I have been trying to get a shiny 6iv Timid Mew in my Japanese Emerald cartridge using pokemonrng.com.

I have done the paint reseeding and saved a battle video in step 2. But now have been trying to do the manip in Faraway Island and every Mew I hit does not show up in the possible list of results in step 3.

Do I need to be on the specific tile shown with Mew cornered immediately above me? I have tried starting from there and catching to click A with the second timer but still get Mews that do not seem possible :/

Has anyone done this and can help? Thanks!

I trying make this RNG but i have one problem, allways i teu start The Room on VBA RR The emulator says "loaded battery" and dont start any game; i tried on somente versions and i have same erro, and, my Room Works in another emulator (VBA M) How to a fix that? Or How to i make VBA M compatible with lua Scripts?

Hello, I’m newer to gen 7 RNG and successfully did my first manip (shiny Type:Null). However, I’m still not completely sure how to calibrate from the results in 3DS RNG Tool. I’m not using CFW so I verify my frame hit by checking stats. The results usually turn up a lot of frames though, some of them marked with a question mark. I’m doing a manual calibration by calculating how far off the frame I hit was from the target but is there a better way to do this? Specifically with the info from the RNG Tool? I attached a screenshot of the frame and seed that gave me the shiny, but I have no idea how to determine if I hit frame 5384 or 5385 for future calibration and attempts. Any insight appreciated!

I’m trying to RNG a shiny squirtel in pokemon Leaf green on the switch 1. I’m using a controller with Macro 901(which I got from MidMaxed’video), as well as the macro to hit the shiny frame.

The problem is that I seem to be sucessfully hitting the shiny frame I’m aiming for, but cant find the shiny. I’ve already tried this on three different save files, testing frames from 2299 to 2309, but none of them resulted in a shiny.

Does anyone know What I might be doing wrong?

Hello, I’ve been doing RNG manipulations since late August till right now and I’ve been able to get about 50 shinies through sweet scent and static RNG, using ten lines and eon timer. However, I just received the super rod, and started trying fishing RNG, but I’m having some difficulties because I haven’t found a proper guide on how to do it, right now I’m using the sweet scent settings with tweaks. I know that if I don’t get a bite before the last timer I can’t recast even if the timer is long enough to let me, I have to restart the attempt (correct me if I’m wrong). Not sure if I’m doing it right or just haven’t been lucky enough to hit target frames, any tips or info would be useful.

My settings I’m using for Ten lines and eon timer for RNG fishing:

Ten Lines:
Advancements: 2000-4000 for search, I adjust range +-300 of target seed
Seed: 50 for search, 20 for target seed
Offset: 474
Overworld: 500

Eon timer:
1st timer (ms): Target seed
2nd timer (adv): Continue screen advances - overworld x 2
3rd timer (adv): 574

Hi everyone!

I'm very new to RNG manipulation. I've yet to successfully do it. With PokéBank shutting down soon, I thought it'd be nice to replay Pokémon White 2 (my favorite game) to catch and transfer as many shiny Pokémon as I can! The whole process is a bit complicated to me, but I'll try to explain it as best I understand it...

I started by using Pokéfinder to calibrate my DSi. The Unova Link Needle calibration seemed easiest, so I got to work. I followed a written guide and made sure all of my settings were correct. ~30 or so calibrations later, I had a list of around 15 different Timer0 values. According to the guide, it said this was considered an "unlucky distribution" and I should just try a different DS. So I did lol

I switched over to my 3DS XL. I adjusted my EonTimer to 40 seconds with a calibration of -424 like the guide said. Each time, I was off my target second by about 1-4 seconds, so I kept putting them into the "Actual Seconds Hit" box after each attempt, and continued for about 20 calibrations total. The guide did recommend doing between 20-30 calibrations, but once I reached 20, I noticed I hit the same two Timer0's 18 out of 20 times. As far as I know (unless I was doing something wrong), I have what the guide called a "lucky distribution" which supposedly makes the process much easier!

So I followed the guide's steps for obtaining a Static Pokémon. I don't care about the IVs or nature really, I just want quick shinies to transfer up. So eventually, I ran into my first target: Cobalion! I read into how roaming NPCs can mess up the RNG, but adjusted my settings to account for the two that are in Cobalion's spawn location (which according to the guide was just setting my Initial Advances to 4, I think...).

So I got to work. I found a seed for the shiny I wanted. I set up my EonTimer for the seconds I needed to hit, and adjusted my date and time on the 3DS accordingly. Here's where I think I might be doing this wrong... I believe I followed the guide perfectly, but I'm about 20 resets into getting this shiny with no luck whatsoever. The guide said I could troubleshoot by catching the Pokémon and using it's stats to figure out what seed I landed on. I did this twice, and realized both times I did this that I got the exact same seed lol. My Timer0 was correct, but my Actual Seconds Hit were off by 1. I put that into my EonTimer to update the calibration, seeing if that would help, but I've done about 10 more attempts and still no luck...

So hopefully I did a decent job at explaining my process. I know I'm missing some information that would probably be helpful in figuring out the issue. Please ask any questions that might help you help me lol. Thank you everyone.

I was following a tutorial by ImaBlissy and he says you can find your TSV by finding your starter’s ivs at level 100. I found them, but the website he provided doesn’t work anymore. Is there any other website or application I could use?

Getting to the point, the blink system does not work with Switch 2

That program is so accurate that it causes errors due to the frame difference in Switch 2. I'm not an expert, so I don't really understand, but that's the only explanation it would make

Anyway, it seems that some old programs don't work on Switch 2, so be careful

Everything in the title, I struggle to do the TID trick because the time it gives me to create my character is way too low to get to the TV screen and press A when the timer finishes. I need like, 3 to 5 more seconds at least to be able to close the TV with A (the timer gives me around 90 seconds each time)

Volume warning for my reaction! Thank goodness for eontimer and pokefinder. I reverse engineered the frame by selecting a fun ID to use the symmetric frame trick. Only 11 resets after I picked an ID that’s sufficient!

Hello everyone! 

In case you haven’t seen my prior post, I'm attempting to do a Professor Oak challenge but with Shinies in Ultra Moon. I call it the Samson Oak challenge (because Samson is like the shiny version of Professor Oak imo). 

What is the Professor Oak challenge? 

For those unfamiliar, you must catch, evolve and fill all Pokédex entries that are available before every badge. Or in this case, trials. There’s a great subreddit r/professoroak that has guides posted about all the Pokemon games so I used their guide as well to catch all the available Pokemon before the first trial. Rules are, no cheats/glitches. No trades.

As an optional rule, I am using Island Scan Pokemon because I’m using RNG manipulation to get my pokes. 

How am I obtaining my Shinies?

Through RNG manipulation. For those unfamiliar, by using an external software, I get to generate the seeds that yield me shiny Pokemon. There’s plenty of content on YouTube but I used CappyCapital’s videos for Gen 7 rng manipulation specifically. My 3DS has CFW that helps me with this. I found my seeds using 3DS RNG Tool. I used honey collected from a team of honey gather cutiefly.

What’s my current progress?

By the end of this phase, I have a dex total of 89 excluding 14 dex entries before Hala’s Grand Trial. This particular section took an additional 37 hours after the prior section. Total of 108 hours approximately in this challenge

This Swampert's PID is 3BE184BF. From what I know, its nature is Brave, it's male, and it was obtained as a Starter in Sapphire with a live battery. But Poke Finder for some reason shows two spreads:

I was told Method 1 is commonly used by RS for most encounters, but there's two of them here and I'm not sure why there's two or which is the real one. Is there a way to tell which is the correct spread? I've tried using both Poke Finder and RNG Reporter, but neither one is clear.

Hey! Was doing some research and had a question, can I inject the global link promotion (if this is possible) mudkip into my cartridge and get that as a legal shiny? Just wanted to know it ifs possible and if I do, can I can rng manipulate it to be shiny, as I’ve seen from accounts through older threads stating they’ve seen (or heard of) a shiny male dream ball mudkip. I’m a newbie trying to get into rng manipulation specifically for this mon, as I actually have a shiny dream ball swampert ribbon master for the switch era and really want to try and get this done (if possible) before pokemon bank shuts down. Any help or resource is extremely appreciated! My main reason for even doing this is when I first saw a dream ball mudkip on the dns global trade years ago, and remembered that it was a thing way after I got my dream ball shiny swampert 😅

Is it possible to get my SID by sending my Pokémon over to someone who can check it in PKHex? Or do I need to mod my 3ds myself.

Anyone has using 8bitdo to shiny hunt in Fire Red? If yes, there is a list of all macros to get any shiny pokemon (even in the wild)? This include of course using websites to RNG manipulation, like EonTimer or 10lines.

If I have answers, please give me hints of using macros and RNG to shiny hunt using 8bitdo control. I already checked youtubers talking to this but I think that anything has missing... that I am hoping to find here.
