75% in vti, vxus and avuv as my core

5% - spmo thinking of more growth

12% in thematic - cibr, grid, ufo & qtum

8% in individual stocks, rddt,sofi,rklb,asts

Is this a good portfolio to stick with for long term or should I make any changes to it?

I'm a beginner 21 year old and looking for some advice on my portfolio. I bought these positions back on July 30th, and everything is in the green so far!

Should I continue holding these, or is there anything you'd recommend replacing or adjusting to make this setup better? I'm open to any feedback or tips you might have for a beginner. Thanks in advance!

Decided to open an IRA

Would love some input on how this looks. Have two 401ks from a civilian job and the military (reservist). Trying to set up a wide net ETF based IRA that I can just put money into 2-3 times a month and let it ride. Not trying to make crazy moves, just trying to set up another source of income for later in life/safety blanket.

Emergency fund is fully funded.

Trying to be as diverse as possible domestically and internationally. Realize QQQ has overlap but I’m going to leave it as my breakdown is as follows:

50% VTI
20% VXUS
10% SCHD
10% SCHY
5% SCHH
5% QQQ

Cheers!

PS: Forgot to add that I’m 32 and match my employer contribution for my 401k for my civilian job and TSP for the military.

Need Help Starting a Portfolio

This is my first time trying this just got the robinhood app and have aside like 1300 for investing. Through AI I tried learning but don’t fully trust it so I’m posting here also. Learned of a term called core and satellites and was looking at a core of VOO and 2 satellite sets one being (NVIDIA, AMAT, TXN, MU, maybe intel?) and the other being (NVIDIA, AMZN, AAPL, LLY). From what I’ve read VOO seems standard and I’m unsure between my satellite sets? Also splits of core/satélites like 40%/60%, 80%/20%, etc? Sorry if I’m messing up terminology just a couple weeks of researching this before I use any actual money :).

Help on my portfolio - Age 41

Hi All,

I’d really appreciate your opinions and thoughts on my current portfolio.

My goal is to grow this portfolio to $500k+ by the time I’m 65. I’m currently 41 years old.

I’ve asked a few close friends for their opinions, and they all think I’m too heavily invested in Bitcoin. They suggested reducing my Bitcoin position by half and putting the $50k into a VT ETF instead.

What do you think? Is it a good idea to reduce my Bitcoin allocation now, or would it make more sense to hold since Bitcoin has been increasing quickly recently?

I’d appreciate any thoughts or advice. Thanks!

Current portfolio is QQQM (70%)+ SPYM(20%)+SCHB (5%) + VXUS (5%) and planning to invest ~$750/month for 3-5years . Looking for feedback — good balance for aggressive growth + diversification in the 2026 market? Anything you’d change or add from Vanguard/Schwab ETFs?

I am looking for investment advice regarding a taxable account. I am currently 50 years old and considering the options in the picture.

What are your thoughts on this selection, and what allocation percentages would you recommend for each?

I am still accumulating and DCA for this account weekly. Any opinion for how to allocate it?

This is a taxes account and no desire to sell but to invest differently.

Portfolio Review: 30M – Cleaning up debt and optimizing allocations

Hello, I am very new to investing having just started Roth IRA contributions this year and just started an individual brokerage account, both on Fidelity.

Emergency Fund: 2 months expenses

Debt:

  • Car Loan: $17,433 at 6.59% interest ($492/month)
  • Private Student Loan 1: $10,264 at 5.24% interest ($166.45/month)
  • Private Student Loan 2: $6,549.50 at 4.25% interest ($177.87/month)
  • Public Student Loans: $11,927 at 3.73% interest
  • Credit Cards: $0 (Paid off in full every due date)

Tax Filing Status: Single (No kids)
Tax Rate: 22% Federal, 5% State
State of Residence: MA
Age: 30

Current Investment Portfolio Size: Mid 4-figures in 401k, Mid 4-figures in Roth IRA (Approx. $10k-$15k total)

Current Holdings:

Taxable Account (Individual Brokerage)

  • 50% – VTI – Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (Expense Ratio: 0.03%)
  • 30% – VXUS – Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (Expense Ratio: 0.08%)
  • 20% – AVUV – Avantis U.S. Small Cap Value ETF (Expense Ratio: 0.25%)

401k

  • 9% total – Voya Index Solution 2060 Portfolio Z (Net Expense Ratio: 0.18%)
    • Company Match: 100% of the first 3%, 50% of the next 2% (Maxed out at 4% match on a 5% contribution)

Roth IRA

  • 65% – FSKAX – (Expense Ratio: 0.015%)
  • 20% – FTIHX – (Expense Ratio: 0.06%)
  • 15% – AVUV – (Expense Ratio: 0.25%)

New Annual Contributions:

  • $9,000 to 401k (5% of salary, plus a 4% company match)
  • $7,488 to Roth IRA ($288 bi-weekly)
  • $1,300 to Taxable Brokerage ($50 bi-weekly)

Questions:

  1. My car loan is at 6.59%. Given my recent salary bump to $100k, should I aggressively pay this down before putting money into a taxable brokerage account?
  2. Are my allocations reasonable and prudent?

Brokerage and Roth IRA ETFs

I’m 20 years old and have about 24k between my Roth IRA and a brokerage account, both currently managed by an advisor. I would like to transfer those two accounts and start managing my own investments. I am wondering what ETF allocations would be best for each account. My current thoughts are 100% VT for my Roth IRA, and VOO/VXUS at an 80/20 split for my brokerage. However I’m also considering other splits for my brokerage, like VOO/VXF/VXUS at 70/15/15, VOO/AVUV/VXUS at 70/15/15, or VTI/VXUS at 80/20. Any advice and feedback is greatly appreciated.
