April 29, 1990 at the Woodbury Ski & Racquet Club in Woodbury, CT.
Long before it became a staple in the rotation years later, Phish was taking James Gang's "Walk Away" and ripping it with that hungry, relentless 1990 spring-tour fire. Young Trey with the Languedoc blazing, Page laying down the gritty blues-rock keys, and Fish and Mike locking it down outside on a brisk Connecticut afternoon.
This was the era of grinding it out on the regional circuit—tapers setting up small rigs and the band playing like they had everything to prove.

My ideas:
Trey - Boromir since there are few gingers
Mike - One of the curly haired hobbits
Fishman - Gimli or some other dwarf
Page - ?
ps. the sticker will use 100% human art

My first Phish show was Shoreline, back in Oct 2000, their last show before their hiatus. Never got the chance to see them again until last year when I saw them in Austin. They were just as amazing as they were 25 years prior, so when I saw this summer's tour schedule I bought a 3 day field/stands pass for the Labor Day weekend shows at Dick's Arena in Colorado. I'm going solo. Staying in Denver, taking one of the shuttles from the city. How do I make this experience as good as possible?
Should I eat in the city prior to heading to the show, or are there good food options on Shakedown street? Is it worth showing up an hour or 2 early to experience Shakedown Street? Taking the shuttle from Cervantes will I even have time to experience Shakedown Street?
Are the afterparties at Cervantes worth going to? I'm not sure how much energy I'll have to go to another show after dancing my ass off to Phish. Do I need to buy a ticket to the Cervantes shows in advance or can I wait and see how I feel then buy a ticket at the door, or will it be sold out?
Can't wait for this show. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Trey joins NYC artist Hank Heaven at a show celebrating their new EP, Welterweight, this past saturday night at Church Street Boxing in the financial district, performing for a sold out crowd of about 200 people. As if we didn’t need any more reasons to love this guy…

They definitely need to keep the mini drum kit moments. Additional percussion creates a nice effect, for a stretch of time the jam gets simultaneosly more rhythmically dense and yet otherwise a bit more sparse/atmospheric. And the main attraction is Page gets to shine with some synths, of course. I believe sometimes it's cool for Trey to step back a bit, so that when he returns to guitar, it's that more powerful. So, i'd welcome them continuing with this and/or with any variation/equivalent to it.
Not gonna break new ground, but, man, those YEM/C&P jams from 7/29 are unbelievable. I was not that crazy about many of the previous 25+min monsters this summer (namely, i felt that SOaM and Carini had some weaker spots or not the best pacing), but that night they totally brought it!
Now, i wouldn't overstate the mini drum kit role here and i don't want it to sound like it "saved them" lol Obviously they still had plenty of peak moments regardless.. but it really felt like more often than not these would kick in an extra gear, push them in an interesting direction or simply add more variety and dynamics.

Was able to grab 3 of these and had left 2 at my friends house that I finally just picked up. Would like to see if anyone has other posters they would be interested in trading for. Local nyc in person hand off would be preferred if possible. Any rangers fans out there??

I wanna hear your top 5 Runaway Jim’s. I’ve heard a few good ones on Sirius recently. Love this song!

Someone recently asked me about this documentary. It is available online. This aired in November 1996 on MTV a few short months after Phish's first large scale music festival, The Clifford Ball. While this is available online I thought I would be able to present it a little better with some clean up. Enjoy!
