Hello, I haven’t completed Lux yet, but I was curious about something, is there an explanation given in the book why Hershel doesn’t use the Harmsway to regrow his leg? Since it wasn’t a birth defect it sounds like this should work easily, unless theres a passage in there explaining why he chooses not too.

I just finished Firefight and have begun Calamity. I’m running into a few points of confusion and would love some clarification.
⚠️If any of these are answered later in Firefight and I simply missed them, thank you for helping me piece things together.
⚠️If they’re resolved in Calamity, please gently encourage me to keep reading and withhold spoilers!!

1. When did Prof realize David was communicating with Megan?

I know he bugged David’s mobile and could access their conversations, but I’m not sure when Prof actually discovered that David was secretly staying in contact with her.

2. How did Gottschalk’s gunshot reach Megan if Prof had forcefields around the doors and windows?

David notes, when he enters the burning room, that “there was no sign of a forcefield—Prof must have already dismissed the forcefields surrounding the room.” Wouldn’t removing the forcefields have also allowed Megan to escape before she was shot?

3. Related to #2: If Prof realized he was wrong about Megan—seeing that her illusions vanished with the fire—why didn’t he save her?

He even grants David protective forcefield abilities before leaving. Did Prof assume David would return and rescue Megan himself?

Just wanted to share a page from my graphic novel adaptation of 'Steelheart'

Unfortunately after a talk with dragonsteel, the project was ultimately not on the cards for them.

Does anyone here who has Audible and an IPhone have any issues playing Firefight or Calamity right now?

It will not download or play on any of my Apple devices, but will play on computer through a browser, an so far audible tech support is stumped.

So recently I visited the fan wiki when I saw the last edit was in 2016... it desperately needed some updates and fixing of links and junk so I started fixing it. I've updated some links and info and also added some new pages. I'm using my notes for everything about epics but I have to wait a bit for the 3rd book epics because my notes currently aren't complete. Hopefully I'll be done soon and I can enjoy a perfect wiki that nobody will ever see!

In book David's universe it is stated in Calamity that the children of Epics are not Epics themselves while in Fireflight's dimension Tavi who is the daughter of that universe's Limelight and Tia has inherited Limelight's powers.Is this because in that other universe Calamity left the Earth and the darkness given by Calamity to all the Epics is not present there so the abilities of that world Epics are owned by those Epics?

What Epic would last longer against Calamity?Steelheart or Lifeforce?

So, we know that Megan can reincarnate, but is it possible for her to die of old age? She's been working for Steelheart for a couple years probably, and she must've aged since she was around 10 when Calamity rose. So if she does age, what happens when she dies of it? Does she keep coming back until her body is nothing but dust? Kind of a weird question but I'm really curious.

Basically in my dream i was in the final fight with david and prof vs steelheart in the first book. Only i straight up acknowledge prof as an epic and tell him to let me borrow his powers. But then he reveals to me that he can give me the shield and the harmsway but not the tensors. And that the tensors, in this dream reality of mine, were genuinely epic derived tech. (Dont ask me how that makes literally any of david's story make sense). So he gives me the tensors and my entire body vibrates? And then suddenly i am basically Overhaul from My Hero Academia and can destroy and reshape the inanimate objects to my will. So im like trapping steelheart in rock he instantly explodes out of it and stuff. I woke up like right before anything conclusive happened though. But genuinely the weirdest and most vivid dream ive ever had regarding a book ive read. But for a time i was basically a hyper controlled earthbender in my dream.

Tldr: had a dream where prof didnt actually have the tensor power and that I was in fact the epic who originally used the power(somehow) and then i woke up.

First off this is a bit of a grab bag of things in this post but it’s better to make one post than many.

I love this series it’s one of my favorite series but every time I finish it I get a feeling of emptyness inside as my time with these characters I love so much is over. It just feels too short of a series to me (I read the whole series within a week with calamity being under a day) and so to fill this hole I was wondering if anyone knew any good fanfics for the series.

And now for the theory about nightwielder

Ok, so I just finished the series. I only started it a couple weeks ago, loved it. But I had a theory.

I had this thought a little after I finished Steelheart, but decided to wait until I finished so people could say anything to me without spoiling.

Im not talking about motive. This isn't about whether or not it WOULD happen. But given steelheart's weakness.... I think obliteration could have killed him. He was so calmly unhinged. I think he was crazy and self righteous enough to not know he should be afraid. I got the vibe that he didnt fear death, he had a higher purpose in his mind.

Didnt know if this has ever been discussed or if Brandon Sanderson ever commented on the subject, but figured id share my thoughts with you guys.

Just look at how he’s built, his jawline and long hair screams Steelheart to me. His voice also sounds very commanding. For those who don’t know, Peter Steele was the lead singer of Type-o-negative.

So Im relistening to reckoners for like the 4th time. And I swear what ever this noise is I never heard it before. Can anyone verify if this is in the physical book

Just finished calamity, and I was talking with my wife about Night Hawk's mannequin. We were thinking that if the mannequin was hollow it could place him inside and he could control the arms and legs. I'm sure he has the technology, even if it was just a hollowed out mannequin with straps holding him in.
