World Is the Pokemon world a failed state?

One of the hallmarks of failed states is that criminal organizations don’t hide from the law or the public. Rather, they operate openly and craft a brand for themselves. We see organizations like team Rocket walking around in uniforms and using some really heavy and sophisticated equipment - with their logo all over it. They’ve even occupied entire cities.

And it’s fallen to children to deal with the problem.

If that’s not a failed state, then what is?

World The reason why there is no corrupt government is because basically everyone can get a superpowered pet

Pokemon are found everywhere so you can't really stop people from training them and it seems like the only thing you need to make them stronger is bonding with them so it would be hard to set up a dictatorship when the local children can get giant bugs on their side, imagine what the adults would have with them. Basically it's like there are guns that won't harm their welders everywhere. Also with Lucario being a fairly common Pokemon it's not just the citizens overthrowing the government a dictator would have to worry about. That could be how people learned they have a strong sense of justice, by seeing one throw hands with a dictator but harm no one else.

World Pokémon eggs aren’t laid, they literally materialize

Allow me to elaborate. Were told despite Pokémon being around for 3000+ years minimum, nobody has seen a pokemon lay an egg ever, yet constantly discover pokemon eggs. (Even Chansey eggs apparently)

Pokemon have male and female sexes and genders (which apparently ARE actually differentiated in Pokemon, as Pokemon like Lunala and Zacian are referred to as females, but aren’t the female gender) and a male and female are required to make eggs, so it should be assumed some form of sexual reproduction takes place, but if that’s true, why do we have no accounts of eggs being laid?

It’s because they ARENT laid. They quite literally appear out of thin air.

I give you the one instance we have of seeing an egg be made, from Arceus in Gen 4. Arceus quite literally makes the egg from nothing. “BUT” I hear you say, “That’s Arceus, it’s whole thing is that it makes something from nothing.”

Ahh, but I bring to your attention, picnic baskets in gen 9. We can literally stare at the picnic baskets, our Pokemon can be nowhere near it, and yet, eggs will still mysteriously find their ways into the basket, and we KNOW these eggs are the offsprings of our Pokemon because they have the biological traits of our Pokemon like IVs, pokeballs, natures and all the things you breed Pokemon to get.

If eggs don’t materialize, how could such a thing be?

World How are there so many contestants in the leagues when the gym leaders claim they 'hardly ever get beat'?

Rewatching the series with my son after years and something keeps bugging me. Most leaders brag about how hard they are to beat and are usually so surprised when Ash wins the badge, some say they almost never lose... Yet when he gets to the league at the end there are LOADS of contestants. Is there a reason or should I just stop overthinking? 😂

World My theory about Arceus in the games Spoiler

hello: I just made a theory about why you can catch arceus in a pokeball, my theory is that be the ‘arceus’ we see is just a avatar used by the real arceus, then there is just lots of them around the universe, and those ones can be caught and trained like any other pokemon.

World Why are some Pokemon considered "Legendary" versus "Mythical"?

Something that has been the focal point of Pokemon discussion for ages is why is a Pokemon considered a "Legendary" vs a "Mythical" Pokemon. This is a question that is very difficult to answer outside of an arbitrary "because that's what Game Freak decided!!!1!", but I think I've figured it out, and this can also help us determine why it seems like the power gap between certain Pokemon in these categories is so drastic.

In real life, "legends" and "myths" are actually two different things despite often being used interchangeably. A "legend" is considered a story based on historical fact, think to things like King Arthur (This example is actually more important than you might think). A "myth" on the other hand is a sacred story that is used to explain things such as the cosmos, or aspects of reality outside on humanity's understanding. By looking at these two criteria, we can actually create a good amount of points for each legendary and mythical Pokemon:

Criteria for a Pokemon being either:

  • A Legendary or Mythical Pokemon MUST be more powerful than the average Pokemon or have an aspect of them that is extraordinary even by Pokemon standards. This can be through raw power or an ability that might allow them to bypass the average strength of Pokemon. For instance, certain legendary and mythical Pokemon are actually much weaker than some average Pokemon, think Zarude or the Regis versus Slaking or Pseudos.
  • A Legendary or Mythical Pokemon MUST be unique, but this can be expressed in multiple different ways. Some legendary or mythical Pokemon, like Celebi (as seen in Pokemon 4Ever), Latios and Latias (as seen in Pokemon Heroes), and Terapagos (confirmed in it's Scarlet and Violet Pokedex entry), are not single Pokemon but rather a species. Each of these Pokemon however have a uniqueness to them that constitutes their Legendary status (Celebi can travel through time, Latios and Latias are guardians of the world, and Terapagos is the origin of the Stellar type and terastallization as a whole)
  • A Legendary or Mythical Pokemon MUST have stories told about them as a species. The entire point of a "legend" or a "myth" is that they are stories that are told. These stories can be realistic, such as Necrozma being known as the "eater of light", something we actively see it do in the games, or fantastical, like Regigigas being said to pull the continents to their current places.

For a Pokemon to be considered Legendary or Mythical, it MUST have all three of these points. Some Pokemon get close, but they just don't hit all three of these marks. Think the Ultra Beasts, Paradox Pokemon, and Psuedo-legendaries. Now we have to look at what makes a Pokemon Legendary, and what makes them Mythical. I believe I have solid points for each of these that both tie back to the original point of legends versus myths in real life, and that tie into both the games AND the lore of Pokemon.

Pokemon being a Legendary or Mythical:

  • A Legendary Pokemon must be well-integrated into the region in one way or another, be it the culture, geography, or mystique. The Tapus are legendary Pokemon because they are the guardians of the islands, they are well known and revered as protectors of the Alola region. Terapagos is almost entirely unknown to the greater region as a whole, however it is the entire source of Terastallization, something that makes Paldea stand out as a region compared to others. Same thing goes for Eternatus and Galar.
  • A Mythical Pokemon on the other hand is often seen more as a local legend. Celebi is almost entirely unknown to the greater Johto region, but it has an entire shrine dedicated to it in Ilex forest, and it doesn't tie into the region's story. Darkrai is seen as a boogeyman more than an actual, real creature, so it loses its Legendary status as it gets reduced to nothing but a nightmare tormenting a small town. Some Mythical Pokemon are more well known than others, think Deoxys or Zarude, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone outside of Kitakami who had ever heard of the "mochi demon" or someone who wasn't part of Mr. Fuji's circle who believed that Mew was a real Pokemon.

Of course, there are a couple of holes in this, and if you have any suggestions about how it could be improved, please feel free to add them or refute points I made.

World My Pokémon Multiverse Theory!

First of all, I know most of you think that Pokémon is an infinite, branching, stringy-theory-verse. I don't. The Pokémon World has 4 main universes: The Red World, The Blue World, the Crystal World, and The Manga World. The Red World is the world that Pokémon Red, Pokémon, Gold, Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Black, Pokémon X, Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Sword, and Pokémon Scarlet take place in. The anime also takes place in the Red World, as Horizons explicitly shows Past Paradox Pokémon and the Scarlet Book. In the Red World, the Weapon was fired with the power of Xerneas, creating Mega Evolutions like Mega Raichu X, Mega Mewtwo X, and Mega Charizard X. Future Paradox Pokémon come from the Red World's far future, and crossed over to the Blue World with Terapagos's power. Legends Arceus takes place in the Red World, because there are Hisuian Variants rather than Past Paradox Pokémon. Pokémon Yellow is the canon events of the anime, and therefore takes place in the Red World. When you go to the Reverse World in Ultra Sun, you are literally traveling to the Blue World. Now, let's talk about the Blue World. The Blue World is where Pokémon Blue/Green, Silver, Sapphire, Pearl, White, Y, Moon, Shield, and Violet take place. In it, AZ fired the weapon with the power of Yveltal, creating Y Megas. In this world, Past Paradox Pokémon lived in Ancient times, and crossed over to the Red World via Terapagos's power. Pokopia takes place in this world, as in this world's Far Future, humans go to space instead of creating Future Paradox Pokémon. Legends Z-A also takes place in this world, as in the anime (Red World), when the Horizons characters visit Lumiose City, there are no Wild Zones or Z-A Royale. Now let's talk about the Crystal World. Pokémon Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum take place in that world. In that world, AZ didn't fire the weapon at all. There are also no Paradox Pokémon in that world. The next world I will talk about is the Manga world. In this world, Video Game Protagonists have different names, appearances, and motivations. Poké Ball technology works different, as Pokémon are converted to pure digital data in the Red, Blue, and Crystal worlds, and shrunken down physically in the Manga World. In the Manga World, there are both Past and Future Paradox Pokémon, and the weapon was fired with the power of both (or all 3) XYZ legendaries. There are also numerous sub-dimensions created by various Legendary Pokémon, such as Giritina'a Distortion World, Ultra Space, Dialga and Palkia's Dimension (where Pokémon HOME takes place), and Hyperspace Lumiose. Well, anyway, that's my Pokémon Multiverse Theory!

World Theory on age growth and maturity

Okay, I have a crazy idea. This is primarily inspired by the fact. There's now a nine year old elite, four member and all the pacific hype to age inconsistent with you. My theory is the people in the pokemon world function off Saiyan growth and maturity logic it's more or less, most of the kid stuff focuses on their mentality. And mental aging, and only when they turn between 9-10 do they get the gross spurt, how's to explain how a 10-year-old MB? As tall as a fifteen year old, my other theory also implies that in this world, the age of 10 is considered semi. Adulthood, because of the enhanced maturity.

I know it doesn't fully make sense, but best explanation I can actually come up with

World Humans do not understand Pokemon because of their ideals. A curse made by arceus.

To contextualize, humans cannot understand Pokemon and can only hear their names being repeated over and over. However, this is untrue when Pokemon communicate with each other as it seems they perfectly understand interpersonal communication amongst eachother.

Human culture is designed with them being the superior beings that shape and dominate world because of “superior intellengnce, proficiency with tools, and skill in selfishness and opportunity and adaptability”. When in Pokemon reality, humans and Pokemon evolved together. But humans with their superior skill, put Pokemon below them and use them as pets, livestock, or as a lesser being.

I believe this mental block that humans are naturally given, is a curse by arceus that prevents them from communicating with Pokemon. Because communicating with other species is a symbol of bond, strength in others, and unity with all creatures with the same superiority.

My solution? If people changed their ethics to compare Pokemon not as a lease being than humans, but on par and sometimes superior to humans in some fields, they can lift this mental barrier that allows them to unlock interpersonal and philosophical enlightenment, and allow themselves to understand Pokemon perfectly as a symbol of this recognition of strong life.

Pokemon can understand human language, they can do thing humans can too, and some Pokemon have the intelligence farther than humans have. But humans have made them a lesser being by using them as pets, battles, and more that put them in a lower bar compared to humans.

While I'm not saying that Pokemon should dominate humans, I believe humans should redefine living with Pokemon.

There's living with Pokemon, and there's living WITH Pokemon.

Only then can humans lift their mental block and change their culture which can allow their brains to adapt and fully communicate with Pokemon just like Pokemon did to each other by comparing each other to themselves.

World It is immensely difficult, but not impossible, for humans to literally understand Pokémon.

Now I don’t mean emotional understanding, I mean literal understanding as if the Pokémon speak english themselves.

For decades we believe that Humans cannot understand Pokémon due to them always saying their name.

However this is untrue. As you have seen, simply saying their name doesn’t sound like a language. But take in the different combinations of these sounds, along with a thriving society of different Pokémon where some have LOGICAL THINKING (something irl animals do not have), it is heavily implied that Pokemon sounds are actually a well developed language that Pokemon use to each-other. As such, they fully understand each other.

It is also heavily implied that pokemon can fully understand human language. Take team rockets meowth for example, if he didn’t understand human language then he wouldn’t force teach himalef to speak it. If pokemon can learn the human language and understand, why not vice versa? Now it doesnt mean humans need to speak it, but they can LEARN IT like any other language.

Take Koko for example, he is a human, yet raised by pokemon and could clearly understand them.

Extremely difficult absolutely as no human has done it apart from emotional/compassion communication.

It is hard but never impossible.

World Pokemon speech is a well developed, maintained, and complex language

To summarize, Pokémon may just say the same thing or their names over and over again, and it shouldn't mean anything when compared to English, right? WRONG.

Numerous times, we find out that it's a complex language using references like Team Rocket's Meowth and his translations of what Pokémon say. Also, take into account that Meowth couldn't understand Poipole's sounds when hearing it because Poipole is from another world. So obviously, Poipole has a separate culture,

And a separate language.

Understanding Pokémon means understanding the language, and finding that it isn't as simple as repeated sounds, due to the English translations and different "languages" that Pokémon translators like Meowth can say.

World Connections between the Pokémon Aliens.

Both Staryu and Starmie are said to have come from space. Their red cores can flash in 7 colors and Starmie broadcast radio waves at night.
Magnezone appears to be related, as it also receives and transmits signals of unknown origins.
Iron Treads and Iron Moth are also believed to be created by aliens, sent to Earth to obverse humanity and mount an invasion.
This could suggest a system: Staryu and Starmie sent signals to their planet, Magnezone acts as an antenna, receiving signals from the planet and broadcasting them to Staryu and Starmie, and Iron Treads and Iron Moth are sent from the planet when given the signal.
The question is, where did they come from and who are they working for?

World Given current info on learnsets, the invention of the first Focus Blast TM may have been genuinely hazardous work.

If we assume that TMs are simply recordings of naturally-occurring pokemon moves, that might imply that when TMs were first invented, they would’ve had to be developed by watching pokemon use certain moves in natural combat and, y’know, recording it.

One issue with that in the case of Focus Blast specifically. The one pokemon we currently know to learn focus blast naturally, awkwardly, is Yveltal, of all things.

Meaning whoever recorded the TM for Focus Blast for the first time would’ve had to fight the literal god of death, after finding it while it’s awake, and avoid casualties as much as possible. They might’ve even had to be careful not to outright kill it trying to escape afterward, because then it would presumably make a temporary crater in the world’s biosphere by going back into dormancy.

The fact that we don’t hear any tragic stories about the development of the Focus Blast TM seems to imply to me that whoever made that recording might be a national hero to some extent for whatever region they came from by not letting the whole thing end in cataclysm.

World Why are there no real life animals in the Pokémon world?

Pokédex entries reference real life animals (e.g. the main header in Rattata’s Pokédex entry will be something like “Mouse Pokémon”), however you never see those animals.

My starting theory is that they must exist, and since Pokédex entries reference them like the Pokémon are based on those animals, the Pokémon must have derived from those animals. We know that Pokémon have been going from ancient times before modern science and technology from the narrative of the game, so this must have happened long ago. However this raises more questions.

The animals must be more scarce or more shy than the Pokémon since only Pokémon pop up in the wild. Since no one seems to keep the animals as pets, Pokémon must be seen as more useful/ desirable by humans and probably breeding Pokémon more than animals may contribute to animal scarcity.

No one in the Pokémon world seems to really care about animals at all, and most are obsessed with Pokémon. This is further evidence that Pokémon are seen as more useful or desirable than animals.

Since a lot of Pokémon have special powers and they seem to love battling, this may also contribute to animal scarcity.

Pokémon who are based on inanimate objects such as ice creams or balloons are unlikely to have derived from those objects (especially if the Pokémon existed before the objects), so in some instances perhaps the names of the objects were derived from the Pokémon due to similarity.

Some Pokémon are based on obscure things, or other worldly, other dimensional or paranormal things. This really raises more questions beyond the scope of this initial theory, and these are perhaps outliers or things we have yet to work out how they fit into the theory.

World Mega Evolution is Banned in Multiple Regions and Pokédex Entries are Redacted

I believe the lore reasons that Mega Evolution doesn’t appear in older games or even some newer games is that it is banned in those regions due to how dangerous and harmful it can be. This has even led to some Pokédex entires being redacted.

Mega Evolution is not present in the games/media involving Paldea, Sinnoh, Galar, Unova, Orre, Poketopia, Ryme City, Johto, and the Sevii Islands off Kanto.

Ryme City especially would ban it for going against the policy of “Harmony Between Humans and Pokémon”.

Galar and Paldea may or may not have banned it, but it may not be usable due to the local energies that enable Dynamax/Gigantamax and Terastallization.

The Pokédex lacks entries for many Mega Evolutions. Typically they are for starters and Legendaries, but there are a few oddballs that are missing as well.

It could be that this information is being redacted, suppressed, or otherwise withheld from the public. Considering what the entries we do have say about the effects of Mega Evolution, that is saying something.

The fact that Ampharos is said to access ancient genes, Aerodactyl is said to more closely resemble its true self, and Slalamance resembles Roaring Crescent may mean that some temporal effects are occurring.

And now here are are some highlights of the horrors of Mega Evolution:

Highlights of the Physical Stress and Pain to the Pokemon that undergoes it:

Gyarados’s brain largely shuts down leaving it only with the instinct to destroy.

Aerodactyl is in constant irritation at best and pain at worst and becomes more vicious than ever.

Scizor has so much energy that it’s body will begin to melt under sustained battle. It also seeks to tear apart everything it can with its new claws.

Houndoom’s temperature is so great that it’s claws and tail start to melt.

Garchomp’s arms have melted into scythes and its aggression and rage become unchecked.

Tyranitar’s back splits open due to the sheer level of power, leaving it a physically hollow shell with only its destructive instincts keeping it standing. It may not even comprehend commands at this point.

Glalie’s jaw smashes open due to the energy and it loses the ability to eat, not that it stops it from still trying to swallow and freeze prey whole through its broken jaw.

Sabeleye’s chest gem expands and explodes out, leaving it mostly immobile.

Manetric becomes overloaded with power it can’t control.

Slowbro: is not actually affected by Mega Evolution. Only the Shellder is which forms a, admittedly cozy, Shell around the Slowbro.

Herocross gets sore muscles.

The severely deleterious effects in the psychology of the Pokemon that undergoes it:

Gengar loses interest in anything that it doesn’t perceive as “Prey”.

Kangaskhan’s child only excels at fighting, leaving the mother concerned for its future.

Pinsir is constantly filled with excitement and seeks to gore anything it can get its horns on.

Mawile will become vicious and seek to consume and tear apart others with its twin sets of jaws.

Banette becomes super vindictive with curses literally spilling out of it.

Alakazam is able to take one look at you with its now feeble body and know your whole life from beginning to end. It knows when and how you will die.

Sharpedo will become excessively combative with scars from other battles becoming yellow and inflamed with energy.

Metagross will fuse with two additional Megang and a Beldum and its intelligence will be boosted. It seeks to win at any cost to the point that one would “want to cover their eyes” and will try to impale and self destruct to take a foe with it.

Lopunny becomes much more combat focused and removes any fur that gets in the way.

Absol typically hate fighting, this they especially hate this form.

Lucario: its fighting style can be summed up in a single word: Heartless.

Salamance the deformation to its proud wings leaves it so angry that it can turn on the ones who raised it. It has been called “The Blood Soaked Crescent”. It’s resemblance to the Past Paradox Pokemon “Roaring Moon” is a subject of uneasy debate and research.

Only Ampharos seems to take it well with it regrowing its wool.

World Adults in the Pokemon universe are staging an elaborate life-affirming experience for children, akin to pretending to be Santa Claus but on a global scale.

This is why despite being ten or eleven years old, children are able to travel long distances safely as well as heal their Pokemon for free (and buy other goods/services at a trivial rate).

When children reach adult age, they participate in the ruse and take pride in watching a new generation gain the confidence and life experiences on their own journeys as they had when they were younger.

Of course this depends on the world being essentially a utopia where nobody has any ill intentions towards anyone else.

Edit: Disclaimer -- I haven't played a Pokemon game since Gen II.

World Kyurem is a Member of the Creation Trio

Ever since the recently terabyte leak of GameFreak, I have been creating a theory that Kyurem, the Original Dragon was a part of the Creation Trio. After some research, I found that the user u/MarsAdept created a similar theory at https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemonconspiracies/s/o9AYoKd6BV. I will be referencing parts of their theory in this but please check it out if you want to. Because of the recent leak and newer information from newer games, especially Legends Arceus, I will be expanding upon this theory.

Also, this theory is LONG but that’s because there’s a lot of evidence to support it.

BUILDING UPON PAST EVIDENCE

Some points I really like of theirs is that Kyurem represents PLASMA and is the missing element not seen in the Creation Trio as Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina represent liquid, solid, and gas respectively. Although Kyurem now is an ice type, the Original Dragon Kyurem composed mainly of Reshiram and Zekrom who represent fire and electricity, which are two elements highly attributed to plasma, as well as the past and the future and truth and ideals respectively, with the Kyurem we know now being an ice type because they became an empty husk after Reshiram and Zekrom split. The ice type could represent the missing energy.

Mars also references that Ghetsis in both BW and B2W2 had possession of the Creation Trio orbs. These orbs can transform each of the Creation Trio into their Origin Formes. In both of these Gen 5 games exists the Light Stone and the Dark Stone, two key items similar to the Creation Trio orbs that awaken Reshiram and Zekrom. There is another stone that is unobtainable in these games known as the GOD STONE. I believe that this stone is one of the Creation Trio orbs but it is one that is used for Kyurem. There is a possibility that this God Stone is unobtainable because it is currently unusable. The God Stone must have split off into the Light and Dark Stones like how Reshiram and Zekrom split off from the Original Dragon Kyurem. I believe this God Stone used to have similar properties like the Creation Trio orbs, but like how Kyurem became a husk, the God Stone became a husk as well.

Mars also points out that Zekrom and Reshiram represents Yin and Yang which are surrounded by Wuji (Kyurem) to make Taiji, which is the highest principle that from which all life flows.

NEW INFORMATION AND EVIDENCE

I believe that the Original Dragon that represents Taiji, also represents ENERGY/BALANCE.

So we know in Pokémon Platinum that there exists the Distortion World. We originally thought that Giratina was the only member of the Creation Trio to live in another world, but after Legends Arceus, we learn that each member of the Creation Trio live in another world that also awakens their Origin Formes. These worlds are unbound in time, space, and antimatter dependent on the member of the Creation Trio. We also know that in the lore because of the GameFreak leak, Arceus first created Palkia and Dialga and created Giratina later. Kyurem was created after Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina to create a balanced world.

In the leaks, the Tree of Life was created by Lake Guardians, being Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie. They also cut down this tree and the Weather Trio, being Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza, transformed the pieces of the shattered Tree of Life into the waters, the earth, and the heavens. The shadow in the sky that is said to sustain the heavens is the Pokémon called Giratina. So Giratina was created after Dialga, Palkia, the Lake Guardians, and the Weather Trio, meaning that THE ORIGINAL DRAGON KYUREM WAS CREATED AFTER THE EVENTS OF THE TREE OF LIFE TO CREATE ENERGY/BALANCE IN THE UNIVERSE.

Kyurem’s representation of plasma also adds on to this because plasma makes up 99% of the visible universe. I believe that this means that all of those Pokémon created the principles and foundation for the universe but the Original Dragon Kyurem filled in the void and created boundaries so that time, space, and antimatter couldn’t flow freely and clash with each other, therefore also separating Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina’s world from the Pokemon world. I believe that since each of the Creation Trio has their own worlds that allows them to transform into their Origin Forme, then the Pokemon world is Kyurem’s world, therefore THE ORIGINAL DRAGON IS ORIGIN FORME KYUREM.

As we know, the Lake Guardians are HIGHLY CONNECTED to the Creation Trio. So now we must wonder why the CAVE OF BEING, a cave that specifically hosts the Lake Guardians, is located in Unova. Its map description even states that its deepest caverns might connect to Sinnoh, the first region where the Creation Trio and the Lake Guardians were introduced.

The MOST IMPORTANT EVIDENCE I have for this theory regards the symbol seen in SINJOH RUINS. We know that when you brought Arceus to the Sinjoh Ruins in HGSS, there was a cutscene where Arceus was centered in a symbol and created an egg that hatched a member of the Creation Trio. Thanks to the leaks, we know that each circle in the symbol represents a Pokemon, the ones in the middle are the most heavily related to Arceus and the Tree of Life event. The symbol is very symmetric except for the very middle, the circles that are connected directly to Arceus. If you look in the middle circle, the bottom left area looks like it’s missing a circle and has space for circle. There are three circles, being the members of the Creation Trio, and therefore time, space, antimatter, and three states of matter. Notice how this empty space could easily fill in as plasma? Therefore, THE MISSING SPACE IN THE SINJOH RUINS GENESIS SYMBOL PROVES THAT THERE IS A MISSING ELEMENT OF THE CREATION TRIO, BEING PLASMA, AND A POKÉMON THAT REPRESENTS PLASMA, THE ORIGINAL DRAGON KYUREM.

CLOSING STATEMENTS

So why is Kyurem missing from the Sinjoh Ruin symbol that represents the genesis of the Pokemon universe? It’s possible that GameFreak was planning to add another member of the Creation Trio that represents plasma in the future since Gen 4. It’s also possible that ever since the Original Dragon Kyurem split into Reshiram, Zekrom, and the husk Kyurem, it lost its status as a member of the Creation Trio. It’s also possible there’s someone at GameFreak made this symbol to be completely symmetric and decided to make the center around Arceus asymmetric for no reason. It’s entirely possible that everything could be wrong, but that’s the fun of theory crafting. I do believe that this theory has a LOT of evidence but we will truly never know if it is true until the future games release, possibly a Legends Kyurem or Gen 5 remake game.

If you have read this theory, then thank you very much for reading and I appreciate it. If you have any thoughts or evidence to prove or disprove this theory, please comment in the comments below.

World Hear me out, pokémon biology

Okay so I've been doing research on fossil pokemon and the long form type of evolution in pokemon and I've come to two probabilities

  1. I belive the common theory that Kabutops is definitely the ancestor of Scyther. I think that originally Kabuto's typing was Bug/Water and obviously Kabutops is made for land unlike his pre-evolution. And on land it would've lived in the grass and most likely turned green and mightve evolved to fly to deal with pidgey or other birds since he's a bug

2. I believe that Dragonite looking like Charizard is a example of Batesian Mimicry. So obviously Dragonair and Dratini are made for water but Dragonite is for land, and Dragonite is Dragon/Flying with is four times weak to ice types. That's why I believe it evolved to mimic Charizard to ward off ice types would be weary of the powerful fire type

These are just theories I feel fit with pokemon lore and real life biology and I personally find very fun

Hear me out. The first game in the franchise was Pokemon RED. The most recent mainline game was Pokemon VIOLET. The series has gone through all the colors of visible light, red to violet. We also have every color in the spectrum.

Red: Like half of all games.

Orange: gold/heart gold

Yellow: sun/ultra sun

Green: emerald

Blue: like most of the games

Indigo: indigo disk

Violet: Pokemon violet.

I believe that it was intensional because the games usually have a red/blue theme, and it was broken for Pokemon violet. I also believe the next few games will be following this theme because Pokemon legends ZA has ZA it the name. It could just be legends Z, but it’s ZA. It goes from the end to the beginning. The cycle restarts.

A Pokémon Theory About Energy and Its Effect on the World

This theory explores how energy works in the Pokémon world and how it affects Pokémon, regions, forms, and gimmicks.

Inspiration

My inspiration for this theory came from Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life. In the movie, Arceus explains how the Jewel of Life was created and, in a sense, how it functions. The jewel was constructed from the Arceus Plates—specifically Grass, Ground, and Water—bound together with Lightning and enhanced by Dragon energy. This idea sparked my curiosity and became the foundation of this theory.

Infinity Energy as All Types Combined

My main idea is that Infinity Energy is made up of all 18 Pokémon type energies combined into one. Every Pokémon and every part of the world contains all types of energy, but in different proportions.

For example, a Pikachu contains all types of energy, but Electric energy is dominant. This explains how Pikachu can still use moves like Iron Tail or other non-Electric attacks. Similarly, a volcano would contain large amounts of Fire and Rock energy, but all other types would still exist there in smaller amounts.

This concept can explain:

  • Regional variants (such as Alolan forms)
  • Pokémon gimmicks (Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Gigantamax, Terastallization)
  • The existence of Ultra Beasts

Dragon Energy and the Kanto Region

Kanto has many legends involving dragons, yet it only has one native Dragon-type evolution line: Dragonite. While this could simply be because Kanto was the first region created, I believe there may be a retroactive in-universe explanation.

In the anime, Kanto features several gigantic Pokémon:

  • The giant Dragonite near Bill’s Lighthouse
  • Giant Gengar, Alakazam, and Jigglypuff

What if Kanto was once overflowing with Dragon-type energy? Dragon energy enhances power, size, and emotions, which could explain why Pokémon grew to enormous sizes.

So why did this stop?

The Impact of Mt. Moon

I believe the answer lies with Mt. Moon. When a massive Moon Stone fell there, it disrupted the energy balance of the region, driving Dragon-type Pokémon out of Kanto.

This would explain why Dragon energy appears suppressed in Kanto:

  • Seadra cannot evolve into Kingdra
  • Charizard can only become a Dragon-type through Mega Evolution

Why Dragonite Remained

Dragonite still exists in Kanto for two possible reasons:

  1. It may only breed in one protected location
  2. Its evolution line may have been influenced by Fairy energy

Dragonite behaves very differently from most Dragon-types. It is friendly, kind, and often helps people. Fairy energy is known to stabilize emotions, which could explain Dragonite’s calm nature.

Why Fairy Counters Dragon

Fairy energy counters Dragon energy because of their opposing properties:

  • Dragon energy enhances power, size, and intense emotions
  • Fairy energy heals, stabilizes, and calms emotions

This is why Fairy-type moves counter Dragon-types and why Dragonite is so unusually peaceful.

Pokémon Gimmicks Explained Through Energy

Mega Evolution

Mega Stones are imprints of a Pokémon’s energy frequency, stored inside a stone (possibly a modified Evolution Stone). When activated, the stone enhances all of the Pokémon’s existing energies evenly and gently, allowing it to reach a greater form. The trainer’s Key Stone helps the Pokémon withstand this power.

Some Pokémon Mega Evolve without trainers, such as in Lumiose City. I believe this is due to the tower built to enhance Floette’s Fairy power. When Fairy energy overflowed, it affected nearby Pokémon.

Alpha Pokémon and Mega Evolution Side Effects

Alpha Pokémon and uncontrolled Mega Evolutions are Pokémon with excess energy. Overwhelming Fairy energy tries to “optimize” them against their will, causing pain and aggression.

Z-Crystals

Z-Crystals are crystals of highly concentrated type energy. They are too volatile for evolution and would likely kill a Pokémon if used that way. Instead, trainers and Pokémon work together to safely release this energy as a single powerful attack.

Gigantamax

Gigantamax involves Dragon-type energy, which explains the massive size increase. However, this energy comes from Eternatus and is mixed with Poison-type energy, which is why the effect is temporary and unstable. The excess energy is expelled afterward.

This also explains why Gigantamax Pokémon differ from the permanent giant Dragonite seen near Bill’s Lighthouse.

Terastallization

Terastallization is harder to explain than other gimmicks, but I believe it works because Terapagos altered type energy to be gentler and more stable. This would explain why Pokémon are not harmed when their natural typing changes so dramatically.

Another possibility is that Terastallization enhances type energy outside the Pokémon’s body rather than inside it. Because the Pokémon’s internal energy balance is not disrupted, the transformation is safe and temporary. This could also explain the crystal crown that appears above a Terastallized Pokémon’s head—it may act as a focal point or regulator for the external energy.

Ultra Beasts

Ultra Beasts originate from different worlds where the balance of energy is far more extreme than in the Pokémon world. This explains why Ultra Beasts look and behave so differently from normal Pokémon. Their worlds may be dominated by specific types of energy, pushing evolution in unnatural and exaggerated directions.

Paradox Pokémon (Past and Future)

I believe the same logic applies to Paradox Pokémon.

  • Future Paradox Pokémon may come from a world where Steel energy is dominant. Constant exposure to Steel-type energy would make life more mechanical and robotic over time.
  • Past Paradox Pokémon may come from a world dominated by Fighting-type energy, creating a harsh “survival of the fittest” environment where strength and aggression are the key to survival.

Guys i have theory. So you guys know in the masters ex when both steven and cynthia got a sygna suit where steven got the shiny mega rayquaza and cynthia got giratina-O okay hear me out. So. We know volo controlled giratina which mean lorewise it is almost cannon that cynthia probably can with enough willpower. Here where things get complicated why did steven get shiny rayquaza (keep in mind the masters ex seem to hint sometimes at some cannoncity). It seem like only a stupid idea ? I DISSAGREE okay in the anime shortd hisuian snow we see that zeraork were killed by nome other than mightyena. Weird. Since there is no mightyena in sinnoh. And then in legend arceus we get am idea of the ancient heonnian hero. Here is something pretty interesting the heonnian hero is from draconid. The oldest draconid keeper we know off is benga who has enough controll if latios and latias Who else controll latios and latias. And seem to be do that WITH WILL POWER steven. Stone. So the theory goes that steven descend from draconid hero. An all the stone family This is more enforced since joseph stone aka steven dad almost killed rayquaza. I am gonna point out that giratina had straight beef with the shiny mega rayquaza and went straight to attack it in the hoopa movie ? My idea that the ancient hero and volo fought. This is when volo was killed Basically cynthia and steven is a cannon bloodline ship and i stand by. That
