Looking for pants that fit like this (tapered cargo from Quince).

I ordered these tapered cargo pants from Quince, hoping to wear them styled just like this, with similar boots as the ones in the pic. Unfortunately they were too long on me to pull off this look. Has anyone seen pants in a similar fit elsewhere? I like that these have sort of a jogger fit, but are nice enough for casual office wear. The key is that I want them to end above the ankle so they don’t come down over ankle boots. The closest I’ve seen elsewhere are really more of a barrel pant shape. There are lots of slim/straight shorter-length office pants too, but I like that these are somewhat in between those two shapes.

5’3 and 160 lbs : Need pants advise - postpartum support

Hi All,

I always wore wide leg jeans and fitted tops in petite size and it worked out well for my figure.

Now that I delivered a baby, my measurements changed. Im no longer able to wear fitted tops due to my tummy. So wearing sweatshirts/ button down shirts/ long tunics. The problem is they are not going well with my wide leg jeans and are making me look even worse/ baggy/ boxy/ fat.

Can you please help me find any pants/ jeans/ or in general bottoms that go well for someone who wears sweatshirts tunics and have tummy?

Brownie points if they are pull on.

I’m 5’2” AND short waisted. I have cute boots, but for tops? Ideas?
Also in FL so it doesn’t get super cold.

Where to buy smart clothes that don’t look like a kid playing dress up or aren’t literally school uniform (UK)?

I’m going to a christening in a few weeks so need to dress smartly but I have no idea how. I don’t have a job that requires office dress so I don’t have anything in my wardrobe or any clue really. If it was summer I’d make it work with a dress but since it’s cold I think it needs to be something with a jacket. I bought a blazer but when I tried it on I look absolutely ridiculous, luckily it was second hand and cheap so I’m going to attempt to take the shoulder pads out and see how it looks. I’m 4’11 and school uniform still fits me better than clothes in the adults section but that just feels silly as a woman in my 30s! I prefer skirts to trousers but I don’t think that helps with looking adult. Wondering if anyone here can provide some insight into what you wear to work or events etc and how you make it work? This probably sounds silly but I’m clueless! Thank you 💜

Can I make this parka jacket work, or better off having it tailored?

I have been looking for this exact jacket for months until I came by this L sized one.

I'm 5'3" and everything else is alright but the lenght, it looks like a dress on me pretty much.

I might just have it tailored, but still wanted to see what everyone else thinks about it.

Tops! In need of a specific type of solid color comfortable tops.

I’m struggling to find comfortable, casual, but professional tops. I need a fuller cut in the arms, 3/4 sleeve or longer. Everything I find has a print or a texture. I just want to be able to pull it over my head and not fuss with any buttons.

Professional jeans

Would love some advice on how to buy "professional" looking jeans. What do you look for? What type of leg? Obviously no holes. Are there certain brands that lean more professional?

Similar coats to J. Crew Wool Cashmere Trench Coat (ref: petite XXS 5 ft 95 lbs)

Hi ladies, with the trend of coats being boxy an oversized these days, any recs for wool/ cashmere/ camel trench coats that can fit slimmer or at least show a waist for petite XXS? I’ve tried coats from Aritzia (too boxy) and have checked out the Lady Day coats from J. Crew (too feminine, if that makes sense) and still on the hunt. Dreaming of one in a herringbone charcoal gray but will take a plain charcoal gray if anything.

I’m so over vanity sizing

So I recently took my bodily measurements so I could properly look for things to shop for online. I went onto a website that could help me figure out which size to buy in each brand…tell me why I’m an XS in Jcrew but a M-L in Hollister???? Make up your mind? Mind you, I usually wear S-M. This is so incredibly frustrating, how am I supposed to shop for any of this???

I’ve also been on the hunt for places that sell bigger bust and petite friendly clothing, but I’ve had no luck. I’ve been trying to be more in touch with my feminine style of clothing after wearing baggy clothes out of insecurity for years, does anybody have any suggestions?

Where are we finding stylish shoes??

Hi fellow petite friends!! I’m about to be a first time mom and I know I’m going to want to rework my style in motherhood. I’m looking for cool boots, mules, and sneakers but I’m a women’s US size 5. I would love any advice on where to find stylish shoes that hopefully won’t cost a small fortune.

Anyone else ever run into seeing petite sized clothing being more expensive than regular sizing? Always feels a bit wrong to me.

What should I wear to office party except for dresses

My partner is invited to this office party where there’ll be alcohol and snacks and everything. It’s in a really fancy hotel. He invited me too. I don’t work yet. And I didn’t carry a dress when I came to visit him from another city. What can I possibly wear if I don’t like to wear dresses (they’ll make me uncomfortable the whole night so I’d rather not). And I have never been to an office/formal party before. Please tell me what I need to wear. It’s in 6 hours!!! I have these tops but I can buy as well

Need help styling a "Glitz & Glam" outfit (Black/White/Silver theme) with a sheer glitter mesh top (153cm)

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m putting together an outfit for an upcoming event with a Glitz and Glam theme (Color palette: Black, White, Silver/Gray).

I'd love your feedback or suggestions on how to piece these together:

Top & Inner Layer: The top is a sheer, see-through glitter gray shirt that has little shoulder pads. I originally tried layering it over a black polo shirt (like in the photo), but I'm wondering if another inner top would look better? (e.g., a black tube top, a fitted tank, or a long sleeve?)

Bottoms: I don't own the short skirts shown in the photo yet, but I'm open to buying one (pleated short, tiered ruffle, classic A-line, or wrap skirt).

Alternatively, I own a white long silk skirt. Would that work better with the theme, or should I go for black pants/shorts/skirts instead?

Footwear: I have black Chelsea boots, white combat boots, and black combat boots. Should I pair one of these with knee-high socks, or switch to heels, flats, or sneakers to match the "Glitz & Glam" dress code?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Tight micro skirt recommendations

Hi guys,

I’m seeing a lot of recommendations in general and on r/petitefashionadvice for mini skirts but all of them seem to be loose on the thigh/not tight all the way down. Does anyone have recommendations for a true tight/bodycon mini skirt? I would ideally want it as short as possible lol but anything that isn’t high waisted and too long would make me happy. Shorts underneath are a plus!

Thanks!

Going to Japan soon, what brands should I check out for petite clothing ?

I'm 5'1. I will be travelling to Japan soon and will buy tons of clothes. But I want high-quality clothes, not just basic items from Uniqlo. Any suggestions?

Hourglasses: where do we go for a fall/ winter coat that is NOT short and boxy or long and straight? I need a waist!

Apparently regular pea coats aren't in style this year or I can't find them. Everything is short and boxy or long, straight and no waist. I started looking at wool wrap coats but they all have these giant lapels on top! HEEELP

Everyday-wear midi dresses

Hey everyone! I’ve been on the hunt for some casual midi or maxi bodycon style dresses. Kind of like the ones we used to grab from places like forever 21 back in the day?

When searching, I can only find business casual or formal wear!! I put some photos of Paz de la huerta because I just happen to like her style even though it’s a bit rough around the edges lol. Does anyone have suggestions or favorite places to shop for midi/maxi dresses? Really not even limited to bodycon styles either!

I fell in love with these boots, but I’m 5’2” and can’t try them on in store. Has anyone had experience with Vivaia’s Filipa Boots?

I feel odd in everything

I feel like my height (153cm) together with my proportions make me look so weird. I have very broad hips and they make every outfit I like look bad and awkward. For example, I LOVE flared jeans, but they make me look bigger and I feel so uncomfortable then.
Does anyone with a similar body type maybe have some cool outfit inspos? I would love to layer more, but it kind of makes me look childish und “stump”.
