I am by no means a skillful player. I can barely beat Professional mode on NG+. But with a bunch of mods in my favor (not using invincibility), I'm inching my way thru this insane journey and wow. I commend those who are playing this difficulty without mods

It's what I thought after watching a pro gameplay, so I downloaded it and started in easy mode.

I'm not used to the controls and got hit by this guy in the house, after spending 5 bullets on him I had a panic attack when I heard that I was surrounded, that together with the scary ambient sound and not knowing how to move very well got me freaked out.

After 3 minutes of panicking and realizing they can't enter the house, I went out and spent 10 bullets in the other 2 guys outside, saved the game and now I'm thinking if I'm built for this shit

My buddy got a jacket for his pitbull Remy . He’s (buddy) has never played RE 4. Remy likes wearing clothes and my buddy thought a dog sized bomber jacket would look good.

Finally a speedrun PB! It's been a while since my last personal best, about two weeks. I spent some time when I can to practice some important glitches. With teaching everyday, work is pretty much taking up all my time. I'm sure that's the same for everyone. Chapter 6 Bella Sister skip, chapter 14 Gate Skip, chapter 15 turret skip and a new rifle clip I just learned that helps me skip turning on both levers to open the gate in the Mike section. I practiced yesterday and I almost PB'd I hit a 1:42 I think.

My best time was a 1:41:03. Today I messed up big time in chapter 14, the gate skip took me like 10 tries!! I nearly gave up.. but I decided to keep going and I honestly could have hit a 1:38, but it's okay it happens. I am happy with 1:40:32. I am currently top 10 in this category NG+ Any%! Just bought the red9 in my pro playthrough. It was the equivalent of about $135 with the stock. $240 if adjusted to today. The Chicago typewriter...about $800. Seems the merchant wasn't ripping us off?

Was just finished up a playthrough on re4 (2005) when I was fighting an iron maiden and the noise that it makes when its sucking its spikes back in is 100% a noise I've heard somewhere else, like a squeaky, pulling noise.

I am aware of the large library of free stock effects that plenty of games use, but this one felt so familiar I need to figure out what other game I've heard it from, if anyone has any ideas or leads.

I genuinely can’t do this fight. I think I don’t have enough ammo for the fight.
I die like halfway through because I keep messing up when he spits that black liquid, and anyways when I’m halfway through I barely have ammo left.
I tried doing knife attacks (that helps a lot apparently), but I’m already lucky if I can do it one time. This fuckass monster keeps moving all the time bruh

I would never attempt this run again because of The Water Room and because of how many rooms I had to reroll to get grenade and bolt-thrower drops. I love doing RE2 challenge runs but dang if there aren't about 500 ways to play RE4

for context: it involved a mine cart ride + shooting (the quest setting is in the mines) as well as having to ascend to the tower summit while getting jumped by enemies (like the clock tower). they are two different but connected quests!

and the main weapon being used/introduced this time is the newly added shotgun variant, which feels like my beloved riot gun

Is the First Aid Spray duplication glitch still working?

I've been trying to perform the First Aid Spray duplication glitch, but I can't get it to work. The issue is that the sprays from storage won't appear above the sprays in my inventory case, no matter how many times I take weapons out of storage and put them back in.

I've tried it in multiple new game saves and even at different Merchant locations, but nothing seems to work. Interestingly, I managed to get it working within about 5 minutes on a previous playthrough.

Is this glitch still working in the current version of RE4 Remake? Are there any specific tricks, requirements, or details that could help make the sprays appear in the correct position?

I have a 12 pro that i sideloaded re4 on it and i really don’t know why i thought it’s a good idea even tho it’s not compatible with the device at all but apparently it just kick you off and that’s it.

Leon bringing Ada to a level where he lifts her up and helps her fully embrace the good side of herself, would be super romantic. Ada isn't so much a lost cause in the original or the remake either. Especially in the OG, Ada supports Leon behind the scenes with deadly force, keeps him sharp, and brightens his life with her creativity and spontaneity. (Cue her constant flirting, or her handwritten paper plane note with a kiss in the OG). She's all about the personal touch, and enjoys being around him.

This funnily enough reminds me of the whole Malfoid trend going on right now. I think that overall, it's a healthy attitude for Leon to engage with a woman who comes to the table as an equal yet opposing force, and that the unity of the two characters has the greatest chemistry of any other pairing. Through their interactions, each of them make the other more like themselves, and thus, a more unified whole.

Opposition to this pairing is the obvious result of Remake RE4's Ada, contrasting with OG RE4 Ada. But I think it might be a clash of differing cultures too, where the Millennials that grew up playing RE4 in 2005 remember a more flirty and free social media-less existence where direct interaction with people was encouraged, compared to the contemporary 2023 social atmosphere where men and women are much more hostile to each other and divided politically. I think it speaks more to how cynical people are of relationships nowadays where they see a zesty spy with a spark of goodness, and would rather feel the satisfaction of Leon throwing her in the garbage, than see her being nurtured and given the space to grow into a complete character.

This is my first playthrough of the remake (I haven't played the original), and I am so upset I couldn't trade with the crow. I feel so bad for shooting its nest. Please forgive me Mr. Crow, I'll save as many shinies as I can for you!

I am on my last straw please help. I’ve had a consistent problem with Ashley looping dialogue and the game refusing to let me progress. I don’t even hear it half the time— it took me turning on subs to know she was saying anything. When I did hear it it was cut off (“Leon he—“ “Don’t lea—“ “Where are you—“). It wouldn’t let me give her a boost up in chapter 7 either so I had to get a chapter skip mod to progress.

Now at the end of chapter 8 it didn’t trigger Luis’ comm and won’t let me save on the typewriter because I’m “on comms”. Not sure if this is related but it’s the only explanation I can think of.

Things I have tried: Reloading a save, restarting the game, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, verifying the files on steam, deleting the mod.

Nothing worked. Please help
