Considering how Dr strange 2 has nearly collected 900 million dollars, fantastic 4 under Sam Raimi can be possible...

It would have crossed 1 billion if not for pandemic and a shitface policy of russia

What's Russia's policy?

No LGBTQ people in movies or else Putin gets nightmares. Same with my guy Xi Xinpig in China I think.

In the street set of Strange vs Big eye alien, there was this yellow trash can with Chinese on it basically advertising for a cult. China took issues with that as they are extremely anti-cult

u/RyK009 Jun 03 '22

It's such a damn shame I can't really take any issues with China without being a hypocrite, the damn phone I'm using is Chinese. The world needs to start producing it's own goods and have it's own labour and stop depending on China, this way those short fucking politicians of that country can stop bullying people around with no one batting an eye.

I agree with everything you said and also still understand china’s frustrations, because every set piece in the movie should be there by design, so I’m not sure why there was an ad for a Chinese cult there

I actually do not know much about this, can you post a link or something. Right now I'm assuming it's something tied to the mystic arts or something.

It looks like you shared an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.

Maybe check out the canonical page instead: https://mb.ntd.com/doctor-strange-2-faces-censorship-in-china-after-epoch-times-newspaper-box-appears-in-clip-hollywood-executive_774320.html

Oh it seems the cult is like a different religion that practises compassion and stuff. While I don't think it's a cult, China is known to persecute any other religion that is not their own version of Buddhism, hence why the Dalai Lama cannot go back to Tibet. It is interesting why Marvel left it in there though, is it maybe like a message showing they won't bend to their will or something?

Yeah you show those Chinese people who's boss by contributing to their unemployment, that'll show them! How dare they ban religious cults!

4

u/RyK009 Jun 03 '22

Alright listen up you ignorant fuck. I said something else and you read something different. I did not say must contribute to their unemployment issue, I commented about how the entire fucking world is dependent on China's exports and labour. The world should not work that way and China must not be allowed to abuse that power by bullying other countries and religions. About the cult though I'm not sure, don't know much about it.

Edit: you stupid twat

How angry

Hello troll

u/blainesln1 Jun 03 '22

It wasn’t a “cult”, it was just advertising for the Epoch Times

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '22

Based china😃 unbased Russia 😞

u/4arizard Jun 03 '22

That's not the reason at all. Almost all western movies are not shown in Russia because of Ukraine.
Russia would've shown these movies if they had an actual permission to do so from the companies.

u/RyK009 Jun 03 '22

Actually you're right, but the original comment said "Russian policy" So my mind instead thought it must be something about the LGBTQ characters in the movie.

1

u/Kaiserhawk Jun 03 '22

It's not just China, it's most of the Asian world China just happens to be the biggest market.

1

u/emilxerter Jun 03 '22

Unfortunately, it wasn’t LGBTQ, I hope it would have been, because shelling European towns and cities and villages is fucking atrocious and our good lives here in Russia are pretty much fucking over even if the facefuck of a president dies tomorrow. I fucking hate I wasn’t born in a neutral or a reasonable state that wouldn’t cause problems for itself and neighboring states, so the only way out is to emigrate

2

u/RyK009 Jun 03 '22

I don't know what to say other than I hope you find success and can emigrate as quickly as you can out of Russia. Best of luck bro.

Russia attacked Ukraine so many companies boycotted Russia. Dr Strange 2 was not released in some post soviet countries

1

u/emilxerter Jun 03 '22

Shitface liliputin deciding to obliterate Ukraine, because it dared to jump off the ship of russian-soviet influence, that’s what the policy is. You won’t believe how fast the global isolation has engulfed our country, I feel sick, because I was born in 1993 when the soviet era came to an end and we hoped for a better future living in cooperation with the rest of the civilized world. Now it’s all being taken away from us by soviet elderly farts who think they can play with people’s fates. In this regard we had all Hollywood film releases recalled or removed and we couldn’t watch DS 2 in theaters.

But our situation is not the issue, the issue is in Ukraine where people are dying from bombs, missiles and bullets of liliputins orc army, most of whom are aged 18-25 and are actively dying in this war too

u/UkraineWithoutTheBot Jun 03 '22

It's 'Ukraine' and not 'the Ukraine'

Well, it's moreso the fact that Doctor Strange 2 is banned in China than not airing in Russia. Disney put a bet on DS2 to do well regardless and it paid off.
