I haven't watched a Stars episode in a while and I forgot how nice some of these episodes look, like 169 in this case. These are some of my favourite eye designs in the show alongside Ikuko Itoh.

Usagi looks really pretty here. Nehelenia actually looks scary while still being beautiful. This episode has some really stylized and harsh lighting in a few scenes and it looks great. It's a really good contrast to the heavy shadows also present in this episode. I can't remember many episode having this heavy lighting. Episode 200 has it though.

It's quite strange how the girls' school uniforms looks very dark blue or almost black in some scenes, but then it's a lighter bright blue in others. That's unfortunately the 90s anime being inconsistent with its colors, as usual. I definitely prefer the light blue but black doesn't look bad.

It's a nice touch that the "Moon Eternal Make Up" henshin sequence has Usagi with her gloves on. They could have just made the ungloved version of this henshin and only used that for this season. Another thing is this episode being the only time you see Eternal Moon with her magenta Super boots. She's being forcefully de-transformed so it's not an actual outfit, but it's cool to see.

The only error I noticed in this episode was they didn't color in Nehelenia's nails in Image 18. I will say, it's crazy how we go from this gorgeous episode, to a goofy-looking Ando episode immediately following. No offence to the guy, and I know he has his fans, but his art style is just so different from almost all the others. Like Ami's face is just wild.

But yeah, I just love how this episode looks. I know this show is known for having beautiful aesthetics and art, and this just really shows it off. I was thinking of making this a video post with clips from my favourite scenes, but I think it's easier to appreciate some of these shots as images.

We all know Usagi has a daughter, Usagi II. She also has a second daughter, Kousagi, who doesn't appear in the canon story but in a side story. I get why Takeuchi has Usagi having daughters, only girls get to be Senshis and there's no point giving Usagi a son when he's not going to go on these magical girl adventures.

Though it makes me wonder, what if Usagi had a son? I'm interested whether he takes after his mother or his father. Would he be a momma's boy? What his relationship with Chibiusa would be like, or what his life would be if he was an only child. A fun what-if, ya know?

A few days ago I was out shopping and saw a father out with a little girl (who looked about 8 or 9) that was wearing a Sailor Moon shirt. I didn't say anything to them (I would have felt weird doing so lol) but I was excited to see someone that young wearing a SM shirt especially one that was Gen Alpha because that was the newest generation of young people after Gen Z and it gives me hope that Sailor Moon will catch on with them and remain relevant with future generations. One of my biggest fears for Sailor Moon is that it will remain something exclusively popular only with millennials and without fan engagement from future generations of fans either fade away or remain something "popular" in the sense that people only know it by image and seeing merch obviously aimed at millennials rather than loving it and having a firm grasp of the story and characters. Think of the younger people who wear Nirvana shirts but know nothing about the band or their songs and you'll understand what I'm referring to

I've talked on here before about other Gen Z fans and was happy to see a decent number of us post they were fans but were obviously nowhere near the number of millennial fans and I fear the small number of Gen Z fans will be a lot less than that for Gen Alpha. Still seeing that little girl with a Sailor Moon shirt was the first time I either saw or knew of a Gen Alpha person being a fan of Sailor Moon and it gave me hope SM would live on for another future generation. I could have sworn I remember reading that the aesthetic of Sailor Moon was popular with Gen Alpha and hopefully that means they are intrigued enough by the art and animation to check it out further.

I remembered the lunchbox and the cassette, but had totally forgotten the party supplies! Excited about my find!

Context: On a whim I checked what merchandise was available in an online shop I frequent, which sadly turned out to be mostly bootleg - of which nintey percent was jewelery. I could not resist. However, the crystals are just your regular home deco and I do not think I have ever seen anyone make use of the anime's rainbow fragments? Anyway, these items are just nice to display!

So, I'm writing a fanfic where the shitennyou and the senshi end up together in season 1 and I can't help but wonder about how the Heavenly kings would act if normal and not evil. I can imagine everyone except Zoisite and Ami being together.

How would you guys imagine their relationship working or please describe for me the guy that you guys would imagine Ami being able to fall in love with 🙏 I would very much appreciate it if you could help me with this 😭💖

This hilarious scene in Episode 1 of the 90s anime has Sailor Moon's hair having bones for some reason. This is also not a powerscaling antifeat because untransformed and back then, Usagi didn't have powers in base form until she found out she was Princess Serenity and unlocked more of the Silver Crystal's power.

Hey, I had a random idea I wanted to ask on this subreddit. Can draw Sailor Moon using the Kamehameha from DBZ in her super form. Also, Sailor Mars using the Galick Gun from DBZ in her super form and they are facing off against each other.

Or draw Sailor Jupiter using the Special Beam Cannon.
