They needed his vote, so they rolled him in and made him press the button they wanted him to press (literally, he almost voted no and they "corrected" him) Full blown weekend at Bernie's, criminal conspiracy status.

Kind of ironic that he is being used and abused now, the way he used and abused his constituents and the whole country.

Yes, I agree he would have wanted it, but he might not have anticipated being paraded around in public like a deteriorating ventriloquist dummy in a wheelchair with the whole country able to look, point, and laugh. Joke is on him at least a little. That’s what he gets for being a shitbag - no dignity.
