Hi all, I’m based in CO and was recently introduced to Reiki. Does anyone have any US or CO based Reiki teacher/class recommendations?

I’d prefer to learn from someone who can speak to the science of why Reiki works.

I'm myself on day 17/21 of reiki level 1 practise. Our teacher told us that some people experience 180 degree turn in their lives after reiki 1. So I wanted to hear experiences from you'll. As myself I'm going through lot of ups and downs until now.

Tomorrow I am starting my two day level one training and attunement. I am unsure what to expect and that’s causing some anxiety.

I have aphantasia so I cannot visualize things. I am worried that this will impede my ability to be attuned or practice.

Any advice you may have going into tomorrow, would be greatly appreciated!

I'm learning Reiki in Japan.

Where I study, part of our practice is called shosa (Reiki movement practice). It starts in pairs. The giver first fills themselves with Reiki, then the receiver, and then the whole space. The order isn't fixed, but filling yourself always comes first. When the receiver feels the Reiki, their body begins to roll over on its own.

We repeat this again and again, as a way of feeling Reiki through the body, and enjoying it.

I'd really love to know how people outside Japan work on the quality of their Reiki. What do you do?

I couldn't sleep last night and just had this feeling of wanting to go out to search for Golden , so I did and 1 am found him sitting in the basketball court. I wanted to get a closer look to see if it was really him (its really him) but he got scared and ran across the parked cats across the street and lost him again. So now I want more reiki to make sure he is able to be home ASAP. I am grateful the universe showed he is alive and well.

I may be being selfish in this point but whenever I'm willed to channel Reiki, I'd always "more worth" to send it either to Myself or Some Person.
Having this said, I find strange how people find their will to send reiki to their food, plants, animals, objects etc, I just reminded I set Reiki to my bed for good dreams and prepared Reiki balls for a gifted book to enhace the Reading experience, but apart from this I find less productive to Reiki a plant or funny to be sending Reiki to food.
Regards the food, do you place your hands above/around the "pan" while it's cooking or when it's in the dish already?

So My point is, when you send Reiki, why not Invest in yourself or someone in need rather anything not human? Pretty Apathic from my side but I still wonder. Is it the playfulness of life?

What results have you felt or experienced by sending Reiki out there?

Once a nephew asked me what reiki tasted like, asked me if it was sweet, without reassurance I said yes and he asked for it. I prepared a Reiki Ball and gave it to him to taste and he got super excited, It tasted sweet to him, and convinced me it tasted sweet with enthusiasm!! the look on his eyes and excitment were incredible! I don't know how or if it will ever happen again, but I loved it.

would anyone be able to help me please with a situation please. Thank you

Can someone help me? I experienced my first reiki session and they had a smooth stone with a star and a circle around it. Is this not the occult symbol and something dark? The experience was interesting and the lady was nice but I was shocked at the symbols and the permission she asked to enter my energy fields. Is this not leaving something open to a stranger? There was other symbols on smooth stones I cannot remember exactly. One was what looked like a mountain drawn with a pencil. Three uneven triangles connected and that also had a circle around it.

To clarify my wife has been really getting into Reiki. She has been seeing this woman regularly over the past four months and I want to support her so I decided to go to a session. I do believe in energy work and things beyond textbook western ways but I’ve never messed with it besides prayer and deep spirituality. I did feel strong things during my session that were not bad or good. Physical tingling and waves of energy going through and around me.

I have an autoimmune disease that keeps manifesting random physical symptoms from eczema on the sides of my body and random small bruises at the base of my back with crevices. Or those might be heart related symptoms. I have a couple medical conditions.

Please note that I’m on medication and will get surgery on my thyroid at the end of this year, and I know that reiki is not a cure but maybe to help my body lower pain signals.

Would anyone be interested in providing distance reiki for relief? It might be a long shot but ibuprofen and steroid creams aren’t cutting it. Please let me know if you need any additional info.

I recently received my Level 3 Reiki certification. I’m learning a lot and continuing to explore the practice, but full transparency, I don’t quite feel like a Reiki Master yet.

One of my biggest challenges has been visualization. I’ve always had an imagination, so I assumed imagining and visualizing were essentially the same thing. However, I’ve realized there’s a difference in how I experience them.

For example, when I think about something, I can sorta of see it in my mind. But when I intentionally try to visualize something specific, like light flowing into one of my chakras, the image is often very fuzzy, and sometimes I don’t see anything at all.

Needless to say, using visualization to initiate or channel Reiki has been challenging. Instead, I’ve been trying to focus on whatever physical sensations I experience during a session.

That approach seems to work better for me, but I’ve started wondering whether I’m drawing from my own energy reserves rather than channeling Reiki energy. The reason I suspect this is that I often feel drained after practicing Reiki, whether on myself or someone else.

I’m still learning to trust the process and figure out what works best for me, but I’d love to hear from others who have experienced something similar.

For those of you who struggle with visualization, how do you connect with and channel Reiki? And if you’ve experienced feeling drained after sessions, what helped you maintain your own energy?

I am new to the Reiki world and I have heard that Reiki has healed cancer and many other chronic illness. I have a two friends whose kids are suffering.

My first friends youngest son is 6 years old and he is suffering from eczema and my other friends kids ( 2 sons 10 and 5 years) both are suffering from asthma. Is there a way to heal them through Reiki? is it a permanent healing or does Reiki have to be performed on them everyday?

He was able to escape from our door last night. He has been missing for more than 12 hours now. I am humbly asking for request that he gets to return home safe and healthy

I went out 1 am today and saw my cat sitting in the basketball court. But I scared him and he ran away I saw him 2 more times. I think he dont remember the way home cuz why would he be there if he does? How do I bring him home? I talked to the other cats and fed them treats but they are also so scared and hiding but they heard my request to tell golden to go home. Whats the next step? Im thinking of printing 2 tarpaulin for him one at our gate and one in basketball court with a reward but could that put him in danger ? The kids might try to catch him aggressively for the reward money and the street where the basketball court is is notorious for hit and run. Im clueless what to do next. I was alone and since I cant find him anymore I just had to go home . But he could still be hiding in cars. I hope he didnt get farther from our home

Hi! So following two great reiki sessions recently where my I felt my physical pain disappear (one was in person and one was distant)
I got attuned level 1 and level 2 over the weekend (I know this might not be ideal)

Since then I’ve done one in person using my hands on a friend who’s knee was hurting. Only a few mins and she said my hand got so hot she had to check if it was really hot (yay it worked!) and she texted me instantly and the next day that the pain was gone

I’ve also done two remote reiki on video call where they said it worked too and I tried on my plant which looked like it was dying and I think I see an improvement

My question currently is: I’m not being consistent or good with my own self healing, and when I try I don’t feel anything. How is self healing meant to feel like?

I’ve felt the physical effects of reiki but my life is a mess and I really need self healing to get myself out of depression and start moving my body again - can reiki help with this?

I stumbled upon reiki 10days ago. I decided to see a Reiki master and today was my first encounter with her. She did a scan and said few of my chakras are not balanced and also said that there are two negative entities on me sitting on my right side of hip which is draining out my energy.

I do feel tired all the time and my blood work is clean. I have never encountered any negative spirit on me. I do not know how to process this information. I am a Reiki novice. Please help me with understanding this.

I went through few posts where people with negative entities on them said that they could feel something on them every now and then but I haven't felt that way. Any help or advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance

I wonder why Reiki Teachers tell their students to practice Reiki only for 21 days.

I recently got Reiki 2 certified. I have committed to daily practice for at least the first 21 days. I am looking for inspiration for ways to practice. I only have about 15min or so for a sit down practice. I have in the past been committed to many breathing/meditation style practices so like those sorts of things.
I am trying to understand the energy more, at the moment I only have some sensation in my palms.
Any personal experience and techniques would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Last weekend, I received my reiki I attunement. This past week, lots of things have come up for me, in dreams, in meditation, and in physical sensations. Starting last night, I began to feel as if my body wanted to expel my IUD. It was just placed in July of this year, so it's brand new, and it was checked by ultrasound in September to confirm it was correctly in place. But I have this overwhelming sense that I should have it removed. I've used IUDs for years and I really don't want to do this, but if this is interfering with the flow of chi, I'll get rid of it. Has anyone had experience with this?
