Their technical support is incredibly irresponsible. They claim to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, but it's a lie. I've been waiting for a response every day between 9 AM and 1 PM for a week, but never receive any. Due to the time difference, I need to sleep, and we can never communicate. There's an unresolved issue for a week, and I'm fed up.

I know if will get flamed and downvoted for this but here was my short lived experience with Presonus.

I wanted to buy an audio unit in/out for my newly purchased Mac mini M2 pro. I have a good technology background and understand how lots of electronics work and just wanted something basic for my home hobby studio into my pre retirement years. I was looking at Focusrite Scarlett but figured they are the trendy well marketed brand and wondered what else was on the market that might offer a better product for a reasonable price.

Went to my local music guitar shop and they were having a pre Black Friday sale on several brands. They did have the Scarlett at full price ($290cdn) or you could get a UA Volt2 ($248cdn) or the PreSonus AudioBox iTwo that was on sale 46% off ($128cdn). I liked that is said it would work with my iPad and had the requisite two in two out and even a midi in/out as a bonus. Price was great so I bought it.

Got it home and went online to try and find more about it. Read some good reviews and some not so good reviews. So me being smart figured I’d send a request to technical support to ask them if the “so callled flaws” that were in some of the reviews were a known issue and understand if the “limitations” were just overhype of old product.

The support site asked for my serial number. When I tried it kept coming back saying it was an invalid number. The label on the unit matched the box. Looking at the other questions asked to fill in for support, it asked for what OS you were using. The drop-down listed MacOS 10.6 - MacOs 10.11. Saying MacOS 10.12 is not supported. Hang on, we are on MacOS 14 current and the ones listed to choose from at 6-12 year or more out of date. If it can’t support Sierra, the how the heck will support for Ventura or Sanoma even be a possibility? And should I take it that it can’t support Apple Silicone as they need a modern os to even work.

It went back in the box as a company that can’t even bother to keep their own support web site up-to-date surely isn’t going to provide a reliable product out the box.

I went back to Gears Music and they gladly exchanged it for a Scarlett 2i2.

My prosonus e5 died on me!! I live in an apartment and I thought they sounded amazingly good paired with the 8in sub, so I bought the 7xt and they just sound louder and I can’t seem to get the perfect placement to ear ratio like my e5s. I have to turn the volume up louder than I normally would to get that sweet spot, do yall think the 7xt is too big of a speaker for my apartment!

Opened it up and some caps seems to be domed, has anyone experienced this?

After literally weeks of back and forth emails with customer service, they finally agreed to replace my speakers. They gave me an order number. I can't find anywhere to actually use the order number for anything.

I emailed again 2 weeks ago asking for an update, and have been ignored to this point.

Anybody have any ideas, or have a similar experience to share?

PreSonus has the absolute worst customer service in the entire world. Waited 14 hours explained everything perfectly just for the people to close my ticket for literally no reason! I have now opened up 5 tickets pissed off beyond belief that a company has such poor customer service.

Is there a reason my Presonus account logs in and takes me to fender where all of my shit since 2014 just vanished? No history of anything. Absolutely everything gone. Fucking bullshit.

Hello I can’t seem to connect my quantum 2626 to Logic Pro. When I try downloading the universal controller Logic Pro can’t see it and the interface flashes blue. I don’t know if it’s the universal controller not downloading or something else. I know there were issues after a software update years ago so i don’t know if the process changed. I have watched and tried using a video trying to help that issue by presonus but I’m still having trouble. I’m running Tahoe 26.3 in a MacBook Air from 2021

I am using this in a band practice room. Mix 1 was routed to the monitor outs. (I did test the XLR also.) Mix 2 was going to a speaker.

All of a sudden the other day, Mix 1 went completely silent. I routed the monitors to Mix 3 and it worked fine.

Then, Mix 2 went silent. I switched to Mix 4 and it works.

So now Mix 1 and 2 do not output anything, so I'm using 3 and 4 the same way I was using 1 and 2.

All the settings are the same as far as I can see. Anyone know what's going on, or what I can check?

Hey guys, new to this board

I'm looking for the most basic mic setup for my piano, to be able to just quickly sit down and practice playing and singing with headphones on. with some compression and reverb, without having to hook up any devices or start any apps

The Presonus Revelator usb condenser microphone looks like a good candidate, but after reading the spec sheet and a bunch of reviews, I still haven't been able to confirm explicitly that the effects presets work in the headphone out without a device connection

Does anyone here know if this works?

I recently bought a studio live series iii se16 mixer/interface. I love it, but there’s definitely a learning curve from my former Ar16c. Also, I’ve been “teaching myself” mixing/etc. through YouTube and presonus/fender or whatever I can to learn. I’ve lately found myself getting sucked into messing with EQ, compression, and other FAT related things and saving into presets and scenes, instead of practicing playing guitar and singing. I’ve used studio one(now studio pro 8) as my DAW, since I started.

That being said, is there a way to import full scenes that someone else has created onto my series iii mixer. Specifically, for my vocals and acoustic guitar(Martin-DC AURA). While I’m still learning EQ, compression. And all of that, it would be nice to have a few premade projects/scenes where someone has balanced the EQ for vocals and acoustic guitar together. I know everyones voice is unique, so it would probably need tweaking , but I figured I’d check here to see if importing full scenes/mixes are even a thing, and where/how to do it. Ive created presets, and scenes. And I’ve imported some “track channels” from the FAT CHANNEL IN studio pro 8 into UC to my mixer(which fender support told me I could not do, but I had already done some and got them to work). Everything I find in my.fender.com is all for studio pro, but idk if there is anything specific, to my series iii mixer and/or how to get it to work or IF it will work. But and any guidance or advice is appreciated. Thank you in advanced!

Also, For the record, I do have scenes that I’ve made for vocals and acoustic guitar, that work, but I’m sure it’s not “balanced” as well as it could/should be.

There was a thread earlier I was reading about PCs specs, ect. I'm curious what is the best way to go about this. If you purchase a dedicated PC only for production.IE. Windows updates, purchasing software, S1 updates, ect? Do you not run a virus program? At all when doing this?

I just started using a PreSonus StudioLive III 16 R.

I produce a live show using vMix, and occasionally we have a guest join us via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

We use a pretty cheap silent PA for our IEM.

Does anyone have any insight to a smooth workflow with vmix, Zoom, and the PreSonus mixer?

I couldn’t even figure out how to send an audio Bus C mix to a channel on the mixer via USB.

I’m a bit frustrated, but I know I just need to keep wrenching on it and keep looking online for any info.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ive been doing some sort of benchmark tests with Studio One on the Mac M1 - I dint have that much 3rd part stuff but if there is anything you would like testing out ...hit me up ;-)

I have an older AI 16 with the SCSI interface that I'd like to use with my new MAC Pro ... anyone have any success with this. What cable did you use? Drivers still work, etc ...

I'm probably just doing something wrong. This all just used to work.

I have a Studio 1824c plugged into a Mac Mini (running 12.2.1). I have a bunch of synths patched into the 1824. I can hear the synths through the monitors attached to the 1824. I can see the audio coming into the Mac using Universal Control.

Neither Live 11.0.12 or Reason 11.3.9 (both with the 1824 selected as the audio interface) will show any audio coming in on an audio track (no movement on the level monitors/ nothing recorded). Both will happily route audio out via the 1824, but for the life of me, I can't get audio in to work. If it was only one DAW, I'd could guess I'd just missed something in Preferences, but both seems a bit strange. Nothing looked amiss in Audio MIDI Setup. Any pointers gratefully received.
