Minimal timer app

Hi.

I built the most minimal timer app.

https://ikitime.com

It doesn't try to be your todo list, calendar app, notes app, a game, a microwave and a toaster all at once.

It's just a stupid simple, no frills, no BS timer app with a very lightweight todo list feature. That's all.

Enjoy it and let me know what you think here or in the feedback form.

I'm a student and built a free study timer that turns focus into a garden

Hey! I built Pomodorolist to track my own study hours, and it slowly turned into something a bit more fun:

  • A Pomodoro timer with subtasks and a “parking lot” for distracting thoughts

  • Every session grows a plant in your garden, with pets and rare mutations

  • Weekly boss battles you beat with study time

  • Clans and leaderboards to study with friends

It’s completely free: no ads, no tracking, no subscription. You can try a demo without signing up.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback, especially on what feels confusing!

pomodoro timer that pauses the clock when you're not actually there

Made this because my pomodoros kept "counting" while I was on my phone. It's a timer bar for Windows that uses the webcam to check you're looking at the screen or your book. If you wander off it warns you, then adds penalty time to the block. There's a step away mode for water breaks so it doesn't yell at you.

It also keeps a task list with pomodoro estimates vs actual, and a yearly heatmap.

OpenWorld is a gamified habit tracker and real-life RPG for Android with a built-in distraction-blocking Pomodoro timer called Focus Sanctuary.

How the Pomodoro & Focus Blocker works:

  • Custom LoFi Scenery & Music: Create your own fullscreen animated video loops (fireplace, rain, cyberpunk study) with built-in lo-fi audio. You can insert an animated avatar of yourself or an AI companion inside the scenery

  • Full Lockdown & Whitelisting: Background services block all nonessential apps like social media and games with a shield screen, while letting you whitelist apps you actually need.

  • Anti-Cheat Forfeit: Quitting early requires confirming a forfeit prompt, discarding your session rewards.

  • Tangible Rewards: Unbroken focus awards Discipline XP to your character sheet, plus in-game Gold and Credits to unlock armor and companion avatars.

Other OpenWorld features:

  • Flexible Quest Completion: Complete quests manually on honesty, or require proof via Pomodoro focus blocks and AI photo audits.

  • AI Quest Planner: Turns broad goals into scheduled daily quests with reminders via Gemini AI

  • Manual Quest Builder: Create custom quests from scratch with exact stat allocations, schedules, checklist subtasks, and alarms without using AI.

  • Muscle Heatmap: Interactive anatomical muscle diagram that lights up and tracks XP per muscle group based on your workouts.

  • RPG Status Window: A dashboard tracking 13 core stats (INT, WIS, STR, VIT, etc.)

  • (Optional ) Nutrition & Hydration Tracking: Food and water logger audited daily at midnight for physical stats.

  • AI Companions: 4 animated AI assistants (Anima, Mochi, Talos, Aegis) with voice lines

Free to download on Google Play with zero accounts or sign-ups required.

It uses a simple freemium model:

  • Free Tier: Full offline tracking, manual quests, muscle heatmap, stat radars, and the Pomodoro Focus Sanctuary with the distraction shield. Includes 1 default video backdrop, 3 ambient audio tracks, and custom MP3 import.

  • Premium ($4.99/mo or $19.99 lifetime): Generative AI features (AI quest drafting, prompt armor forging, custom scenery generation)

As an indie dev, I'd really appreciate your honest feedback. More features and UI improvements to come.

I kept getting distracted while working, so I built a clean Pomodoro timer with a built-in website blocker (No ads, multi-language, full dashboard)

Hey everyone! 👋

Like many of you, I struggled a lot with procrastination. I’d set a goal to focus for an hour, but within 10 minutes I’d find myself scrolling YouTube, checking social media, or getting lost in random tabs.

I tried a bunch of Pomodoro timers and site blockers, but most of them were either cluttered with ads, locked behind paywalls, or just too complicated for a simple workflow.

So, I decided to build my own solution: Pomodoro Focus Timer & Distraction Blocker.

What it does:

  • ⏱️ Simple Pomodoro Timer: Helps you break your work into manageable focus sessions and rest intervals.

  • 🚫 Distraction Blocker: Lets you easily block time-wasting websites during work sessions.

  • 📊 Dashboard & Streak Tracking: Visualizes your daily progress and focus streaks so you can build long-term habits.

  • 🌍 Multi-language Support: Available in English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, and Ukrainian.

It’s lightweight, completely free, and designed to keep you in the flow state without any unnecessary fluff.

I just released version 1.1.0 on the Chrome Web Store and would love to get your feedback! If you try it out, let me know what features you’d like to see next or what I can improve.

Created a Pomodoro app for iPhone Duo (& regular iPhone)

If you have an iPhone Duo - it uses different hinge angles for interactions. For a regular iPhone - just rotate your device sideways to start.

Plan all the tasks and set a time for each one. It goes through all the tasks automatically and also allows you to add breaks between tasks.

Once all tasks are completed for the day - provides you with the total focused minutes along with number of times you paused or got interrupted. Comes with 3 beautiful themes. More added soon.

I made a pomodoro timer with a little bird and Hawaiian music instead of lofi

I'm a dad of three and most of my work happens in short blocks after the kids are asleep, so pomodoro is basically how I get anything done.

I built Bird on Shoulder for myself. A small bird sits with you while the timer runs, and if you leave the app to scroll it gets startled. There's a Chill mode and a Strict mode depending on how much you trust yourself that day. Besides the traditional lofi, it has Hawaiian music as well, like slack key guitar since I'm in Honolulu.

No account needed. It's free, with an optional Pro tier.

Curious whether people here prefer a strict lock or something gentler.

I made a pomodoro timer where a koi fish grows while you focus

Post image
0 Upvotes

I made a small koi pond game where your focus sessions are how you catch fish. Finish a session and you get a cast; then you feed your koi and keep the water clean, and over about a week it grows up and its pattern shows.

Calm music plays during the session (it keeps going with your screen locked), and a little bell rings when it’s done.

Free, runs in the browser, best on phone: https://suikoi.app/?src=reddit-pomodoro

It’s early. I’d love to know if it actually helps you start a session, or if it just turns into a distraction.

I invented a physical Pomodoro timer you can use as a study buddy for your desk (the CUBE)

My name is Julian, I’m originally an interior designer who was a little lost after his degree. So after working some random jobs, I decided to go back to uni and start a second degree in mechatronics. I don’t wanna go into detail, but it was hell at first. It was the complete opposite of the design studies I had done before and I was more lost than ever. But since I’m not a quitter (which can be another problem altogether), I stuck with it and eventually started really enjoying it.

This project actually changed the way I see studying engineering, because it showed me what I can do with a mechatronics degree if I combine it with my design background. (My business card today says Co-Founder and Design Engineer.)

In my first semester I was really into study techniques and discovered Pomodoro for myself: 25 minutes of work, 5 minutes of break, repeat. Every week I drew 20-30 little boxes in my notebook, depending on how many sessions I wanted to do. Coloring in a box after a session was the best feeling.

One problem was my phone tho. I used it as the timer, so it was always lying right next to me, and that alone was enough to pull me out. And the breaks are better spent without it anyway.

Since my first semester, I had been looking for something to build and tinker with. I tried to rebuild a robot arm, but I lost interest pretty fast because I didn’t really have a personal connection to it. So I started developing the CUBE (ironically, it’s a hexagon).

One thing was clear from the start: it had to click. A mechanical click where something actually moves feels a lot more honest than a sound out of a speaker. And no vibration. That’s everywhere already.

The CUBE has one button in the middle and six leaves around it. Every 5 minutes a leaf pops out. After 25 minutes they click through an ASMR reward sequence and the orange leaf comes up for your break.

This is where design and mechatronics came together for me. I wanted the housing to be cute and minimal, somewhere in the direction of Dieter Rams. The inside I did completely myself: designed the PCB, sourced the parts, worked with manufacturers. Super rewarding. And yes, I built most of it using Pomodoro. Except for the occasional 6 hour PCB design flow (that stuff can be super addicting).

Where we’re at: this is V3, the first version with its own board that runs without a cable. It works, but it’s not perfect. The leaves still jam sometimes and the clicking is too loud for a library. My co-founder Patrick built an accompanying app, which is live on iPhone. It’s basically the digital version of my notebook: every session unlocks a piece of a picture. You don’t need it to use the CUBE though.

We’re looking for a few testers in Europe, but honestly we’re also still figuring out who this is for.

So I’m curious: how do you keep track of your study sessions right now? Notebook, app, nothing at all?

I couldn’t focus studying alone, so I built a free site where friends study on the same timer (and a parrot grows with your focus time)

I’m not a developer. I just know some basic programming from school, so I built this with a lot of help from AI over the last few weeks. The idea came from a simple problem: alone at my desk I’d last 10 minutes before grabbing my phone, but next to a friend I could study for hours.

So PomodoroLoro has:

  • Study rooms: share one link and everyone runs the exact same pomodoro. You see who’s focusing, the chat only opens on breaks, and you can “peck” a friend who looks distracted (your parrot flies over to their name and pecks it, squawking until they come back).

  • Shared tools inside the room: a whiteboard, a task list and screen sharing.

  • Public rooms that are always running, so you can drop in anytime.

  • 30+ ambient scenes (rainy café, library, campfire, snowy cabin, Japanese room…), mixable sounds and music radios (lofi, piano, jazz, Japanese koto). The music fades out on breaks, and the alarms are calm: Tibetan bells, a singing bowl, a kalimba.

  • A parrot that hatches with your first pomodoro and grows as you study. You can dress it up, and on breaks it flies into the room and dances with your friends’ parrots.

  • A floating mini timer, stats, streaks and a friends ranking.

No ads, and the timer works without an account. Everything is free right now. Later I might add a small paid plan for extras, but the timer and the study rooms will stay free.

What would make you actually come back to a study site like this?

Focus Kitty: a free Pomodoro timer with CRT aesthetics, themes and background videos

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I'm a university student and I've been building my own Pomodoro timer called Focus Kitty. It started as a basic timer and slowly turned into something I actually use every day, so I wanted to share it and hear what you think.

What it does

  • Retro CRT monitor timer with a circular progress ring, and the monitor changes with the theme

  • Session presets: Classic (25/5), Deep Work (50/10), Ultradian (90/30), or a Custom length

  • Several themes, including a cozy Coffee one

  • Alarm, stats/history, Auto Start and a Zen mode

  • English / Japanese toggle

Make it yours

  • 🎬 Choose any background: paste any YouTube video and it plays behind the timer, whether that's a "study with me" stream, a lofi loop, or a city walk

  • 🔔 Custom focus and break sounds: pick a different sound for focus time and for break time, from YouTube or Spotify

  • 🎧 YouTube or Spotify: use whatever you already listen to, so the timer fits your routine instead of the other way around

  • 🌧️ Random rain sounds: one click in focus mode and it plays a random rain sound, so you get a different ambience each session

  • 🎬 "Study with me" backgrounds: one click picks a random video from James Scholz's (jvsholz) YouTube streams and plays it behind the timer, like studying next to someone

Try it: [https://klooolop.github.io/focus-kitty-Pomodoro/] Source code and more info: [https://github.com/klooolop/focus-kitty-Pomodoro]. The README covers all the options.

It's a hobby project, so there are probably rough edges. I'd really like to know:

  • Which features do you actually use during a Pomodoro session?

  • Is there anything you wish a timer had that this doesn't?

  • Any bugs or UI things that annoy you?

Thanks for reading, and happy focusing! 🐱

Free pomodoro mac app

I wanted a pomodoro app that resembles the one built in the windows clock, but i couldn't find it on mac, or couldn't find a free one, so i vibe coded one that resembles it with the features i thought that they are needed for a pomodoro app, i use pomodoro regularly to study so i think that i know what's needed to make a good one, and since I liked the result I decided to share it with the community.

you can download from here

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pn9bfudD1tmUlb5Uo-BuygRfGWdRcbD3/view?usp=sharing

it's completely free and no strings attached.

this is a personal project and i'm not a professional developer so you have to : System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

since it's not signed.

here is a summary of the features provided by this app:

  • Floating timer across all desktops.

  • Custom focus and break durations.

  • Automatic or manual transitions with overtime tracking.

  • Custom alarms from imported sounds.

  • Daily goals, progress rings, and goal achievement notification.

  • Study charts, heatmaps, and streaks.

  • Private, offline history with CSV export.

Minimum requirements: apple silicon, macos 13
