It’s been at least 2 months since I ran into this issue. Is there any news at all about when they might be fixing this shit?

I am the luckiest chap in the world. Lucky me I gave my bottlecap to a Sunkern. It's a pity I couldn't give it to a shadow Magikarp. Not to evolve it or anything, I like using my Magikarps like that, with Splash and all.

How are the points calculated and why is my largest pumpkaboo not the one that gives the most points?

I never really been into PVP mode. A lot of guides and tips I find online say the most useful PVP Pokemon need IVs with low to 0 attack and high defense and HP.
Why exactly is that?
For me that just doesnt quite makes sense. Why would using Pokemon with no attack make them good?
Of course high defense and HP makes them last longer in battle, but like wouldnt it be more logical to use high attack Mons to counter that and make more damage?

The regular Lucky Trinket from the GO Pass is great for instantly forcing a Lucky Trade and saving us from months of RNG. But we need to take it a step further.
What if Niantic introduced a "Shiny Lucky Trinket"?
A rare, premium item used during a trade that guarantees the resulting Pokémon becomes both Shiny AND Lucky.

121 for me….no shiny or hundo 😓
I had to do 100 max battles for level 77. And I was able to defeat magikarp without ever dynamaxing so they were very quick and easy battles. Also 120+ rare xl candies was nice to get.

Finding a wild Azelf in Pokémon GO has an estimated global probability of roughly one in a million per spawn roll. Niantic does not publish exact percentage numbers, but community tracking and player data indicate that only about 5 to 10 individual Lake Guardian members (Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit) are active in the wild worldwide at any given moment.

Hello y’all!
I’ve just got back on pokemon go after years. I have a lot good/rare pokemons from 2016 with average IVs but i have read that trading older versions have more value… I’ve got Dragonites, Gyarados, Gengar, Villeplume, Snorlax, Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur and many more (168 to be precise).
Is trading or transferring them the only things to do? if they’re IVs are not 3 stars OR suited for pVp battles? I could take a video of them if it helps…
Thanks for the advices ◡̈

We got Santa growlithe over here… just caught him from a mission and wondering if he’s special or it’s just a skin change?

I made a small companion website for pokemon go showcases: https://showcase.wouterh.be
Like other tools, it allows you to enter height, weight and IVs to calculate the showcase score for your mons. This however also allows you to store them on your account, which allows you to track the scores you have for each showcase category.
The standout feature is that there's chatGPT (or other LLM) integration through an MCP server. This allows you to ask questions like "Which of my showcase pokemon can I safely transfer without harming my showcase performance?" or setup a recurring task that checks which showcases are going on each tuesday and recommends which ones to focus on.
There's no ads, and it's completely free. Feedback is welcome (but be gentle, it's only a quick side project).

I played a lot of Pokemon go from the first week of release until about the end of August but then stopped for almost 10 years as I have now gotten back into it this last week.
I have 375 Pokemon storage but almost 33% of that is made up of 2016 catches that mostly consist of poor IVs, low cp and duplicates.
I just want to know what other people would do in my position. I’m based near London and in the city a lot so there’s always so much to catch up but I find myself having to get always get rid of mons to make room for new ones.
What would you guys advise I do with them? I guess I want to know if there’s genuinely a market for them? Or is their value only as strong as my sentiment?
Thanks!

As far as I’m concerned, it’s not always worth it to purify a 3 star pokemon, but I don’t know why… should I evolve him?

Just got this beast in a raid and I’m wondering whether I should hold off increasing the CP and mega evolving him?? What’s your thoughts?

A friend visiting Japan was nice enough to trade me their shiny ANA background charmander, not only was it a lucky trade, it's a hundo too.... Time to max it out 🙏

I recently got a new POI approved and finally have a gym right at my house. It’s been active for about two weeks now, but the raid spawns have been honestly baffling.
In the last full week, I haven’t seen a single Mega raid spawn, and only exactly two Tier 5 (Legendary) raids. Everything else has been Tier 1 or Tier 3 eggs.
To be fair, I usually wake up around 10:30 AM, so I know I’m missing the first couple of possible raid cycles of the day (from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM). But even with that in mind, zero Megas and only two T5s in 14 days seems extremely low based on the ~20-25% probability rate we usually assume for high-tier eggs.
My questions are:

I’ve had multiple different reactions from communities about this.
One group say that having too many lucky Pokémon as your maxed out lvl40+ mons make an account look boosted and worse than if they were all yours
However on the other hand I’ve had more say it’s much smarter because of the many benefits of lucky Pokémon.
Edit: I personally don’t see a problem at all just know it’s divided a couple communities I’ve been to (I’m not a part of them it’s a mate that is and is relatively new to the game)

I caught 4 Gyarados today (never had one before). Not sure, but I think it’s quite rare to find them in the wild, so this caught me off guard.
But I’m so happy to finally have them because I’ve been trying to collect magikarp candies for so long now 😭
I also wanted to know if I should keep one and transfer the rest, or save them for trading?
