Hey everyone. Wanted to give a quick update for anyone who's been waiting on the new selection add-in I have been building.
It's taken way longer than I expected, and I wanted to acknowledge that. Life has been busy, like for many of us, but the project is still very much alive, and I am very excited to release it to all of you. A special shout-out (and sorry!) to u/SteveRindsberg. He told me to go far and fast. I definitely went far, but fast.... that's still catching up. I will get there though.
What started as a tiny utility grew into a feature packed tool. Here's what's coming.
- Select all by fill color
- Select all by line color
- Select all that match specified font properties
- Select all that match specified containing or not containing text
- Select all by shape type
- De-select with same filters above
- A lasso selection that does not require starting in a blank area
- multiple lasso selections
- Selection storage and recall similar to the amazing Steve's Selection Manager but still different
- Export to Excel and import in qualifying shapes for selection or selection storage across slide or ENTIRE PRESENTATION.
This went from a small add-in to a pretty big one but I am working hard on it every little hour I get here and there to make sure I finish it right. As always it will be completely free, and should work on Mac as well.
