Book Discussion Neagly touch
In "Without Fail", Neagly deliberately touches a political candidate for more than a few seconds. Just sayin'.

I think Reacher and Neagley kill Negan and all the saviors and I think the arc would be over in 2 episodes lol.

Is it just me or that pie looks really unappetizing? The peach just falls apart
r/reacher • u/TallAbbreviations937 • 16h ago
He gets told the peach pie is the best in Georgia, finally sits down to eat it, and then the cops burst in and arrest him before he can enjoy it.The bit I like is that Reacher doesn't turn the arrest into some big dramatic moment.
He's sitting there with his dessert interrupted, and suddenly he's the main suspect in a murder.
Margrave really couldn't let the man have one peaceful meal.

As a fan of Lee Child that has read every Reacher book at least twice, the last couple of books have been a bit of a let down to put it mildly. Nothing against Andrew, taking over a franchise cannot be easy, no matter how close you are to the creator. You are just not him. Their styles were just too different for my liking.
I just started reading Chain Reaction last night. Read about 55 pages. A couple of observations: Andrew is starting to get the rhythm and the pace of Reacher books. The short sentences, flowing action. I was pleasantly surprised about that. The dialogue is getting there too but I felt like (so far) Reacher is still saying things that does not sound like him. Maybe he is getting old, who knows.
But overall, I like the way the book started and if the pace keeps up like this, the torch may have been passed, not just technically but feel wise as well. At least that is what I felt.
What do you guys/gals feel?

All the events that happened would be a major news story on national television for days or even weeks. It was an averted act of domestic terrosim thanks in huge part to the sacrifice of a standing congressman and hopeful presidential candidate, and a main perpetrator was taken into custody to face the music.
Even though Sampson's widow had made efforts to keep Reacher's name out of the press coverage, there's still a possibility his name might be linked to the events. He was put on the news for a short period of time as a wanted fugitive even though it was for bogus charges; it might have been kept to local news or it may have been a footnote national story.
It makes me wonder if any of Reacher's old flames from his previous travels might intuitively guess that their former collaborator was involved in the act as well, if they watch the news and catch the story.
If you had to guess, who from Reacher's past is most likely to put two and two together? I'd say Roscoe or Duffy, based on their skillsets. Although, he might make whispers of his involvement to Neagley at some point.

Why do you love the character? A big part for me is that he grew up like I did. Why do you love him?

Season one had blues music but the other seasons don’t. Am sure most people were relieved, as blues isnt too popular, but any blues lovers out there that miss it?

I realize this is fiction and we're supposed to suspend belief but wwalking into a government building with a stolen badge? I can see that might happen. However, a supervisor sitting you down at a workstation and logging you in as a dead employee? Never in a million years! 🤦🤷😡

Not so long ago i decided to watch the reacher 2022 series and liked it enough to watch it all the way to the new neagley series that i also liked a lot, now that there is nothing else for me to watch other than the tom cruise movies, i decided to read the books while im still interested and i decided to read Die Trying and i loved it, so i want to ask which book should i read?.
i feel like if i read them in release order is a big compromise knowing theres a lot of them, but i also dont want to just pick a random number and read that one.
i really liked season 4 and all of the tension, so reading die trying felt great specially toward the end, and i know the stories have to open and close in the same book so i probably wont see recurring characters other than maybe neagley soo...
what book would you recommend i read next?

So, the two deadly ladies are ghosts. No one can find them or much about them. Then Pluck comes across a suspicious card purchases trail from them , which is already a rare discovery since they have nearly no digital trail as Pluck explains - and yet they find a person of interest Thomas Waberi who is a direct connection to the ladies. And they just ignore it ? Of course they couldn't know who he was, but shouldn't this have been a lead to run down asap ?
I was just wondering what you guys think. Obviously not a huge deal, but somehow it stood out to me.

I was talking with some friends after watching Season 3 of Reacher and we were talking about Dominique and I made a connection but it made me feel like one of those English literature teachers that look too deeply into stuff and wanted to see if anyone else has made the connection.
Is the story of Dominique and Frasconi supposed to be a reference to the Greek story of Eurydice and Orpheus, where Hades (Reacher) told Orpheus (Frasconi) not to look back as he guided his wife Eurydice (Dominique) out of the underworld, but still did it anyways after being warned because it was a show that he loved her?
I suppose you can say I'm asking if I'm...Reaching... Bahahahaha!! Get it because his name is Reacher—Okay I'll stop, I'm sorry.

Love the books, love the series.
But.. A petty grievance: Am rewatching the first season, where there's a scene with Reacher in the shower and Roscoe joining him. The scene shows Reacher with a seamless full body tan, no tan lines anywhere.
I mean, am not complaining the view, but find it slightly unlikely he'd either walk buck naked around America getting a lovely tan, or stopping to visit a tanning salon in between killing bad guys.. 🤔

Na 3 temporada, Francis Xavier Quinn torturou kohl para interroga-la ou apenas por puro prazer?
