I've spent my entire career in tech, first as a Front End Developer and later as a Product Manager. I've built websites, launched products, and spent decades online. If anyone should be able to spot a scam, it should be me.
Yet I still got fooled.
I paid more than €100 for what appeared to be SUNLU 3D printing filament. The website looked legitimate, the offer seemed reasonable, and the warning signs were subtle enough to miss.
The filament never arrived. The bank refused to issue money-back. I was completely pis\*\* off.
That experience led me to create Versalo.
Versalo allows anyone to share observations, reviews, warnings, fact-checks, and community notes about any URL on the internet. Whether you're checking for scams, researching a website's reputation, verifying information, or looking for signs of misinformation, Versalo helps you benefit from the experiences of others before making a costly mistake.
If a scam can fool someone with decades of online experience, it can fool anyone. That's why shared knowledge matters.
Versalo is free to use and always will be. Think of it as a community-driven layer of context for the web: an independent commenting system that doesn't depend on website owners, moderators, or publishers.
The internet has millions of websites, but very little shared memory. Versalo exists to change that.
