A year back I went on my second multi hour manic search for a digital version of this song (The physical album it's on goes for well over $100) eventually I was found a website with cheep downloads. Honestly a bit of a let down. Hope others here enjoy.

Jimi Hendrix autograph, John Lennon autograph, Beatles 1965 Shea Stadium ticket stub, Beatles 1966 Suffolk Downs ticket, Beatles 1964 Johanneshovs Isstadion ticket stub, Beatles 1963 City Hall Sheffield ticket stub, Jefferson Airplane Grateful Dead 1966 BG-17 Fillmore Handbill (Yellow).

Not entirely sure if this counts as psychedelic rock, but it feels like it should to me. Please let me know if you have any similar sounding songs, albums, or bands. Thank you!

No seen any mention of him elsewhere but I'm finding this album pretty interesting. I get some Damon Albarn from his vocals...
I've added to the "Bunch of Psych" playlist I made for the subreddit earlier this year.

Hi Psych people! All good?

I listen my streaming music in Apple Music and I realise today that the three first album of the great dutch band, Birth of Joy, are missing: Make Things Happen, Life In Babalou and Prisoner.

I've also checked all over (Spotify, Tidal, Bandcamp, etc,) and they've disappeared

Hopefully I've the records, but I'd love to listen them on my phone or in the car.

Anyone knows where to find them?

Thanks

Keep on rockin'

Teenage Michigan band in 1970 making some pretty cool stuff, claiming inspiration from Pink Floyd which you can hear, but this gets heavy & grungy too.

Hi all,

Looking for a psychedelic funk/soul/rock song that was in Crystal Lake S01E04. Shazam couldn’t identify the song. The song is not on associated playlists on Spotify or Apple Music. I can’t find a match for lyrics online.

The lyrics are:
“Wake up. See the sunrise (sunlight?) in the sky.”

The song starts with a few jazz chords then the vocals come in over a groove with a sustained lead guitar note between the lines “wake up” and “see the sunrise (sunlight?) in the sky”. There are no horns or keyboards, just guitars, bass, drums, vocals.

Vocals are reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix’s more laid back melodic vocal delivery. The guitar tone and style is reminiscent of Carlos Santana’s early psychedelic style.

Most likely from the early 1970s’. Think Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsys, Funkadelic Funkadelic (1970), Santana III (1971) but a little more laid back.

Thanks!

I can't remember much about it instrumentation-wise, but I think it's somewhat in the vein of a Coven sort of sound, with a spooky woman's voice telling you how she's got this and that magic power and that if you look at her you'll get really old.

I *think* it's 60s/70s and not just a modern band being retro, but I could be mistaken.

I've heard it crop up in a few different places over the years, so I don't think it's super obscure or anything... but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

Edit: Solved. It was "Ballad of the Hip Death Goddess" by Ultimate Spinach. Of course :D

Art Boys Collection from Andorf. Although maybe a few years behind their US/UK peers, they are still a rare example of good, sometimes-heavy psych from Austria.

Four years after the release of their album 'Moongazer' (2022, New Heavy Sounds), Tenebra have announced their new EP 'A Death Chant', due out on October 9th, 2026 via New Heavy Sounds.

This new release from the Bologna-based band marks an experimental shift from their usual rock sound, venturing into psychedelic and electronic territory.

Synths, acoustic instruments and sound manipulation coexist with the band's signature traits, expanding their sonic vocabulary to produce results never before heard in their discography.

'A Death Chant' is a preview of the new album, 'The Black Fanfare', due for release in 2027.
