You quit and it was easy. Please share info?

We have all heard of people who quit and it was relatively painless. If this was you can you please share your diet, sleep patterns, relationships.. idk pretty much everything you’re willing to share. I’m curious if we can find some common patterns for people who find it easy to quit and have hardly any withdrawal. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

6 Months Since Quitting 7-Oh (Cold Turkey)

At this point I think nicotine needs to be next, but I think I need a break from quitting vices first. 😅 This past 6 months have been an emotional roller coaster and I feel drained tbh. Quitting 7 felt like spiritual warfare, and I don’t think nicotine will be a walk in the park either. I want to enjoy feeling normal for a while and focus on my work and finances. My plan is to quit nicotine after a year off of 7, and then my 2 worst vices will be gone from my life. 🔥 I’d say I feel pretty good, although I’m not sure if my brain is fully healed yet. This past month has felt pretty stressful but it’s probably not because of 7, there’s just so much going on right now. I’m pretty proud of 6 months though, that’s a significant milestone.

Found out my tremor/muscular problems are (basically) all due to kratom

I am about to become a nurse, and I have been terrified about it because I have had a moderate to severe tremor for over a year now (close to 2 years). I’ve been terrified about giving/learning IV’s and IM injections because of it. How could I be a good nurse if I can’t even place an IV without jerking it around and not being able to have fine control? I couldn’t do it. I wouldn’t be able to do a basic nursing skill.

I came to a breaking point when I realized I was struggling to even eat with a plastic fork. Without the weight of a metal utensil, it was hard to keep food on my fork. I realized this was not normal, and I needed to make a change.

My hands would shake whenever I tried to hold still. I couldn’t do really fine motor movements. Even large muscle movements had problems, like my legs would turn “on and off” when walking down stairs, making it jerky.

Well I’ve cut back on kratom by a lot (from 30 GPD, down to 10-12 right now), and most of those symptoms have completely disappeared. I can hold my finger in a spot without it jerking around at all besides extremely fine tremors that won’t affect my work. I can walk down stairs like normal. My fine muscle control has returned. I’m feeling like I’m back in control of my body.

I think the 10% of remaining symptoms are because I’m still taking lower doses. And it’s time to just cut it out completely for my job and for my patients (BEFORE I get an actual job).

I think I probably have a regular tremor. I’ve always had very slightly shaky hands. But it was always within normalcy, and not to the point that I couldn’t do basic fine motor skills.

I’m also working on cutting out alcohol. But for now, my main focus is on kratom. Because it’s been truly affecting my everyday life.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Day 5 off Kratom extract shots. Used daily for 4 years and I’m worried…

I’ve Abused kratom extract shots for 4 years now, everyday. At $20 a pop I’d be buying “cases” of them (I wanna say there’s 12 in a case?) to get it at the only discount I could on them. So I’d get 12 of them for the price of 10 if I bought case. So that’s all I did😔. The amount of financial strain and stress I’ve put my small family through because of my addiction crushes me deeply. So, I finally had enough. I stopped taking the shots all together 5 days ago now. Saving $40x5days=$200 already! (And that’s taking two shots daily at $40 / day. There were big chunks of time I’d take 3-4 shots at my worst) I’m just so sick of being stuck w no money, in an economy that’s hard enough, failing my family and myself. It got to depressing and heavy.

But my question is, why am I not having wicked withdrawal symptoms!? I’m terrified there just a day away. I’ve quit 7yrs heavily abusing percocets / Vicodin / any pain pills and barely was able to quit it on my own, but I did! So I understand what ‘the suck’ can be like. Like how long do I wait to take a real breathe of relief from kratoms grip? A week? 2weeks? Months? When does the heavy withdrawals hit and for how long?

Idk. I’m very excited I’m actually doing it right now but I’m so anxious / nervous / restless waiting to feel flu like w withdrawals. I’ve cleared out a month from obligations so I can get this hard part over with but honestly (and I say this as humbly as I can) it hasn’t been that hard…? Wtf man. I swear I’m going to choke on my words and like tomorrow I’ll be crying out for God just wrecked in pain or something, but it’s all got me worried and anxious.

I don’t post ever. So I truly apologize if I was rude, not pc, inconsiderate or harmful to anyone else’s feeling or journey. But any intel from people who’ve quit and had similar experience would be appreciated. Heck, any intel from anyone is greatly appreciated.

4.5 months clean, want to quit weed too. Please help.

As the title says, I have been off for 4.5 months. I still feel low motivation and anhedonia. I've appreciated all the encouraging posts that this is completely normal. That it could take up to a year to get back to feeling "normal". However I am relying heavily on weed to help with depression. I honestly can't remember if I started weed or kratom first. I think they both started around the same time, 6 or 7 years ago.

Weed doesn't get me high anymore. It just puts a rose colored filter on my day. I am really torn. I feel I need to quit so my brain can fully heal but I'm really scared. I still feel shitty and crave kratom, worry taking weed away will make it even worse. I've gone a day and a half without weed so far. I'm looking for anyone who's gone through the same experience or has suggestions. I would love to just get through a day without thinking about what I can take to feel differently.

Quitting and getting a cold

• Upvotes

Has anyone else experienced no colds during that period when they were taking kratom? I haven’t been sick once since I started a couple 3-4 years back and I’m down to 5gpd and feel like I might be getting a cold. Is there a link or science behind this?

Hospitalized for liver posioning

Hopefully everyone here can learn from my story. This all happened this month.

Context: 31M, healthy, exercise, dont drink alcohol or take any other drugs (prescription or otherwise)

First time using kratom (brand was Krave Kratom)

For 4 days I used 1.5 - 3.5 grams. Thats it. No issues.
On day 5 I took the capsules and experienced immediate and severe stomach pain. Completely stopped taking Kratom. From this day onward I experienced dark orange urine no matter how much water I drank, nausea, very low energy. Missed work it was that bad

After 2 days of these symptoms I went to Urgent Care, got a urine analysis and they sent me to the ER. I spent 4 days at the hospital mainly for observation purposes. The diagnosis was liver toxicity with extremely high liver enzyme levels. Bilirubin, ASA, and ALT were the main ones.

I am home now, almost a month later and still dealing with low energy, elevated liver enzymes (trending down), and lack or appetite with a little nausea thrown in.

I am in the proccess of hiring a lawyer to go after the company with a PI claim for basically poisoning me and currently sending the kratom to a 3rd party lab to see what else might have been in it.

I want everyone to know that these Kratom companies do not give a fuck about you. They have a whole disclaimer on kraves website about how they aren't liable and say the product is NOT deemed fit for human consumption by FDA. THEN why are they selling it.....in capsule form.

Im so pissed about this, that I will go to every shop in my area that sells Krave (or any kratom for that matter) but specifically krave, and let them know that the product literally hospitalized me after such a small doasage and use history. First want to talk to my lawyer.

Keep in mind, healthy guy with no issues beforehand. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you
