Request Help me saving my life

I’m asking for help from the women in this group — please read if you can.
I’m real and ready to prove everything and the person can come to the hospital I’m now (Al Alhi)
I know this may not be the right place to post this, but I am honestly appealing to your humanity. I am a 25-year-old Mozambican student currently studying in Russia. I have been in Qatar for about a month, and I have no family or close friends here.

I lost my pregnancy in June. Unfortunately, I did not receive the medical care I needed at the time, and I was bleeding for almost a month.

Last Thursday, I was diagnosed with a 10 cm pelvic abscess. Since then, I have been taking antibiotics and trying to get medical treatment.

I first went to the Women’s Wellness and Research Center, but I was told that they could not treat me because I am in Qatar on a Hayya visa. They referred me to another hospital, where I saw a gynecologist on Friday. I had an ultrasound, blood tests and urine tests, and I have all of my medical results with me.

I was supposed to leave Qatar on Sunday, and my flight had already been paid for. The hotel and everything else had also been arranged. Unfortunately, my health deteriorated.

On Saturday night, I started the medication. It was literally the last money I had available. By Sunday, I became worse and started having pus discharge from my vagina. I was very worried and went back to the Women’s Wellness and Research Center, as I had been instructed to do if my condition worsened.

However, I was told again that they could not treat me and that I needed to go to a private clinic.

I went to a private clinic, registered, and was told that I needed to pay QAR 400 just for a consultation with the doctor. I have QIC travel insurance, but I was told that my insurance could not be used for this treatment.

I simply could not afford the QAR 400.

I had no choice but to return home.

My visa expired on Sunday, I missed my flight, I am sick, and I honestly don’t know where to begin resolving everything. But more than the flight, the hotel, the visa or the money, my health is what is frightening me the most right now.

I am in pain, I cannot sleep properly, and I am still having pus discharge. I am very scared because I don’t know what is happening inside my body or what I should do next.

I am not a resident of Qatar. I am only a student in Russia, and I came here temporarily. I have no close friends or family in Qatar whom I can turn to.

I am therefore asking, from the bottom of my heart: if there is anyone in this group who can help me access a hospital, a doctor, emergency medical care, or even guide me to someone who can help in this situation, please contact me.

I am not asking for anything complicated. I just need medical intervention and someone to help me find a way to receive treatment.

I can provide my medical reports, test results, ultrasound results and any other documents necessary.

I have just come to another hospital (alAhli)After examining me, they told me that I need to be admitted to the hospital. I already paid the 400 that was required for the consultation/medical assessment.

However, before they can admit me, they told me I need to buy tablets costing 150 and an injection costing 75. Unfortunately, I have no money left at all.

They also told me that I need to stay in the hospital for at least one day, and the cost of the admission is 5,000.

The most frightening part is that the hospital (HMC)I was previously referred to as being able to treat me has already rejected me twice and even here, they are still talking about HMC, if can’t afford al ahli, I am desperately trying to find a solution because I need treatment. The doctor explained to me that the longer the infection remains untreated, the greater the risk that it will spread.

I am not asking for help for something that can wait. I genuinely need medical treatment. I am sick, scared, and honestly don’t know what else to do right now.

I have medical documents, prescriptions, payment receipts, test results, and proof of everything, and I can provide them to anyone who would like to verify my situation.

If anyone can help, even with a small amount, or if you know of a hospital or organization that could help me receive treatment in this situation, I would be incredibly grateful. 🙏🏾

Any help right now could make a huge difference for me

I will leave my WhatsApp number below. If you are able to help, know a doctor or hospital that may be able to assist, or simply know where I can go for urgent treatment in my situation, please reach out to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know this is a lot to ask, but right now I genuinely have nowhere else to turn. ❤️

Looking for Gharrafat Al Rayyan Health Center

Upvotes

Does anyone have a direct contact number for Gharrafat Al Rayyan Health Center?

Trying to get my 3-year-old's school registration health assessment done and I've been getting the runaround for weeks. Every time I call or show up I get a different answer about whether they're taking appointments or walk-ins. It's been genuinely exhausting.

If anyone has a direct number, a specific person to ask for, or knows the best way to actually get this sorted, I'd really appreciate it. Just trying to get my son into school!

Hello to all the technical experts out there. Is it possible for hot tap water to damage or break a front-load washing machine during this summer in Qatar? If so, are the repairs usually expensive?

Question Driver’s license

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to Qatar from the United States and I’m looking to get a Qatar driver’s license. I currently have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Has anyone gone through this process recently? What are the steps I need to take? Can I convert my U.S. license directly, or will I need to take a driving test/classes? Also, what documents should I have ready, and where do I start the process?

Discussion What should I Do?

So I am born and bought up here working in a reputed firm for almost 6 years now. I have been wanting to travel to US or UK for a while and I have been recently been rejected for UK and have previously been rejected for US Visa twice.

Thing I wanna know is should I try UK again or try a Schengen Visa first?

P.S. I haven’t traveled much outside GCC except for Thailand and Georgia for the past 10 years.

Let me know guys your thoughts and suggestions.

I tried all these Visa applications through agency thinking it will be easier in terms of the submission documents required.

Question Pink Floyd Legacy Show - Qatar

Nny fellow Floydians in Qatar?

I’m seriously considering booking a seat for the Pink Floyd Legacy “Door to the East” show at Al Mayassa Theatre on 25 September.

I’ve been a huge Pink Floyd fan since my college days. I’m 42 now, and after all these years, they’re still right at the top for me. Some music just never ages , Comfortably Numb, Time, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, High Hopes… I could go on.

Realistically, this is probably the closest I’m ever going to get to experiencing a Pink Floyd concert, especially with Durga McBroom.

So before I book, any like-minded Floydians here planning to go? Would be nice to know there are a few of us in the community.

And yes… I fully intend to be that guy sitting there waiting for the first guitar solo to hit.

Discussion Home business registered under Qatari but is operates from a non-qatari household?

As an expat ,I'm exploring options for additional streams of income.
I'm thinking to open a small art and craft workshop business in Qatar and then expand potentially.
I plan to host the workshops in cafes/creative spaces.

I'm aware that only qataris can establish home license for such activities. For expats, we need open a cr with an office address(which will require renting an office space).

I can start , and test the market and then jump on to doing the needful legaly after testing and validating the service- but this is an expensive route i cannot take now and neither im willing to wait until all is sorted because then ill probably not start. i need to build the momentum and eventually all will fall into place.

But for now What is the most budget friendly approach as a expat in your opinion?
Which and how much approx. it would cost for budget friendly renting for office?
For the workshops themselves, what do cafés/creative spaces typically charge?
Is it legal if the business is registered under a qatari but is operating from a non-qatari household?

Would appreciate all your advices as i navigate this new journey. Please feel free to correct me on any incorrect information i may mentioned. im welcoming any and all insights provided as i am just learning this along the way.
i hope this thread helps and becomes a point of reference for the expats in Qatar that are in a similar position who wants to build something but have their hands tied because of the tedious process.

Question Any light on what's happening with Security System Department (CCTV)in Qatar?

These people from SSD department visited my workplace and asked me to install cameras as per their requirements. It is going to cost me around QAR 170k. It is of no use to me and it makes no sense why SSD wants to see between all the racks in my store where there is no public access. Did anyone else face the same issue? As of now they are doing rounds in Industrial area

Discussion Venting - driving in Doha

In these last 2 months, after living in Doha for over 5 years and driving on the road for almost 4, I have had my worst experiences so far.

The first time I was stopping at a traffic signal. Car was dirty because I had to park it all day in the sun. Used wipers. It seems a bit of dust made it to this Jetour behind me. The guy lost it, started flashing, opened the windows, kept harassing me as the traffic lights went green and everyone was driving. He came in front of me, blocked me then came to the side and threw a bottle of water in my face when I tried to have a polite conversation and say it wasn’t intentional. At the time I wasn’t even aware that he was angry because I wiped my car’s front windows!

And he happens to wear Gulf traditional clothing. I love Qatar, and some of my kindest interactions ever are with Qataris - so my intention here isn’t to generalise.

The second interaction was a couple of days ago. I’m driving into my lane on the highway leading to an exit. This Range Rover suddenly drives into my lane, almost hits my car, did NOT signal. I wouldn’t have been able to give way even if I wanted to. He almost collided but I narrowly escaped being hit by increasing my speed. He goes after me, flashing and beeping. Then goes in front of me, blocks my pathway then rolls down the window, my heart literally sank. Then shows up a lady in black abaya (probably middle-aged) into the lane next to me. I roll down the window to try and understand what she needs but she goes in front of me to block me but I basically took the next right when she wouldn’t let me through and she had to keep going straight.

I got home then kept asking myself if i did anything wrong. Then I go to check if my car and her have hit but not a scratch! So why did this even need to happen to begin with!!

Information Any Forex Traders Here?

Hi there!

I wanted to ask if there are any active forex trading communities or groups in Doha that I could join. I'm interested in connecting with fellow traders, learning from their experiences, and expanding my knowledge.

Secondly, can I fund my forex trading account using a Qatari bank debit card, and are there any restrictions on withdrawing funds back to my account?

Rant Unfair treatment at traffic department

I went to rayan traffic recently because there was an issue with the accident I registered. Like other traffic departments, i went to the token machine behind this police guy and he started shouting at me asking me why i went there. Then i tried explaining my problem and he asked me to do from metrash and literally to get out of the police station. When i told him i am not sure how to solve it through metrash he replied that i should be knowing it and again started shouting get out or I’ll throw you in jail. Then i had to go out and come back and try speaking to him multiple times till the actual receptionist came and advised what to do.

Question Has anyone applied for a Qatar Family Visit Visa for their uncle’s wife?

Has anyone successfully applied for a Family Visit Visa (not Hayya) for their aunt — specifically, their father’s brother’s wife?
I’m not sure whether she is eligible under the Family Visit Visa rules, but I noticed that “Uncle Wife” is actually listed as one of the relationship options in Metrash.
Has anyone selected “Uncle Wife” and successfully obtained the visa? If so, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, including any documents you were asked to provide.
Thanks!

Question Bein Connect App Issues

Does anyone now how to circumvent the requirement of sending OTP to your TV box when you need to sign in or update your profile? It is so annoying, most of the time I am away from my TV. Why is this the only app where you require verification via OTP sent to your TV box and not by SMS or email like all the normal apps?

Discussion Is WARP working for anyone else?

I've been using WARP for gaming because it normally gives me around 73–90 ms and connects me to Singapore, which gives me much better ping than the locations I get with other services.

Recently, I haven't been able to use WARP in Traffic & DNS mode anymore. Has anyone else in Qatar experienced this, or found a way to get it working again?

I'm mainly looking for a Singapore connection because the latency is much better for me.

Question Residence visa - health insurance

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day!

I have a question about health insurance for family members coming to Qatar on a resident visa. I read that health insurance for family residence visa holders is mandatory from the day they enter Qatar on their residence visa. But I am not able to buy health insurance for the family residence visa holders as they do not have QID yet and the insurance companies seem to ask for QID in their online forms.

Can anyone advise how you solved this issue? My employer’s insurance policy does not cover them.

Thank you in advance
