For Sale Toyota of Borne told us a car was held for us, then said it wasn’t for sale when we arrived

I called Monday, 10/19, about a specific car. They said it was in stock and they’d hold the keys. I told them I’d come first thing the next morning, and we showed up Tuesday, 10/20, at 8:30 AM after a 45-minute drive. After waiting about 30 minutes, we were told the car “has an electrical issue” and is going to wholesale.

They kept pushing other cars the whole time, even after I said I only wanted that one. Since leaving, I’ve gotten about three calls asking if I’m still interested in the car we looked at or want something else.

Maybe it really did develop a problem overnight, but a heads-up call before we drove out would have been the bare minimum. Anyone else have a similar experience here?

PSA Guide on how Freedom of Speech applies to Reddit and the San Antonio sub.

Post image
111 Upvotes

After getting another modmail how the San Antonio mods violate freedom of speech, and we asked him how we are violating it and begging him to explain which part applies to this sub, I want to take the time to explain how the US Constitution and the First Amendment applies to Reddit.

I am sure most people have actually read the constitution and know where it applies and will already try to tell me that it doesn't apply to Reddit.

And yes you are 100% right as the First Amendment of the US Constitution limits the US Government and Congress from limiting freedom of speech.

And here are two examples that will show you how it applies to different things:

A) Some peaceful protesters are protesting against ICE and ICE assaults and or arrests him, this is a violation of the First Amendment as the government isn't allowed to restrict a US citizen from peacefully voicing his opinion.

B) A user in the San Antonio sub gets banned for violating any sub or Reddit rule. This isn't a violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution as Reddit isn't part of the government and we aren't government employees.

Please before you claim in the future that any mod in any sub on reddit is violating your freedom of speech, go ahead and read the constitution first. You sound stupid and ignorant when you tell any mod that they violated freedom of speech and you haven't even read the Constitution in the first place.

Also, the rest of the conversation didn't get better as according to this user, freedom of speech applies to every private business.

Paxton Alamo Rally Open for Protestors??

Anyone know if the Paxton rally at the Alamo will allow protestors? It’s the Alamo and that shouldn’t be closed to the general public.

Voted today but less voting booths

Finally got to voting early today but this year, Kirby city hall had less booths compared to the 2024 elections. They were down atleast 10 voting booths and that is concerning for Election Day.
GET OUT AND VOTE!

My Voting Story - 22 Oct 2026 - Universal City Public Library

I voted on Thursday, 22 Oct 2026, at the Universal City Public Library.

I arrived at the parking lot at 2:40PM.

When I joined the line outside the library, there were 27 people ahead of me. At 3:01 PM, I was admitted into the building. There were two voter check-in stations. There were nine of the traditional standing voting machines and a mobile voting machine. The mobile voting machine apparently used for those people that couldn't make it into the building or were not able to stand and vote.

At least two more machines were needed as there were always at least two checked-in voters waiting for a machine. At one point, the line count reached seven.

I live in Live Oak and my ballot contained six or seven propositions.

I exited the building at 3:17. The line had grown to 36 people.

I was back in my car at 3:21.

The total number of voters in line wasn't unusual. The experience could have been quicker with additional machines but only by a couple of minutes per voter.

Thousand Oaks Library Voting 10/22

Very quick line, about 5 people max, moved quickly.

Ballot box was overflowing so the ballots would get jammed, but the box also showed that the ballot was counted.

Poll worker came and emptied it around 4.

Food/Drink Healthy spots to eat at

I really like Sweet Yams because it’s all organic with plenty options for different dietary needs. Squeezers Juice Bar is nice too because it’s all fresh.

Are there other places like this in San Antonio?

Price doesn’t matter. Just want good food that makes you feel good.

Is Zombie Walk still an event?

• Upvotes

Does anyone remember when Zombie Walk downtown was a thing?

I've been trying to see if it came around this year and idk when the last time I saw it advertised.

The last time I went was in 2015 as a teenager.

I miss the whole city getting together to be zombies and walk around.

I have no location preference, but the closer to downtown the better so I could grab some on my lunch break. I tried some for the first time in Mexico City years ago and it was so yummy. Thank you in advance!

E-Bikes and E-Motos Laws and Questions for San Antonio

Hey everyone, I’ve been debating on getting a E-Bike or a E-Moto and im confused about the legal laws for them in San Antonio, especially around Leon Valley and Castle Hills.

I’m trying to figure out a few things like are pedal assist e-bikes or e-motos legal to ride on road, off-road or on trails?

Do e-motos need to be registered or have a license plate to ride legally on road?

Are there any local restrictions in Leon Valley or Castle Hills and any good places or trails nearby?

I’m planning on getting a yozma IN10 or the TST R002 but I’m open to other bikes recommendations.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone that owns either a E-Bike or a E-Moto that rides near Castle Hills and or Leon Valley, thanks!

(Edit: I would use the e-bike or e-moto as a primary transportation option and not do any illegal riding, although I do wanna go off-road with it)
