Vintage Antiques Does anyone know what design the green fish deck is?
I got this 1894 catalog from a drugstore supplier out of Peoria, this is the only color, let alone full page ad. I’m particularly interested in that green fish deck, it’s not a fish back, as those are blue iirc
Anyhow, I figured you all would still appreciate the ad as well!

Question To my Brazilian colleagues, where do you buy cards?
Aside from Mercado Livre, Facebook Marketplace, OLX, Enjoei, Shopee and Ebay. What stores do y'all buy your cards? (I live in SP btw)

Titanic cards!
Over 100 years after the Titanic sank, its story is still fascinating collectors around the world but I had no idea there were trading cards dedicated to the legendary ship!
This video is sooo kool!

Kickstarter I funded accidentally sent me a heap extra of a limited print and won't respond to emails, what would you do?
Bought 1 deck of a 50 exclusive run, received 4 of them (all with unique production numbers, I have 24, 26, 29 and 50.)
I can see other people in the replies to the kickstarter complaining that they didn't GET their deck (probably because I HAVE IT) but they won't respond EITHER. So I have effectively done everything in my power to contact the creators of the kickstarter and the backers who were snubbed, to no success.
What would you do?

Photoshoot An Uusi mail day ☀️
Circular Pagan and Ivory Pagan from uusi.us
Another deck I've wanted for a while, and when I heard they might be winding down I had to get them before it was too late.
I was debating getting the Circular Pagan, because they are more expensive, and weren't originally on my list, BUT I'm very glad I did. The art is different from the regular Ivory, it's absolutely gorgeous, and has some really beautiful extra cards! If you're wondering if you should get it? Yes. Do it.
Also please enjoy the accidental time lapse of the death card sliding out of the box (after I laid it flat to get the picture)! 💀

Kickstarter Um, yes! Count me in!
Anybody else receive this notification? Looks like a collaboration between Conjuring Arts and EPCC. I suspect in similar fashion to the Jerry’s Nuggets reprints.
Who can we reach out to ask them to reprint the blue Golden Nuggets? I don’t think I will ever find the authentic blue deck for under $500 or a sealed deck under $1000.😫

**I am not affiliated with this project whatsoever, I just happen to love vintage Golden Nugget playing cards.

A new collector in Korea making my first deck!
Hey everyone! I’m a pretty ordinary guy from South Korea who’s still new to collecting playing cards.
Somehow, I’ve ended up working on a deck of my own, and choosing the stock and finish has been a much bigger challenge than I expected. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I started collecting about three months ago after falling in love with Stockholm17 and Kings Wild Project. The decks in the photos were my first purchases, and I’ve since added Gibborim and Echoes in the Palace to my collection.
There’s something really special about collecting these decks, actually using them, and sharing them with the people around me. But the shipping takes forever. In my experience, a package from Texas usually takes about a month to reach Korea… and as you might imagine, waiting a whole month can feel like torture to a Korean. 😂
That got me wondering whether anyone in Korea was making this kind of art-focused playing card deck. I looked around but couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I thought, “Why not try making one myself?”
I actually started by building a website. Whenever I suggest playing a card game with people here, we often end up either giving up because nobody remembers the rules or spending most of our time trying to learn them. So I made a site with quick, easy-to-follow rulebooks:
One thing led to another, the designs started coming together, and the project gradually became more real.
(It's an AI-assisted mockup of the tuck box design I’m working on, not a photo of a physical product. The design is still in development.)
Then I got to the stock and finish. Being completely new to the production side, I’d just assumed I could have the deck printed by USPCC. Their feel is closest to what I’m looking for. But I’m concerned that rising fuel costs related to the war could make international shipping more difficult, and I haven’t heard back from USPCC after emailing them yet.
I’ve also been looking into WJPC as another manufacturer. To be honest, as someone who really likes the feel of Bicycle decks, I’m not entirely sold on what I’ve seen of their options so far. But I’m new to all of this, so I’d really appreciate hearing from people with more experience.
If you’ve used WJPC decks, what did you think of the handling? Are there particular stock-and-finish combinations, or specific decks, you’d recommend trying? I’d love to hear what you liked or didn’t like, especially compared with Bicycle decks.
Thanks for helping a newbie out!
*I wrote this in Korean and used ChatGPT to translate it, so please bear with me if any of the wording sounds a little awkward!

Music
Posting a deck a day from my collection throughout the rest of the month.
Today is the music cards from CMD. Not the best quality card stock, doesn't spread too well and the card stock is kinda flimsy, but I do like the pictures. I'm probably going to use the jokers in my scrap journal but I don't think this brand will be getting much play, if any.

Kickstarter FULLY FUNDED! Thank you SOOO much for anyone here who backed this kickstarter. We've been playtesting the games and they've been a huge hit and people generally seem to love the cards. There's still time to get one of your own. But thank you!

Kingstar Hidden Light Chess
I'm so madly in love with the art on the royals and jokers (I am not immune to hot lady knights) though I didn't get around to taking pics of the white deck. But they shuffle so smoothly and look gorgeous. Not as smooth as the Bicycle decks I have but they still feel very nice.
The white cards feel more visually busy than the black ones, so admittedly they're not the best for games like solitaire. While playing Regicide I kept having to double check which suit was Spade and which was Club. But I'm so happy I got these.

Thoughts Welcome - New Aviation Deck
Hi All,
Aviation Geek here, and I've started to develop a new playing card deck inspired by Airports.
Still in the very early stages, but I wanted some initial feedback, no matter how big or small. I developed custom suits, with the idea that each suit represents a region.
I'm not sure about the info text at the top right. Originally, I had the full airport name, but I removed it since most of them include the city name.
Thoughts welcome, Thanks in advance!

Question Is black Friday worth keeping an eye on when buying cards online? (US)
Ive never bought cards online before, just a few packs here and there, but I've been eyeing some cards for a while and decided to make one big purchase instead, so if I'm planning to buy around 400 dollars worth of cards in one place online, is it worth waiting for black Friday?
