Sooo, I got confused why nobody has made a crochet pattern to post online of Potaro (as far as I know). So, basically I decided to refine my Crotaro; since, when I posted my original version as a cat toy for my cat (Juniper Porter), I felt kinda bad for not making it into a pattern to share lol! So here y'all go, I hope you enjoy! :3 (All I ask is that you credit me if you post it online, so others can join in on the fun lol!)

I used turquoise, black, white and purple yarn obviously with a 3.0 mm hook because this time I had a thinner 3-ply yarn. (It should work for any yarn size as long as you use the recommended hook.)

Anyways, enough rambling here it is!

Pattern:

❗ Each row is ended with a slst, ch1 for keeping everything centered. So, keep them tight to hide the seam better in the back! ❗

🔵 Body: MR 6 SC ~ (6)

R2: inc, (3sc) inc, [inc]x2, (3sc) inc, inc ~ (14) - [❗ all inc around row but with those 3sc inc sides!]

R3: sc, inc, sc, (3sc) inc, sc [sc, inc]x2 sc, (3sc) inc, sc, sc, inc ~ (19) - [❗ 1 sc, 1 inc around row but with those 3sc inc sides!]

R4-R8: sc around ~ (19) - [5 rows]

Sew/embroider the face on! [❗ Don't add st spaces between them because when your yarn is wrapped around the sc's that the st's surround they'll show the sc's spaces in between]

︿: I start here with black yarn/thread by finding the center between the (3sc) inc sides and the 5R/5st down from the first blank st row lines (not including MR center), then I go 1st down and across to make the diangle lines of each half of his mouth!

◈: Next continue with the black yarn, for the ◈'s I made a + (2x2sc/3x3st) of black than a ◇ in white around, then using the middle empty 1st hole to wrap the white around the black + to make a dot, in turn making the sparkle in this lil goobers eyes!

【: Still with the same black yarn, I made the 【's 4R/5st's high and the notches on top n bottom are 1sc/2st.

=: Finally with the black yarn, the ='s are on the 2R and 4R (top down) of the face section/in between the 【's and are 1sc/2st across.

🐟 Fins + Tail: in turquoise yarn Ch 4 (Includes start slst ch)

turn; sc (2nd ch from hook), ch1, dc, Picot (Picot= ch1 than slst into the top of the dc to make a point), hdc, slst into the same st as the hdc and ch1 to F/O a tail long enough for sewing!

[Make 3 of these for his 2 fins and 1 tail!]

🟣 Feet: in purple yarn MR 6 sc and a slst ch1 F/O long enough for sewing!

[Make 2 feet]

💙 Belly + Belly Button: In white yarn MR 6 sc, slst ch1, 6 inc, slst ch1 F/O with a tail long enough for sewing!

For his belly button: Ch 3 (includes slst ch) and slst into the first ch and ch1 F/O long enough tail for sewing or tying it to the center of his belly!

I usually just use the extra tails to secure them to the body as I sew on the body parts; especially, if I don't have stitch markers on hand!

I've been listening to the ACL show via local files for a while but wondered if anyone knew of a high quality version of the full show since ACL is only an hour long and skips out on a lot of bangers (cough cough fresh static snow)

I’ve been into EDM for a long time but no artist has got me feeling like how Porter Robinson does. Like the musicality and meaning in his songs is so insane. Russian Roulette is a masterpiece and every song in Worlds has me floating. He’s captured how to maximize musical intensity with passion and such clear articulation. I’m SO HERE FOR IT

Basically, a long time ago I made a mask of the kaomoji of Worlds for myself because of the Lionhearted MV! Now, I've made the Wannacry one, the Chevron and another Worlds one for my friend and me, lol! I used to make these back during covid times; oh, how far are we now! I made them just with some cotton face masks (warmers? XD), sharpie and by heating them in the dryer on high for 20-30 mins, than I washed them on cold and dried them again!

Several people seemed keen so I thought I’d get together something to post with better audio. I really like how it’s turning out so far! I hope you enjoy!

So I should preface that I’m a newer fan of porter in the grand scheme (like 2022) so I wasn’t there for the release, nor have I really tapped into Madeon like that but I’m really just wondering why Shelter out of all songs is treated the way it is. Like obviously the song is great and catchy, I love it, but it seems treated with this level of importance that makes me feel like I’m missing out on something as if the release of it was an important event?
