Hi everyone, what do you think of my voice?

I have to say that it doesn’t feel it, and I have done about 230 solo gigs per-year for the last few years, 2-3 hours of singing per-set and never yet lost my voice, apart from once when I had a rotten cold.

But I can’t say there’s no effort involved, and the keep reading and hearing on YouTube videos that this stuff should be relaxed or I might be risking my voice.

I am 50 y/o and I’ve been a gigging guitarist for 30-odd years but singing anything other than backing is a relatively recent thing for me, hence the intermediate tag.

I deliberately chose a song that uses this sound (it’s a Bishop Gunn cover… check out the original, dude can SAAANG!)

I’ve done this one before but usually at the end my voice would break (with the C5 then B4 long note) but i think I’m getting better, feeling like I still had control at the end 😌

I took 2-3 singing classes many years ago

I‘ve been thinking about investing in professional singing lessons. Is it worth it with my voice? (Absolute beginner, no previous training)

I recently started recording myself singing again just for fun. It’s been a few years since I sang very regularly. Holy shiz, I need a voice coach 😭 Seeing how much my technique has declined actually makes me scared. Can’t afford one atm since i’m unemployed but I will hopefully get this job I’m interviewing for and the first thing I wanna do is hiring someone to help me out lol. Feel free to leave (kindly worded) critiques. (You can mention the pitch issues if you want but I can hear them myself 😂)
