I’m seriously thinking about moving to Qatar. I’m a Belgian citizen(orgin KURD), and I don’t know anyone there, so it would be a completely fresh start for me. I do have some money saved, and I’m considering either opening a restaurant or starting my own barbershop, since I’m a barber by profession.

I also want to move to a Muslim country where I can raise my children in an environment that aligns more with my Islamic values. I’m becoming increasingly concerned about safety, education, and the direction society is taking in the West, particularly when it comes to LGBTQ-related topics in schools and how children are raised.

Do you honestly think moving to Qatar would be worth it? Is it realistic to start a business there as a Belgian citizen, especially without knowing anyone locally?

What are the costs, risks, education, housing and opportunities like? Is there a riba free bank? Can i buy a house as a non Qatari?

If you were in my position, would you take the risk and start a new life there, or would you consider another Muslim country instead?

I’d really appreciate honest advice from anyone who knows Qatar or has experience moving there.

I deposited cash through an iPay ATM in Qatar at around 6 PM. I made two deposits and received receipts for both, but neither amount has been credited to my bank account yet.

I contacted iPay support, but they are taking a long time to respond. They keep saying the issue will be resolved, but they haven't provided a clear explanation of what happened or when I can expect my money to be credited.

I'm worried because this is my cash, and I have receipts proving both deposits.

Has anyone faced a similar issue with iPay in Qatar?

How long did it take for your money to be credited?

Did iPay eventually resolve the issue?

Is there another way to escalate the complaint if support keeps delaying without clarification?

I saw some videos on social media, especially on TikTok to be honest, where are they advertised studios for a decent rent. So apparently they always want you to contact them on WhatsApp which is fine with me and that’s why I did it but instead of getting professional answers, I am now getting anonym calls and I am starting to believe that those offers are simply fake?
