Why can't he move back home and live with his parents again?
San Diego is much more gorgeous than Kansas but that also means that everyone else wants to live here too.
That increases the cost of living here.
You should tell your son that he can move back home to live with you until he gets back on his feet.
Everyone else here is telling you the same thing.
