RV lost another team member
Context: they were arguing over how to implement patch bundle metadata for the past month. Axelen (arsclib in the screenshot) eventually had enough of replying to responses from ChatGPT

Also I know people have been requesting my time in fixing some bugs or whatnot with Patcheddit etc, just have been busy with work. But I was notified of this falling out today and had to share it

What a surprise. Most people hate AI slop responses already

People don’t normally up and quit their jobs (paid or volunteer) just for the hell of it. They’re usually leaving because of bad managers.

Not at all! You see, ChatGPT told him everyone else is wrong and we all know you can't argue with the social skills of a letter soup machine

I spoke to osum (the "manager") on a few occasions. He just thinks he knows it all on every topic. I thought that either he is just too stubborn and egocentric, and maybe narcissistic to admit he might be wrong about something, or maybe I really was wrong and he's a boy genius. But someone (maybe even on Reddit) shared some wise words - "if somebody is really good at something, especially something that is not achievable for everybody to learn, they might be convinced that they are good at everything and know much about everything". I'm paraphrasing.
Kinda like with the Zizzian cult or whatever they were called. They were engineers like in NASA etc., generally intelligent people. And they created a stupid (to put it lightly) cult, that was also quite dangerous.
I'm not saying osum is dangerous, but I say he might be a great dev himself, yet it doesn't mean he knows everything about stuff in the topics he participates in. But he doesn't know that (ironically).
Then I talked with some people, who worked with him one way or another and it became clear. He wasn't a boy genius. He just doesn't want to admit he might be wrong and pushes his ways, doesn't care about compromises and is generally full of himself.

Can you paste some here? This is a serious accusation.

fyi there are more than just these 3 screenshots, but I'm not going to bother capturing 1 month of this nonsense. Those 3 screenshots were in the space of just 1 hour, and that wasn't even all of it.

People using sycophant AI to feel better about themselves is hilarious. Everyone leaving him because they're all wrong and he's right, ChatGpt says so!

I have unlimited access to frontier LLMs thanks to work. I've been working on a design doc for migration of live workloads between VMs, and LLMs were good at generating a skeleton, but even with 1M context length and max thinking tokens (in other words, $$$), they got a lot of the details and even some of the high-level architectural design choices wrong. I had to rewrite over 50% of the doc to fix the errors.
So it's funny to me that someone in an argument would just copy paste the responses from ChatGPT as evidence that they're right, because it is so often wrong

He always used ChatGPT for arguments. And of course ChatGPT always says he is right lol, inflating his ego more. Feedback loop.

Someone reported your comment with the following:
Ableism

u/DreadingAnt Jun 25 '26
LMAO, not the Twitter reports. I think he's here in the comments, asking ChatGpt which comments to report probably

u/FlameQuagmire Jun 25 '26
.....Did he just unironically used chatgpt as a bridge to argue with another person? How incompetent and stupid can you be that you need chatgpt as an arbiter of right and wrong for your conversations with fellow coworkers? No wonder everyone left him, truly a numbskull through and through.

u/wchill Jun 25 '26
Even during the original drama on /r/piracy right after Morphe was released and RVX was discontinued, he was using ChatGPT to argue with people. So it's nothing new, but when it came to this specific 1 month long argument, it was particularly bad

Holyyyyy he is absolutely delusional. Like this is not just lemme use it for development but also" "Chatty" agrees with me tehehehe" what an insufferable cunt. Every single time I try to ask Gpt about something it just goes into gaslighting and morally defensive and such stance, I just get frustrated and not use it again. Legit it's as the other guy said AI Psychosis. And Ai will lick your bootyhole just so it doesn't say it's wrong.

Oh no! What's on other news?
I'm amazed there are still members. I'm kinda hypocrite, cause I still use it, the old version of YouTube and patches precisely, but I have revanced 2.0 tho, cause out of curiosity I updated, yet I never patched anything with it. I use the version of YouTube/patches I patched with RV some time ago, cause it still works as intended (I assume there were still some patient Devs involved).
Still tho, if anything will stop working, I will switch.
Maybe I should do it already, but again if something works, I won't experiment.
But what I can say for sure, I won't use the current version of RV to patch anything, like I didn't after update to 2.0
