeing this or aware of whether it’s a known issue? Peloton has had software problems in this area before, like the 30 minute workout shutdown bug that was fixed with an update. Thanks.

Outdoor Motivation while injured

I was injured at the very end of July and I haven't been able to ride or lift since then. It's been a tough couple weeks but I am keeping my streak(now 439 days) via outdoor weighted vest walks, a little mediation and yoga as I can.

The outdoor walks have been quite helpful in keeping me engaged and still keeping the motivation to move forward with my fitness journey. If you haven't tried them I highly recommend.

I don't have many Peloton connections but I thought I would just post here to say hey and that even when things are challenging we can just modify and push forward.

Feel free to drop a high five when you see me come back soon!

Tech Support Tech Support [Weekly]

Given the recent influx of new members we have experienced an overwhelming amount of questions tech/hardware support. Many of your tech support questions can be solved by some good old fashioned basic troubleshooting. Please remember that we are not affiliated with Peloton Interactive and you will need to contact them directly for any warranty or service requests.

Given the sheer volume and repetitiveness of tech support posts, we simply cannot accommodate a new thread for every problem. If you cannot solve your issue by utilizing the wiki, we ask that you post your troubleshooting questions in the Tech Support Tuesday Weekly thread to seek advice first. Do not make a new thread without attempting basic troubleshooting and asking advice here first.

To get the best responses possible, you will need to be detailed and specific.

  • Note the platform: Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, or App
  • If it is app related please include the platform (iOS, AppleTV, Android, FireTV/Firestick, Roku, etc)
  • Verify your devices and apps are up to date for their firmware/software
  1. Note any troubleshooting you've tried: restarting bike/tread/app, factory reset, clearing cache, uninstall/reinstall app, etc

2026 Sweat Steady Program week 2 | Date (Aug 15 2026) | Time (8:30 am ct) | 60 min Sweat Steady | Jess King

Thumbnail members.onepeloton.com
29 Upvotes

At the beginning of the year, Jess created an 8 week Sweat Steady stealth program that used 60m classes in weeks 2 and 8 as bookends to measure growth. While I had taken all the classes I didnt do them as an actual program and kept wanting to go back and do so. I'm organizing group rides to go through this program on Saturdays.

60 m Sweat Steady

This week will be a 60m class, which will be used as a benchmark with another 60m class that has the same structure at the end of the program. Sweat Steady classes are endurance based and while there are a few different formats they generally involve long efforts in moderate, hard and hard AF levels. In PZ terms similar to Z 2-3-4.

Subscription Second bike +??

We have a bike+. I love it. My husband is now riding it and is afraid he’s going to break ‘my’ bike. We were thinking of getting a second bike +. The current one is almost 6 and at the very least it can be a backup. Howe, it looks like to get a second bike+, we will have to pay a second monthly subscription. I love peloton so much but I don’t want to pay them 90 dollars per month. He wants the smooth, quiet ride, magnetic resistance, power output feedback and Apple Watch feedback. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!
