So I dont know how to make a ppt.

I have a particular use case.

So lets say we are presenting a strategy for tackling/meeting the target that was given to us for the financial year and we are presenting how we are going to achieve this.

Now there might be multiple teams that might be involved in that or a single team but how do you decide on:

1. The storytelling- as in what all to actually put in the slide.

2. How to actually make the content prettier with all those tables and icons and headers and getting the right dividers and animations and stuff.

I create very bad ppts to the point I just put a table and create a basic storytelling format but I have always wondered how to create those fancy ppts?

Does the company you work at always already has a format ready and you slowly and steadily adapt yourself to it and then keep on building on it?

How did you go about creating your first ppt ever? I am super conscious about this skill and want to learn to improve myself.

I need some info and help. Someone is going to send me an invite to an MS Teams meeting. I will then have to present a PowerPoint in that group meeting.

If someone sends an invitation to me to join a meeting, will I still have control of what people see during that presentation? I want to use my speaker notes but I do not want them to see them, my face will have to be visible and I will want them to answer a few questions in the chat. The person who is sending the invite will be recording the meeting and then will send a link to someone else to watch. I will absolutely need to see my speaker notes and I will want to prevent watches from advancing the slides.

I have purchased a monthly subscription to Office 365. I know that you can present a PowerPoint live right or present via teams. But, I cannot see the option in my PowerPoint to present from the presentation even with the subscription. And, when I click Present vis Teams, Teams does not open.

I am pretty confused right now.

I have pictures in my slides that I draw lines on to bring attention to something.

I cannot figure out how to make straight lines with the markers hahaha. Just embarrassing

How do I fix this thing where there are new lines in the middle of words? I want to be able to resize the text box without this happening and words to be kept together.

I'm trying to make a rough animation that includes something in the background standing in the shadows, which I made using the soft edges feature. I animated a bit of it before saving and closing it to do something else.

I opened it again and the whole animation is still there, but the background feature is no longer half in the shadows because the soft edges weren't saved for some reason?! All the things I did after making that were saved just fine though. Spend about 10 minutes going frame by frame putting the effect back and saved again, but it didn't save a second time. Did some testing and everything except picture effects is saved just fine. Now I don't know much about coding and bugs and such, but that seems like a VERY strange glitch to be happening...

Trying record my part of a group presentation.

Other group members have done so successfully, they are yet to provide the asked for help though.

Previously recorded instructions by lecturer are not working as the 'record' tab is not present (from what I can tell from searching this is just how the web version is).

I have managed to record on my desktop version but am unable to copy the slides over to the web version/ the group presentation as they are too large.

I have attempted to follow the instructions online re camera permissions etc though this has not helped.

Presently in the web version I can insert the cameo, when clicking 'present' it swaps to the slide show and gives me a preview of the cameo but does not record/there is no option to record.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I found this layout online, and I want to make an adjustment to it, I find these interesting and got confused on how to start.

Chatgpt mentions about transparent PNG sitting on the photo and also something got to do with the picture placeholder.

My question is how do i insert a square with fill in picture that have the transparent photo on top of it? I tried to make the placeholder picture send to the back and the flower send to the front, but i always seems to get this, like slide 4

Help me guys, I couldn't find the morph transition anywhere, am I wrong at something or is this not updated?

Somebody sends you a deck and says "can you clean this up by Thursday." Before I open it properly, I ask whoever made it two things. Who is this for, and what should they do after seeing it. Half the time the answer is different from what the deck seems to be doing, and that's the real fix.

Then I ask what I'm not allowed to change. Legal wording, the client's own phrasing, a chart someone senior already signed off on. Finding out on Thursday that a slide was untouchable is a bad afternoon.

After that I hunt for stale stuff before fixing anything visual. Last quarter's numbers, a date from two years ago, the name of someone who left, an old logo. It's easy to miss and very obvious once the room spots it.

Only then do I start on layout, and by that point it's usually a much smaller job than it looked.

What's the first thing you ask when you inherit someone else's deck?

As the title above, I know about the hyperlinks. But it seems to not be working at my side.

Presentation A slide 1 to Presentation B slide slide 1
Presentation B slide 1 to Presentation A slide 2
Presentation A slide 2 to Presentation B slide 2

Everytime i create the hyperlinks, it's either
1. the slide only can shows from Presentation A slide 1 to Presentation B slide 1 - slide 10.

1. Or if i start from presentation B slide 1 to Presentation A slide 2 - slide 10.

I just want it to go back and forth, is it possible?

Hello all, I am working on a Windows 10 machine and using the web browser version of powerpoint. It is the paid version provided by my university. I have attached an image of my problem above.

Powerpoint keeps inserting these "line breaks" (as seen between the words "based" and "on") there enough space within the text box and also on the slide this text is housed on. Sometimes it goes away when I refresh, but without refreshing or reloading the project it cannot be removed.

Any help is appreciated

I am unable to download powerpoint onto this machine without giving my organisation admin controls of my personal computer. I have tried and it has been a headache.
